The team we're not hearing about is Baltimore. They have Julio, Hairston and Bedard they could give up for Hudson.

Borchard will be on the roster, so take out the OF and whatever he makes. That leaves 11 mil for SP and MI Rumor has it Hairston jr. will be non-tendered. Likewise Alex Cora. Placido Polanco is better, but he's going to cost more too. You could sign Odalis Perez/Polanco or you could sign Clement/Alex Cora. Either of those can be done without trading anybody.

If Moronotti thinks something is bad, just do it.

However, the Sox did have the best pitching staff in the AL Central and the guy who did the simulations said if Konerko and Crede up their numbers we could easily win the division. That said, it will be a prayer vigil anytime the bullpen has to hold a close lead.
