  1. QUOTE (T R U @ May 24, 2011 -> 12:46 PM) ew. that is what i thought.
  2. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ May 24, 2011 -> 12:30 PM) That's the obvious reason, yes. It's the first one that any of us has ever seen. So, maybe it's like the first girlfriend/the first girl you nailed. You waited so long and someone finally came around and brought you to the promised land. You're so grateful and you'd do anything for her. Now it's years later and things are obviously not working out. You've both let yourselves go, and neither of you is even trying anymore. You are still nostalgic for the way things were, but it obviously isn't going to happen anymore. And even though you want to keep things going, you know the best thing to do is to move on. About right? Why do you have to make sense?
  3. I think it's more of a gesture to Garland and Uribe than it is the fans.
  4. QUOTE (ChrisLikesBaseball @ May 19, 2011 -> 09:18 AM) I was lucky enough to be at the game last night and I've gotta say that that was the best pitching performance I've ever been witness to. Peavy looked phenomenal. I did notice that he was pitching from the first base side of the pitching rubber, about as far that way as he can go. Does anyone know if this is a recent adjustment or has he done this for a while? I wonder if it had something to do with most of the Indians players being left handed against Peavy?
  5. I feel like I'm watching a 5 year old play with the white sox on MLB the show. That's exactly what it feels like.
  6. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ May 17, 2011 -> 03:22 PM) When combined with defensive stats and adjusted for position played, Pierre is actually the worst player in the bigs. Don't forget base stealing, and just knowledge on the bases all together
  7. I see how it's an incorrect move. Pierre should be replacing Marks spot on the bench, and Viciedo should be replacing Pierres spot in the OF.....Then Dallas can replace Pierre's spot on the bench.
  8. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 17, 2011 -> 02:29 PM) But he's also hitting .311 with a .901 OPS for the last 2 weeks. I'm talking about the beginning of the game....Dunn and Alexei have been decent over the course of a week or so later in games. I think you have a point though with Pierre leading off the game......
  9. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 17, 2011 -> 02:19 PM) It hasn't worked because the #1 guy in that part stinks. Quentin flat out hasn't hit for the past 10 days or so (.302 OPS for the last week). Dunn is hitting .300 (.958 OPS) over the last 2 weeks. actually over the last few games, alexei has grounded into a few double plays making anything Pierre does pointless, mostly because he can't steal 2nd anymore.
  10. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 17, 2011 -> 02:02 PM) Why? over the last few games Pierre, Ramirez, Dunn hasn't really worked. The sox have went 1-2-3 in the first...leading to PK and TCQ to come up with no one on....I would like to see Lillibridge, Ramirez, Q, PK, Dunn, Rios, Beckham, AJ, Morel.. It would be nice if the Sox could score first, I think that lineup gives them a better chance to score in the first.
  11. Wasn't Ozzie Smith called the wizard?
  12. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 11, 2011 -> 03:26 PM) Yeah, that was a good one by fathom. Speaking of awesome, who is that in your avy? All these sexy ass avys. In three days I will be sporting a Miranda Cosgrove avy. As she will be 18 and I will no longer feel like a predator. The Brooklyn Decker
  13. QUOTE (fathom @ May 11, 2011 -> 03:21 PM) So you're giving out free blowjobs on the concourse? Might want to change your name to BigSwallow awesome
  14. QUOTE (Kalapse @ May 9, 2011 -> 10:58 PM) Juan Pierre in 2010: 734 PA, 22 XBH Carlos Quentin in 2011: 146 PA, 23 XBH Carlos Quentin in 2008: 215 PA, 23 XBH Carlos has outdone himself LOL
  15. I think the rest of the team is starting to wear off on PK and Quentin...they've been in a slide recently.
  16. This is terrible. Sox pitchers have to throw shutouts just to have a chance to win...with the shaky bullpen, the chance to win almost becomes impossible.
  17. Definitely are a national league team with Pierre in the lineup...except he bats first. I know quite a few pitchers I would rather throw out their to hit....
  18. Nothing like the sox turning around penny's season.
  19. Also.....Dunn K's 27% of his plate appearances. And gets on base 38% of his plate appearances. That's what he does
  20. I would never spend half my night arguing over adum f***ing dunn. If u r a mlb fan....then u know who adam dunn is, no reason to make a thread about something that is GUARANTEED to happen at least once a week. Can't wait for "Dunn is DONE: volume 53". GMAFB...dunno what's funnier, the thread or the fact that I read most of it.
