  1. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Jan 21, 2009 -> 07:53 PM) This one might take too much work, but I was wondering if I could have Richard/Poreda in their respective windups with the caption “You Don’t Know CR/AP” at the bottow. Such an awesome inside joke needs to be captured in motion. i got something i can use...i'll get on it
  2. QUOTE (BobDylan @ Jan 22, 2009 -> 01:41 PM) It was nothing I hoped it would be, but I still enjoyed it for a good month. I haven't played since the "patch" but I'd have probably kept playing if they had the party and quick match option working. It was a b**** playing with friends and keeping rooms going for your clan. Also, the initial release was a joke for clan support. No clan-tag's in game, no good way to set up clan battles other than GB (which I hate) and then all the missing features they said would be in the game. The most irritating thing, probably, was all the features in the game manual which were nowhere to be found in the game. Hell, the game menu was different in the manual than it was actually playing it. I think the game was rushed out by Sony because they didn't want it to go unnoticed next to Resistance 2 (a game that didn't sell very well either) and the game ultimately suffered not just short term, but for good. All that said, I think once you look past all the network issues and false promises, it's still a decent shooter. But for a game that is online only, there are no excuses for how much they f***ed up. I have never seen a game manual that was different than the actual game. Makes you wonder that a game like Resistance 2, which is made as a single player game, has an awesome multiplayer with basically no lag....and Socom Confrontation was multiplayer only and had TOO many problems at launch. Slant 6 f***ed up big time, and Zipper f***ed up more letting Slant 6 control the next-gen version of it's best franchise.
  3. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Jan 21, 2009 -> 08:45 PM) Because I've already played it and was incredibly disappointed in the online play, supposedly the recent updates and server fixes have improved the online play but I'm wondering by how much. i was HUGE into socom 2. Then three i was about half interested....and confrontations problems just blew me off the franchise. Until they can make a must have addicting shooter again, I'll continue to pass on it. I have Confrontation....and last I played it was fixed, I just can't come to play it...just no interest for me.
  4. QUOTE (VenomSox @ Jan 18, 2009 -> 05:32 PM) I'll take a Quentin sig if you don't mind.
  5. QUOTE (VenomSox @ Jan 18, 2009 -> 05:32 PM) I'll take a Quentin sig if you don't mind. i'll get started on that...
  6. QUOTE (Leonard Zelig @ Jan 19, 2009 -> 11:48 PM) Yeah, but 30 lbs. is quite a bit more than the casual pot dealer has laying around his home. You don't sell 30 lbs. by the quarter or even by the ounce. You are talking about the guy who supplies the guy who supplies the weed man. I don't know you so I'm not saying you don't know that guy, but moving 30 lbs. without already having a buyer would be very difficult for most people. Go to a big campus on a couple weekends and jump into a few parties. I bet it wouldn't take long.
  7. My dog died on my birthday (Oct 10) last year and it was pretty hard for a few days. I watched Marley and Me.....brought back a lot of memories. I loved the movie.
  8. QUOTE (Downtown518 @ Jan 19, 2009 -> 05:21 PM) I was in CC over the weekend and there were no real deals on anything I was interested in (52in LCD and Blu-Ray), these items were pretty much normal price, not that I was expecting anything different. I am curious about people's opinions of the extended warranties. I have purchased them and used them, but have also gone without and not needed one. Now I am debating about purchasing one when I drop $2-3k on a TV.... I was there yesterday, mostly just 10 percent off. A lot of the better deals were stuff I don't need or already have. Gotta couple dvds.
  9. It's not about me wanting to keep stuff....It's about me being too lazy to gather it all up, go through it, then sell/give it away.
  10. QUOTE (Jimbo's Drinker @ Jan 19, 2009 -> 12:46 PM) Was that a PG13? I also cant stand Anna Faris, she makes me wanna yark. Actress that seems to be the same character in all her films....Annoying. She was decent in Waiting...
  11. Email from Hugh Jackman That's the reason for reshoots. Q&A With Liev Schreiber If it is rated R, I got high hopes for this one.
  12. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Jan 18, 2009 -> 11:48 AM) About a month ago, I decided I was going to see all of the movies that are getting consideration for Best Picture and Best Actor. The only exception is Revolutionary Road. The preview did absolutely nothing for me, and it looked extremely boring. I've done the same, but add milk to that
  13. new X-Men Origins:Wolverine pic.
  14. QUOTE (BobDylan @ Jan 17, 2009 -> 09:16 AM) Wow, I'm glad you posted that. It looks pretty inventive. I've always wanted to see a FPS RPG (I guess Fallout 3 is this, but it's a pretty s***ty FPS.) The end of that demo looks like it is showing that there are bosses, which is great. It looks like there are more things to upgrade than the already incredible 600,000 deep weapon selection, like armor, shields and ammo which'll give it that classic RPG feel. And it's made by 2K Games, so I have even more hope for it. I just hope all those weapons are actually useful instead of just a show-off feature and that it has a good story, an abundance of rewarding sidequests and a world that is worth exploring for more than just the graphics. I'm glad there is a rpg/story driven online co-op. Always wanted to play with a couple friends. And I'm not interested in MMORPG...just too much time in those....with this game you just play the story, with i bet more than a few side quests...this is one of the few games I'm looking forward to this year.
  15. QUOTE (Leonard Zelig @ Jan 16, 2009 -> 05:36 PM) Wow, that would be interesting. It's like a story out of a movie. On one hand you could be set up for a while, but on the other, some goons may come looking for their s***. There's a movie coming out called Next Day Air.....it's about a package of drugs being misdelivered. Movie kinda like Friday or Next Friday.
  16. Just got done watching RocknRolla. Seems like Ritchie went back to his roots....it was definitely back in the style of Lock, Stock.. and Snatch. I loved it 4/5.
  17. Anybody listen to Andy Mckee? I downloaded his CDs...guy's pretty good. One of the best guitar players I've heard.
  18. My back room is nothing but windows...and I have it cordoned off. Stepped back there a little bit ago, should have wore a coat gloves and cap, it's like walking into a freezer.
  19. QUOTE (knightni @ Jan 15, 2009 -> 07:56 PM) You were ahead of the curve then, my friend. Most ten year olds are finding stupider and stupider ways of injuring themselves. thanks to shows like jackass, and the internet
  20. did not know they were on scifi...never really watch that channel
  21. QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ Jan 15, 2009 -> 03:54 PM) They really should do that with every episode in the fall prior to the winter actual episodes. There is so much crap in that show that you miss, it is amazing to go back and watch previous seasons, Libby owning Desmond's boat for instance. Desmond and Jack running together, etc. Crazy. with the way television does their shows schedules now, there are hardly any reruns aired anymore unless they're aired on another station like Law and Order, or House. I'd appreciate some reruns, as long as they're the good to great episodes.
  22. Pretty cool vid i saw on youtube couple days ago.
  23. If you're a pro athlete how do you let yourself go to weigh so much....I don't get Colon. Unless you're a Tackle or Weight lifter there's no point
  24. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jan 15, 2009 -> 03:31 PM) Excellent and underappreciated movie. agreed.
