  1. I think they are well within their right. It's a private establishment. Nothing to see here.
  2. QUOTE (bmags @ Jul 13, 2011 -> 11:38 AM) y2hh what do you think of airbnb? Are you talking about the .com where you seek cheap places to stay? The idea seems sort of faddish/hyper modern to me...and potentially dangerous. I'm not sure what I think of services like this, it's basically a more evolved version of CouchSurfing, which is/was "free", and I put that free in quotations because nothings free. I've read some oddball stories of people that have done this, and "paid" in other ways. I can't speak for everyone on this, but I personally wouldn't use a service like this, because frankly the idea scares me. The risk/potential for meeting some wackado would weigh too heavily on my mind and I'd never get any sleep. If I were to ever do something like this I'd probably roam the countryside camping on my own...I know I should trust people more, but I don't...and the world around me gives me plenty of reasons why.
  3. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jul 13, 2011 -> 07:18 AM) Just some random troll that doesn't have to read and agree to the filibuster rules. Personally, I think it's you. The bestiality thing...it all just adds up.
  4. QUOTE (pittshoganerkoff @ Jul 12, 2011 -> 02:39 PM) What if we got Hawk in on this conversation? What would his views be? (Hawk accent in effect) Well, I'll tell ya Stone Pony...back when I was playin' with the Carbines...(very long pause)...when we'd come up to bat...a pitcher wouldn't throw outside and only outside...cuz they knew we'd just start leanin' over the plate. Guys didn't just stand in one place in that batters box like they do today...it's a game of adjustments, Pony... Adjustments. Look at Paulie...constantly making adjustments...and that's how you get a 14,000 sq foot house in Scottsdale...adjustments.
  5. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jul 12, 2011 -> 02:33 PM) I wonder what he'd tell his friends if he got pummeled by a hippie vegan. You had your chance last time...and you turned out to be a peace loving hippy liberal, instead!
  6. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jul 12, 2011 -> 02:37 PM) We took this from a racist filled soapbox thread to the most entertaining currently active thread on the forum. JOE.....CREE...EEEDY...YES!!!! YOU CAN PUT IT ON THE BOOOOOOOOARRRRRRDDDDDDD....YEESSSSS!
  7. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 12, 2011 -> 02:33 PM) YOU GOTTA BE BLEEPIN ME? If you're gonna do this, you have to do it right... It's more like.. YOU GOTTA BE...(LONG PAUSE) BLEEPIN' ME!#@$!@ DAG GUB IT...HE WAS SAFE...YOU HAVE GOTTA BE BLEEPIN' ME. THESE UMPIRES NEED TO KEEP THEMSELVES OUT OF THE SPOTLIGHT...THIS IS JUST BS! (Replay shows he was clearly out) (Extended period of silence) DAG GUB IT...OH WELL, PAULIE'S GONNA HAVE TO BOW HIS NECK!
  8. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jul 12, 2011 -> 02:29 PM) You can't even spell the last name correctly. I'm imitating Hawkaroo on a forum...you're not SUPPOSED too spell things correctly...it's all about the pronunciation!
  9. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jul 12, 2011 -> 02:28 PM) WHOAH!?!? Weird Come on BS, GOOD 2 STRIKE HITTER! Stop stealing my lines now! ^^ What just happened up here had me laughing out loud at work.
  10. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 12, 2011 -> 02:27 PM) We got another email here... We've just received 100$ on behalf of Ursla Nellias...Ursla Nellias......yyyyyeeessssss!
  11. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jul 12, 2011 -> 02:25 PM) You better bow ur neck!
  12. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 12, 2011 -> 02:23 PM) Or as Hawk would say 50 feet short of the warning track... "STRETCH!" GO ON, GET BACK THERE...HE LOOKS UP... OHHHH... DAG GUB IT!
  13. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 12, 2011 -> 02:18 PM) Ok, I'll make a deal. Gay pride parades will go away when any public display of extreme heterosexuality goes away. For example, no one here can go out in public with their kids and spouse any more. That's flamboyantly stressing one's heterosexuality way too much for any reasonable standard. I mean, all it's doing is telling me about your sex life, and I don't want to know about what people do with their wives. Rather than tossing out apples vs oranges, how about we toss out oranges vs oranges. I have no problem with a gay/lesbian couple walking together in a park, and if they have a child, so be it. Just as I have no problem with a straight couple walking together in a park with a child. ^^ Apples | Apples ^^ I do have a problem with gay pride parades...just as I'd have a problem with straight pride parades if they existed. Just as I have a problem with douchebag frat boys prancing around like asshats, I dislike when I have to see weirdo flamboyant gays doing the same. ^^ Apples | Apples ^^

  15. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jul 12, 2011 -> 02:10 PM) I will seriously put a hurting on you next time we cross paths. I don't know, they just keep coming to me! It's like facing Billy Koch! Go ahead, throw your next FAKE 100mph fastball with the juiced Kenny Williams gun.
  16. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 12, 2011 -> 01:32 PM) Depends on how you define "regress". We don't hear about the new e-commerce next amazon.com on the news every night like we did around 1998, but ecommerce has come a long way since then. Regress in that people will still use it, but far less than they do now. I'm not in the norm, as I will only login to my Facebook account a few times a week, and rarely do I post anything. As a matter of fact, I just logged on to check the last time I posted something, and it was July 3rd. Most people check Facebook daily, and partake in multiple posts all day long, because that's all they do...like Lostfan and BS. BOOM GOES THE DYNAMITE!@#$@!
  17. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 12, 2011 -> 01:53 PM) Have you ever been to a college party? There are plenty of straight men who are incredibly flamboyant to the point of being extremely annoying and obnoxious. But that's ok, because they're straight. Actually, it's not ok, which is why we call guys like that frat boy douchebags. I'm not sure who told you it's ok because they're straight, but it's not...and never has been. Just because HIS crew thinks it's ok, doesn't mean the rest of us think it's ok. The same way a very flamboyant homosexual's crew probably doesn't mind the extreme flamboyance.
  18. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jul 12, 2011 -> 11:09 AM) Sister Lakes, just outside of Dowagiac. Hahaha, are you kidding? My brothers wife, her family owns two small houses on Little Crooked (I think it's the little one anyway, but it's one of the crooked lakes), I go up there a few times a year. Well, I think it was two, they tore one down and are remodeling the other one now, but it's on two lots.
  19. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jul 12, 2011 -> 10:41 AM) So at my house in michigan (SW) we have basically zero cell service outside of some EDGE ATT connectivity. Its alarmingly relaxing when you are "off the grid." That won't last. I roam the countryside camping every year and I see cell coverage improvements every year...it's just a matter of years before you have coverage no matter where you are in the US.
  20. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jul 12, 2011 -> 10:36 AM) I wonder if the whole social media thing will die down a bit after people become sick from the information overload. It will regress after people get used to it being around, like anything else.
  21. This thread has jumped the shark.
  22. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Jul 12, 2011 -> 10:22 AM) I think it's pretty clear, based on his "I'd be sad for the rest of my life and would prefer they keep it in the closet out of 'respect for elders'" that by "normal" he means "good" or "right" See, the one time I choose to try to see the best in people, you beat it out of me and force me to see the negative/bad, instead.
  23. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Jul 12, 2011 -> 10:20 AM) You'll have to demonstrate an instance of me being bigoted or I'll have to ask you to retract that claim. Yes, I often aggressively argue my opinions, that doesn't mean I view all others as illegitimate or bigoted. I butt heads frequently with you, Y2HH, and ss2k5 but I don't think I've called you outright bigots--because you don't post the terrible stuff FlySox is. Yeah, everyone has opinions. But not all opinions are valid or worthwhile. Stormfront's got a lot of people with a lot of opinions and they're all terrible people for holding those opinions. This is just a lame cop-out that fails to distinguish between well-supported and well-reasoned opinions and s***ty ones like "I'd be sad for the rest of my life if my kid was gay and I'd rather he lead a miserable lie of a life so that I could be happier" That's because you haven't...and while we disagree at times, I don't believe you think of me as a bigot anyway.
  24. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jul 12, 2011 -> 10:17 AM) You got that wrong. It was excerpts from my upcoming autobiography about being a "John". Oh, well...it was quite good then!
  25. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 12, 2011 -> 10:18 AM) Attempting to bypass the Soxtalk Swear Filter is an explicit violation of site rules. Sorry I didn't mean to do that. I thought I was self censoring it.
