Mitchell's (Puffers) is better, anyway. I've been hearing about this Jimbo's thing for more than a few years now, and there is more too it than meets the eye. That said, even if it turns out that the land owner is doing it just because of the recent rise in popularity of the Sox/the surrounding area, too bad...it's their land. I know if I owned something and could make some big cash on it during what could be a limited window of opportunity, I'd do it. If Jimbo's was so concerned about this for X number of years, prehaps they should have looked to buy/move or sign a longer term lease. I'm sure if things went the opposite, like say, the neighborhood completely fell apart -- Jimbo would have picked up his ball and left -- and used the excuse that it was only a one year lease and he fufilled his end of the agreement. Two way street even if we only want to look one way.

Lidge took a blow to his confidence in the ALCS versus Poo-holes. Lidge then took an earth shattering death blow to his confidence in the World Series...and he hasn't recovered from it. All he keeps thinking is, man...if Pods can homer off of me in the biggest game of my career, ANYONE can. He's done in Houston, at this point the only thing that can resurrect him is another team/change of scenery/pitching coach.

Jose needed that game to get confidence in himself again...hopefully, mission accomplished. Oh, and as for the Pods naysayers. Told ya so...so far, anyway. Even # years = Pods Odd # years = Pods

This game is huge for Contreras. Ozzie has to watch it that he doesn't leave him in there long enough to melt down -- let him get through 6 or 6.1 innings or so and yank him with a megaton of confidence building...this thing needs to be handled with kid gloves.

Since the Sox World Series win in 05, AJ has gained quite a overseas reputation. He's almost always had such a reputation here, but on the national stage, the entire world now understands why.

I like Hawk, he's everything an announcer SHOULD be. He works for the Sox. He loves the Sox. He's a complete homer for the Sox. Oh, and he's in the unique position to announce for the Sox. He SHOULD be biased. And why?! Because he's OUR announcer, not theirs. If that were me, I'd be JUST as bad. I'm not there to entertain or announce for the opposing team -- they have their own radio announcers -- I'm there for THIS team. F*C* the other team right in the A**. My best friend is a Cubs fan, and he agrees, being one of the few Cubs fans that likes Hawk...he believes Hawk does exactly as he should, with being biased toward the Sox, and he wishes the Cubs announcers would do the same. Oh, and if you don't like it, buy the MLB game package online and you can listen to the other teams radio or tv announcers all you want. I'll keep Hawk & DJ on my TV. kthnxbai
