  1. Wasn't one of the main reasons Keuchel signed with the Sox was because Grandal signed as the catcher? I'd think he'd prefer Yas...how many games have each caught for him?
  2. Such a tease to only be able to watch him play 60 games his rookie year...
  3. Marshall was an underrated part of the game...he was throwing straight filth.
  4. I am, this innings been fun, boring before that though. Watching the Angel's players do well mostly...
  5. Brugman absolutely crushed that homerun into the party deck in right field
  6. Brugman? Was trying to figure out who was out in left
  7. So started recording at Eloy who flied out deep, cut that video and took one of Robert...here ya go.
  8. Some people can't see the forest for the trees, man. This is a good deal. Good or bad, the Sox aren't burned by it at all...people need to put there worries in other places beyond this.
  9. The film making aspect IMO is why it's such a great movie...I believe the narrative had to be told the way it was in order to have the tension hold in a cohesive fashion. The guys in the video along with Quentin don't believe it would've worked in a more linear fashion.
  10. Thinking about heading to AZ for spring training at the end of February. Looks like Indians, Rangers, and Angels. Hit the Home game Friday against he Indians, and probably skip the Rangers game for another game on Saturday. Hit up the Angels on Sunday then head back home to SD. Thinking of staying in Tempe area, where the Angels game would be...any suggestions on other stadiums to see on Saturday, or any suggestions on other things to do while not catching a game?
  11. saw this, what was Manchester banned and fined for? Don't know the story.
  12. I'm shaky on Mexico City...that place is a higher elevation than Denver. Balls will fly further, and pitches will break even less. 2000 foot difference in elevation.
  13. Same feeling, sort of. I'd take Puig in a heart beat, only as a 4th outfielder/platoon rightfielder at a modest price(easily cut with becoming a problem). I believe if the Sox were to get him, he'd possibly change for the better? He'd be on the same team as Grandal(who vouches for the guy), Moncada, Robert, and Abreu as fellow Cubans. I think he would be put in line on this team, and I think the main reason for that is those four players...not to mention Ricky as a hispanic manager that has good connection to his players. I think the fact that he is getting empty/no offers at the moment is showing him what's up... First sign of trouble cut bait...and the guy has trouble ever getting a starting gig on a Major League team.
  14. Had to go back, but 2017 had 3 teams vying for that 7th spot in the AL at 80-82...so you're right, that could happen.
  15. What are the 2 expansion cities? Montreal/Charlotte for east? Vegas/Portland for west? Memphis/Nashville as a central? What other cities can provide a MLB team? The examples given are the supposed cities that are sought after for an expansion team. Who goes to NL who goes to AL, how are the divisions grouped, are there divisions at all? It is fun to speculate, but how realistic and likely is this all to happen? I'll hang up and take my answer off the air...
  16. Best 2 out of three could benefit a team that has only 1 or 2 starting pitchers and nothing else. Would mix up the playoffs, it would also add more teams going for it around the trade deadline...More teams would be fighting for the available players. I think it could be something to try. If it doesn't work out just go back. Interleague succeeded for a while, Wild card has been a success, DH is a giant mixed bag, Allstar game matters was a mistake. You don't know until you try it...I'm for at least trying it, see how it goes.
  17. AL Astros Yankees Twins Athletics Rays Indians Redsox NL Dodgers Braves Nationals Cardinals Brewers Mets Diamondbacks There's the standings of the top 7 teams in each league... So The Yankees play the Redsox best 2 of 3, Twins vs Indians, and Rays play the Athletics The Braves play the Diamondbacks, Nationals the Mets, and Cards play the Brewers. Those would be some awesome divisional fights for a 2 out of 3 series IMO.
  18. Doesn't the shredder take in more than last season? If TA were to have similar years this year and next to 2019 then he probably makes top 10, maybe top 5, no?
  19. Curious, would it be smart for the Redsox to jump ahead on this and let him go? Start their search for a new manager early enough? This Houston investigation took a couple months, they might not have that time frame for new blood, and would probably resort to an interim manager with no prep.
  20. I'm thinking of this as a Scott Podsednik type move, where it allows you to go buy higher quality at 2nd/3rd/pitching. Say the Sox sign Rendon, and move Moncada back to 2nd...no need to worry about a lefty OF with Mazara. All there would be is pitching.
  21. Hopefully we'll be saying the same with Eloy in a couple years
  22. Is that because he doesn't foul off shit pitches to work counts, he actually gets hits off them?
  23. So do the Sox keep Moncada in the cleanup spot? I believe he's good there as a lefty, maybe try him there as a righty see how it works.
