    Best Name Ever

How would you have liked to grow up with this name. http://www.todayszaman.com/tz-web/detaylar...amp;link=117477
  5. Apply to the back of the neck , works if you will be slow dancing, her head on your shoulders, etc. Then you can work on getting the panties to drop.
  6. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jul 26, 2007 -> 04:09 PM) I had the link ready to go for this thread, ha. Hindsight is 20/20. When it happened, 90% of the board loved it, including myself. It was a risk that backfired. You sure? I seem to remember alot of people wondering about the 4 year part. Sure, everyone was happy he would be back, but i remember alot of complaints about the length of the contract.
  7. QUOTE(Chet Lemon @ Jul 26, 2007 -> 04:07 PM) I don't think so because the four dissenters thought that the State Court violated Equal Protection like the majority. Where they differed was that they argued the Supreme Court should not have decided whether or nor to stop the recount, but instruct the State Court to provide clear standards for recounting ballots. Don't you mean 'stop the third recount'? Or was it the fourth? Whichever, they were going to keep counting until they made it 'right'.
  8. It did sound alot like sour grapes.
  9. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Jul 23, 2007 -> 02:49 PM) Is Juddling married to Alpha, or something? Juddling and I are brothers, and he works for me. I often leave myself logged in on one of the computers, and he often forgets to check who is logged in before posting.
  10. QUOTE(NUKE @ Jul 23, 2007 -> 12:04 AM) There's a grey line between being an OPSEC ( operational security ) violator and a traitor. Basically it all boils down to malicious intent. If a guy is knowingly giving away information then he's a traitor but if he is doing so, as this guy was, by just not watching what he was saying, then no. The whole concept of "Loose Lips Sink Ships" applies here. You may be having just a normal conversation with a person but if you're really not careful about what you say, then you can give away small bits of information that can be pieced together to form a larger picture. Sounds like a touchy situation. He still needs to be slapped down for that, regardless of intent, I guess it is just a matter of 'how hard'.
  11. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Jul 23, 2007 -> 11:48 AM) You know what? I had the EXACT same thought when I read your post that Rex actually posted. It was a pretty good reply, actually. Now are you going to say the same thing to me? Nope. No need. You don't parrot his views and make congratulatory posts to garner his approval. Although when you two do agree, I think hell gets a little colder.
  12. That is also Juddling posting under my name! Check the screen first Juddling! Anyway, I had mentioned to him that the 'needing notice from the employer that she quit' is bull. She can withdraw the money even if she was still employed if she wanted to, albeit pay fees, etc.
  13. My wife quit her job last week (her last day being a payday Friday.) and now is trying to access her 401 K money. She called the 401K people this morning and she was told that they need authorization from her company that she no longer works for them. Her company said they automatically send that info out but it wouldn't be sent till August 3rd (the next payday). My thinking is that this is her money, she's earned it and even if she was still with the company and wanted to close the 401k she sould be able to right away not wait at least 2 weeks. I understand it isn't an instant thing and all but we were hoping to get the money (minus any penalty, taxes, etc.) to get her a car for her new job. Anyone know if her company is just being a pain in the ass or is that how the rules are set up. It just doesn't seem right to me but i wouldn't know where to check on them one way or the other. Any help is (as usual) appreciated.
  14. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Jul 23, 2007 -> 08:58 AM) Who said they weren't enamored with Washington? All I'm saying is, people in Congress Only when it comes to bringing dollars back to their state/district.
  15. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Jul 23, 2007 -> 10:42 AM) Nicely done. You put your nose any farther up his ass you will be able to tell us what he had for breakfast.
  16. QUOTE(Rex Kicka** @ Jul 23, 2007 -> 12:07 AM) Mitt Romney doesn't shoot dogs, he straps them to the roof of his car. And yet the reactions to the sign are thru the roof. Yeah, good one.
  17. Nuke, in your latest entry, did I read that correctly? Is there someone in your unit that potentially a traitor? Giving out info as to what you look for and don't look for That just doesn't sound right. If true, he needs to be in a world of hurt, with everything legally able to do.
  18. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jul 21, 2007 -> 02:48 PM) My Man Mitt! So Bush = Hitler is OK, a third grade level rhyme is wrong. OK, I get it. The sign was stupid, but once again in the world of over-reaction in the name of partisan politics, you act like he shot a dog or something. There has been worse stuff said about the sitting President by every Democratic candidate, but I guess that's ok.

QUOTE(DrunkBomber @ Jul 21, 2007 -> 03:45 PM) this one made me laugh 1. Save every Free Credit Card Offer you get, Put it in pile A 2. Save every Free Coupon You get, put that in pile B 3. Now open the credit card mail from pile A and find the Business Reply Mail Envelope. 4. Take the coupons from pile B and stuff them in the envelope you hold in your hand. 5. Drop the stuffed to the brim envelopes in your mail and walk away whistling. I have now received two phone calls from the credit card companies telling me that they received a stuffed envelope with coupons rather then my application. They informed me that it they are not pleased that they footed the bill for the crap I sent them. I reply with "It says Business Reply Mail" I'm suggesting coupons to you to ensure that your business is more successful. They promptly hang up on me. Now, I did this for about a month before it got boring, so I got an added idea! I added exactly 33 cents worth of pennies to the envelope so they paid EXTRA due to the weight. I got a call informing me about the money, I said it was a mistake and I demanded my change back. After yelling at the clerk and then to the supervisor they agreed to my demands and cut me a check for the money. I hold in my hand at this very moment a check from GTE Visa for exactly 33 cents. I have returned the envelopes blank many times to credit card companies. Sometimes I have also put things in them. Never money, though, and I haven't ever received a call to stop. But that is still funny.
  20. It was a stupid play all the way. Worse yet was walking the leadoff guy in the inning. The letting the NEXt guy, who you KNOW is gonna bunt, beat it out from a bad throw. Jose, Ozzie, you both suck right now.
  21. There are 'mystery' fould in every game. Refs making a call where there are 5 players between the ref and the supposed foul. They 'assume' alot, and thus are wrong alot. However this doesn't suprise me. I hope the league had a good vetting process for the refs and that this guy went to some extreme measures to get around it, or Stern may need some Rolaids.
  22. But John is an 'actor', not a fighter! This can't be!
  23. QUOTE(Rex Kicka** @ Jul 19, 2007 -> 09:28 PM) Kap: you're right. Before he was an actor, he was a Senator. Before he was a Senator, he was a lobbyist. For NARAL. (A Reproductive Rights advocacy group) Actually he was a consultant for a lawfirm that was a lobbyist for NARAL. He billed 14 hours time over his time at the firm. Not much lobbying going on there from Fred. Nice try.
  24. That was a good read. Good riddance to bad rubbish!
