  1. More funny than anyting else, but at least twice, Obama refers to the town he is in by the wrong name, and noone corrects him. Amazing what you can get away with when you are the messiah.
  2. QUOTE (Rex Kicka** @ May 24, 2008 -> 09:04 AM) Because there has never been an official language in the United States, just a dominant one. And I think that is wrong also.
  3. QUOTE (shipps @ May 24, 2008 -> 07:17 AM) I hate when people spam this site. What is the damn point when no one reads their stupid threads! I hate that people actually fall for spam. i mean, hasn't everyone heard about the 'long lost relative that had 10 million dollars and just needs your account to get it out of their country, and that they will give you half for helping' yet?
  4. WOuld make for an interesting trivia question. But yeah, that is a big ego killer.

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ May 23, 2008 -> 02:16 PM) Awesome, thanks for the answer. I honestly watched the whole thing, and I might've laughed out loud three times. And those laughs even felt forced. It was probably hilarious back in its day, but I could've watched it without even cracking a smile. It was not funny. Try watching Meatballs instead.
  6. I met a new business neighbor today, and he is a Sox fan. Resulted in using 20 minutes of a very slow day talking about the Sox. A very good thing indeed.
  7. I have not seen the traveling wall yet. I did see the one in DC a few years back. It was very moving (no pun intended).
  8. QUOTE (Texsox @ May 23, 2008 -> 07:53 AM) And only about 2,000 have Dem somewhere in the text Don't forget 'liberal', 'muslim', 'illegal alien', or 'pancakes'.
  9. QUOTE (shipps @ May 23, 2008 -> 06:58 AM) Once I reached 1000 I kind of lost the fire to build up my count anymore. Those 10,000 numbers seem ridiculous and unreachable in my book. I know what you mean. I have about 3800, in 4 years, and I swear it seems like should have thousands more. Oh well. Glad I won't fire myself.
  10. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 22, 2008 -> 09:32 PM) If you'd drilled in ANWR 10 years ago, you'd just be starting to get oil out now, it would be on the order of 100k barrels a day, and all it would be doing would be pushing the price down a little bit or pushing consumption worldwide up a bit The stories I read, and the one referenced above say 1 million per day, not 100,000 per day.
  11. QUOTE (Texsox @ May 22, 2008 -> 10:21 PM) If it costs $150 for the ANWR oil, it would be worse. I have never seen an estimate that had ANWR oil for less. It was always about reducing the dependency on foreign oil, but at an economic and environmental cost. BTW-- Landshark tonight, I think it must be a Budweiser product ~~ and~~ I sent an email to your work. Got the email, had sent you a reply.
  12. Apparently now she wants to nationalize the oil companies just like Hugo! Her brain cramp when trying to find the right words, and the person in the background laughing at her are priceless. http://en.sevenload.com/videos/5R0Ex3l-Waters-oil
  13. I think somewhere in there is the real amount, between his .01 cent and .62 cents. So which is it, a million barrels a day saves a penny or .62 cents? Even factoring in initial costs, it can't eat up all the difference. So which number is he exagerating?

  15. I'm sitting here at my desk, playign poker, checking out Soxtalk and my fantasy baseball team and having a Miller beer. Am I living the High Life?
  16. QUOTE (Texsox @ May 22, 2008 -> 04:43 PM) "Amateurs, every thread is an opportunity to grow your post count" -- Southsider2k5 copy and paste, the lazy man's bread and butter.

  19. QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ May 22, 2008 -> 03:50 PM) This is the one for you and me both then! Miles Autiomotive If they can pull it of it will be unbelievable. The top one looks ok. As long as it would get me to and from work, and be bigger than the smart twofour, it would work.
  20. I would think that for me, the electric models would have to get over 100 miles between charges, and not take all night to recharge. Oh, and also cost less than $153,000!
