Every year KW makes big trades and I hear words like "mortgages the future by selling out the farm", being tossed around...yet we always seem to have more prospects...who we RARELY ever see in the majors. I thought we sold the farm in 2001. And in 2002. I thought we mortgaged the future in 2003. Again in 2004? Wait...now it's 2005 and we have a REAL team, balanced, can pitch, etc... Prospects = overrated. Trade them all. Mortgaging the future...listen to yourselves...WHAT FUTURE...WE HAVEN'T WON ANYTHING SINCE 1917!#$!#@#! If it's more of THAT future you speak of, you can take the future and stick it!

Yes, I don't know why anybody who knows about the AJ/Tomko history would even post such a rumor. This is so very very bad.

Moronotti thinks the White Sox have a legit chance to win it all...so people haven't been talking bad about him. ;D QUOTE(ChiSoxyGirl @ Jul 26, 2005 -> 11:43 AM) Speaking of idiots, I haven't heard anything about Moronatti in ages (I'm not complaining). Is he still around?
-
In either case, why does it matter...fact is, the idiot comes here and talks about the White Sox nonstop...
-
He is...I had no idea who he even was aside from referring to him as "that jackass I once heard on the radio". He's a dumbass, just listen to him...he's your typical know it all "expert" who is almost always wrong. QUOTE(KevHead0881 @ Jul 26, 2005 -> 11:32 AM) I think he's overestimating his celebrity. I doubt anyone would know who the f*** he is.
-
He will probably only take pre-screened calls that agree with him, and if he doesn't, and hes a specialist at this, he will cut a person off, call them names and act like his smartass opinion is automatically correct and theirs is wrong. He's a f***tard assface dumbass mfing b****. QUOTE(Yoda @ Jul 26, 2005 -> 11:15 AM) I am hearing his bulls*** right now. He says he will be taking calls shortly. Someone should call and go crazy on him.

This guys is the ultimate tard face.

Badmouthing Cellular and the Whitesox
Y2HH replied to Steve Bartman's my idol's topic in Pale Hose Talk
The fact he thought we have nothing but hot dogs and pizza shows his total ignorance. I'm not sure why anyone even cares what this ass clown thinks of our park anyway. I hope he never returns to it. Ever. -
Official NFL Season Predictions
Y2HH replied to White Sox Josh's topic in A and J's Olde Tyme Sports Pub
Every year it's the same thing: NFC North Predictions: The Packers enter the season in total shambles, are picked to be the worst team in the NFC North, and somehow [brett Favre] find ways to win. Every year the Bears will be NFC North Champions [this is the same exact blind Bear fan prediction EVERY season] and every year they aren't anything but a dismal failure due to injury, lightning, genies...or whatever other excuse [sans the 2001 luckfest]. Every year the Vikings are the new kings of the division...and ever year they slump in the 2nd half and fail miserably. Every year the Lions have the best receivers to ever walk the face of the earth...and every year they have no QB [Harrington is not the answer] to throw the ball to them. Until someone removes the Green Bay Favres from the #1 slot in the NFC North, I will continue to pick them to win the division. And more often than not, they do. Remember, the Packers were winning divisions with Darren Sharper on the sidelines with a severly sprained knee, before Javon Walker [or any other real receivers were on the team], and before Grady Jackson was ever in a Packer uniform. Their O-Line is always strong, no matter who on the O-line is on IR...as a few of them missed most of the past few seasons [including their ProBowl center last year], yet it was still a dominant line no matter which mix of them played or didn't play. As long as Favre feels like winning, he does. Although he's good enough to carry them through the regular season, the glaring weaknesses of the team show every year in the playoffs. The Bears will be lucky to be an more than a .500 team. The Lions...the same as the Bears. The Vikings are always a dark horse that fails in the 2nd half. I pick Green Bay...again. -
What's not funny about that is Cub fans seem to think they have some sort of kinship to Red Sox fans, when in reality...Red Sox fans can care less about Cub fans. I find it funny how Cub fans think they are one in the same...dumbasses. QUOTE(RibbieRubarb @ Jul 25, 2005 -> 09:36 AM) I'm sure they were all Cub fans dressed as Red Sox fans... Sneaky bastards
-
Just like any team, the Red Sox have their fair share of obnoxious fans...so does this team, and I've met a few of them. :| The arrogance displayed the Red Sawks fans since their World Series victory has been a big over the top, but it's understandable...they've won like 300 superbowl and now a world series over the past few years. If Chicago could only be so lucky. Boston has won enough...time for them to go into a 100 year drought now, share that feeling of winning with some other fans now...dirty rotten Bostonites.
-
What's funny about that is I worried about the Red Sox until we actually played them...they should hope they don't play us in the playoffs, because I don't see them beating us. Fact is, we beat them 3 out of the 4 games...we had to GIVE them one. So...in saying that, this "writer" needs to realize their team only beat our team ONE time even though they escaped with 2 wins. That only happens once. Next time we won't be handing you a free win. They have no real pitching, we do...and with all their bats, they would have only won 1 single game against us had we not made 3 errors in the first game. So that Boston writer can chew on that, and phark my caa' across the street from the bhar. He says they have no reason to worry? Hah. Reverse that. After playing the fearsome Red Sox...I think we have no reason to worry.

I'm gonna have to disagree there. Marte has done it for years...before this season Cotts sucked, bad...whatever he changed, let's hope the majors don't notice it and make an adjustment... QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jul 24, 2005 -> 03:12 PM) Neal >>>> Marte
-
And I would do that in a second, no doubt about it. Essentially that's trade Marte, a great setup man and a prospect in Bmac (and I don't care what anyone thinks about Bmac, he's hit or miss right now), and in return we get an ELITE closer who can hit 100mph from the left side. Yes, yes and yes again. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jul 24, 2005 -> 11:06 AM) No, your dealing Bmac and Marte for Wagner essentially. Burnett is just the chip you use to get Wagner. But since to get Burnett you gave up those two, its essentially Marte and Bmac for Wagner.
-
I'd take this deal, Burnett has playoff/world series experience which is a big plus, we can move Duque into the #5 slot until the playoffs...this deal opens up a ton of opportunity for us at the cost of Marte, and as good as Marte has been, I'm not sure I'm confident in putting a two pitch pitcher in a must win playoff game.
-
Neither. I think the Yankees or Boston win the WC. But that's just me.
-
El Duque is due for a solid start. Hopefully he begins his turnaround tonight.
-
Exactly. The Cubs did not give up on Garland, they simply knew he was an "experiment" that would take YEARS--not a few years, but many years--to develop into what he's capable of becoming. They weren't willing to wait that long, we were. Thank god. QUOTE(YASNY @ Jul 23, 2005 -> 02:56 AM) Garland had only been drafted the previous year. The Cubs hardly gave up on him. Karchner had some decent numbers when we traded him, they were just crappy after the trade. The Cubs were pretty desperate for bullpen help at the time they made that deal.
-
Just remember that these same hot girls you guys fawn over will not be so very hot 15 years later (as most women do not age well, especially the younger hot ones), and then you'll have to put up with their @#$! without the added benefit of them being hot anymore. You'll have one thing to say to yourself...WTF. And yes, I know...15 years sounds like a long time. I used to think that, too. Just wait a few.
-
This is why Timo is the White Sox MVP. Timo is immune to all forms of poison, disease, sickeness and/or death.
-
Excellent job by Garland. Excellent job by Buehrle was wasted yesterday, unfortunatly.
-
I wouldn't mind seeing Jenks in the 8th...hand it to Politte in the 9th (or Hermanson)! QUOTE(Soxpranos @ Jul 22, 2005 -> 08:01 PM) Good test for Jenks , lets see it!
-
Now we need to tie it down...we can't let up with this Red Sox offense.
