QUOTE (TheBigHurt @ Apr 7, 2011 -> 03:55 PM) Jackson! : Pierre! : Alexei! : Santos! : Lot of positives to start this season... with the bullpen overall was one of them. Let's hope it gets better! You forgot: Greg Walker! Sorry, couldn't resist. I just noticed you live by me, too...I live in Clearing.

QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Apr 7, 2011 -> 03:51 PM) INSULT THREADS ARE 2-0!!! Haha. So should BigHurt and I continue insulting each other so long as we keep winning when we do? -
QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Apr 7, 2011 -> 03:48 PM) If it is, he'll get himself a Cy Young. AJ did pretty much everything he could to lose this game. He's going to be, by far, the weakest link in the lineup this year. I expect everyone else to have a good year offensively, but he'll be the guy we'll be wishing weren't up in a big situation. Not sure about that...I think AJ will rebound.

QUOTE (TheBigHurt @ Apr 7, 2011 -> 03:42 PM) Are you gonna post that every time the Sox do well offensively? What about every time they don't? Making comments like these is ignorant and show bias... And bias always shows. Anyways, good win. I can't believe TB and Boston are both without a win, lol. Oh, and believe me, I've been waiting for a game the last few days where we get shut out or only score 1 run, so I could make the same post. -

QUOTE (TheBigHurt @ Apr 7, 2011 -> 03:42 PM) You're really gonna post that every time the Sox do well offensively? What about every time they don't? Then doesn't something have to be said there if you're gonna make silly comments like these? Bias always shows. Anyways, good win. I can't believe TB and Boston are both without a win, lol. No, it's just the fact that we score 5+ runs per game, yet you remain in denial. But your right, it's me that's biased. If the Sox were scoring 1 run per game, you'd have a point. Ergo, you have no point. -

QUOTE (WinorDie88 @ Apr 7, 2011 -> 03:39 PM) I think we were lucky. That was a hard hit double play ball. It's harder to turn double plays on softly hit balls... -

QUOTE (sin city sox fan @ Apr 7, 2011 -> 03:29 PM) Correction: Greg Walker either needs to teach these guys to bunt or hit the road. Bunting is an essential skill for winning baseball. At the major league level, they should already know how to bunt...they're just all bad at it, as are most modern players. They stab at the ball, repeatedly, and you learn in little league and beyond that you don't stab, you catch the ball with the bat...it's really not hard, and it's not something you need "taught" to you at that level of play. -

Ozzie needs to just stop bunting unless it's with Pierre, since nobody else on this team can do it. -
It's pretty clear now that the Earth hates Japan.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 7, 2011 -> 07:43 AM) They'd have to leave them on 4x as long to make up for the power consumption difference. 8x once you get to LED's. Just don't break them.

QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Apr 6, 2011 -> 06:05 PM) Dunn saying he could've pinch hit today and wants to play tomorrow . Yea...no. Maybe tomorrow, but the idea of him playing today would have been bad.

QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Apr 6, 2011 -> 05:49 PM) Sale started throwing the FB over 93 today, which was nice to see. I think he was at 95-96 once or twice even.

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Apr 6, 2011 -> 05:44 PM) I do not underestimate democrat incompetence or republican stupidity. What was it Lewis Black said, the democrats were a party of no ideas and the republicans were a party of bad ideas?

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 6, 2011 -> 05:44 PM) It was not a lack of talent that doomed him. It was entirely mental. He was also a colossal douche in real life, and thought he really was the next Griffey Jr. -

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 6, 2011 -> 05:23 PM) I'd much rather have him start off as a slap hitter making a lot of contact and grow into the power than start off with a lot of power but little contact. If he's making contact, the ball will fly off his bat soon enough. I agree with this, worst thing to see is a rookie trying to hit for power, become a dead pull hitter and fail at the major league level. -
QUOTE (Iwritecode @ Apr 6, 2011 -> 09:16 AM) $8.30/hour is better than $0/hour that all the people that have fallen off unemployment are making. Amen.

Despite the ugly performance over the past few days, hopefully they get over the concentration issues they seem to be having, and tighten things up. In the mean time, lets take a deep breath, and be happy we escaped that road trip with a 3-2 record before returning home. I would have liked to sweep KC, but seeing as how hot (lucky) they've been, I'll take the split.

Winning ugly...again?!
