  1. You see, I disagree about Dye...we KNOW Dye is good, he's just trying to overdo it right now. I don't know what his issues are right now, but we need Dye.
  2. I take back everything negative I said. Dye will rescue us now.
  3. No, if Dye hits for the A's he'd hit a slam. Dye always destroyed us.
  4. Who didn't see this coming. Thank God this road trip is over, the Sox have obviously lost their magic.
  5. Now is when we botch easy plays and let the leadoff walk score. And I knew the leadoff walk was coming when Marte came in. WTF.
  6. Man WTF with this offense. It's like they are trying to suck. The sky is falling. I wish I could feel otherwise, sitting pretty at 16-5 but what the hell...how do you hit a guy with a 0.33 era and not hit a guy with a 7+ era.
  7. Yeah, I know, the Vikings are going to win the division every year. At least thats what is predicted...every year. They added a ton of free agents, egos like Darren Sharper from the Packers, who talked louder than he tackled (believe me, I had to watch his overrated ass for the past few years get progressivly worse), and they still have the worst coaching staff in the NFL. The Vikings will choke, as they always choke. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Apr 25, 2005 -> 02:30 PM) To throw a little trash into the pile... Does the Bears-Packers argument even matter? The Vikings are going to win the division anyways
  8. The Rangers did. And Dye said, sorry but I already agreed verbally with the Sox, so I'm going to sign that contract, and sign it he did. It was refreshing to see a guy keep his word. QUOTE(UofIChiSox @ Apr 25, 2005 -> 01:42 PM) I don't follow the Sox or this board as much during the offseason as I do now, who offered him more money and what's the story with the whole situation?
  9. I have the DJ catchphrase translation program, and I ran his catchphrases through to see what they meant: Uh-oh! - That's trouble! Uh-oh, bye bye! - You can put it on the booooard...yes! Uh-oh, wow! - He gawn! Uh-oh! Get foul...it will! Uh-oh, yes! Stay fair...it will! Uh-oh! That's a hang wiffem' Uh-oh! Ducksnort! Uh-oh! HOLY CRAP THE BALL WAS FOULED BACK AND ITS GOING TO HIT ME RIGHT IN THE FACE! *CLUNCK* Hawk: Wow DJ, there are times you should just duck rather than calling the play by play...anyway, DJ GONE!
  10. Yea I know. All good things must end. At least the Packers got away with one in the draft, getting Aaron Rodger with the 24th pick. That is like a freebie pick, if he fails, who cares...it was only a wasted 24th pick in the first round, better than taking him with a top 5 pick and having him fail. The Packers got lucky with that one because with Brett around, you don't get high draft choices ever. QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ Apr 25, 2005 -> 12:37 PM) Enjoy him while you got him...his time is almost over...Thank God!
  11. Yea, that's what Brett Favre does, he makes excuses. He's only a first ballot HOF'er with 3 MVP's and a superbowl ring. Stop being stupid. He has nothing left to proove in the NFL, therefore he need not make excuses. After giving the Packers winning seasons since he started and taking them to the superbowl twice and winning once, not to mention the countless playoff appearances and the nearly endless smackdowns he put on the Bears, Brett can do whatever he wants until he decides he wants to retire.
  12. Also guilty of this charge. I'm a lifelong White Sox fan (born in Bridgeport) and a Packer fan...although I didn't get bit by the footbal-fan bug until later in life, and the Packers became my team more because of Brett than anything else. :finger Go Pack Go! Go Sox!
  13. One small detail a lot of people who spew freedom and constitutional rights in this country seem to miss. Freedom and Anarchy are two different things. Freedom gives you the right to live as a law abiding citizen under the flag of a countries protection. It does not give you the right to speak whever you want. It does not give you the right to do whatever you want. Anarchy is the right to do whatever you want, including murder, rape, and general destruction of all mankind. Freedom sounds better, even if it's not the freedom we often think of. -y2
  14. By that rational, he has the right to make idiotic statments (and I'm not saying that's what it as) due to the fact the constituation backs him on doing so, therefore you shouldn't have the right to refute or speak out against his statement. Not sure what I just said? I'll reword it: It's somewhat like saying a person has the right to create this picture of our President with a gun to his head but the law does not have the right to investigate it. It's no different than you questioning his 'statement'. The law is simply questioning it's hidden intent (if any such intent exists). QUOTE(Wong & Owens @ Apr 13, 2005 -> 09:37 AM) I don't care whether anyone thinks it's art or not. You were not stating an opinion when you say--"I know it's certainly not art" and that is what I called an idiotic statement. Not your opinion.
  15. Not to mention that because of Jane Fonda (and what she represented), lines and lines of hippies were lined up waiting for our soldiers to return so they could stand in a line and throw things and spit at them in the name of "freedom", because they were opposed to a war in which most of these solders were drafted into. It took quite some time...but Jane got to feel what it was like to be spit on for no good reason. And I love every second of it. Defend Jane Fonda?!
  16. By that logic what can we do about the Cubs getting all the press? Cry about it and chant Cubs Suck after we beat the Twins? QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ Apr 20, 2005 -> 08:05 PM) Whats more fun? Winning the division. Finally dethroning the Twins. Prooving the media wrong about the Sox. The pennant. The world series. To name a few. What the f*** can we do about ANY of those things?
  17. Whats more fun? Winning the division. Finally dethroning the Twins. Prooving the media wrong about the Sox. The pennant. The world series. To name a few. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Apr 20, 2005 -> 08:01 PM) And whats more fun than ripping on that little b****-made motherf***er Kerry Wood?
  18. QUOTE(rangercal @ Apr 20, 2005 -> 07:59 PM) Thats exactly it! at my walgreens they're selling the believe bracelets at my kmart they have big card board sides (right off the street so traffic can see) that say go cubs! I will chant cubbies suck all I want and everyone will listen !
  19. Maybe I just haven't had enough to drink. I mean no offense, guys.
  20. I am ALL for celebrating the Sox win...I love the Sox. But the Sox beat the Tigers tonight. The Sox are dominaing inter-division games, and the only thing we post is a comparison to the f***ing Cubs. Jeez...what's on our minds, winning the ALC or Kerry Wood sucking. Call me a downer if you will, at least I don't chant Cubs Suck after we destroy the Twins. QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Apr 20, 2005 -> 07:54 PM) You must be the life of every party...
  21. If you don't care what they think, proove it by not posting things like this. The fact that you post anything Cub related, makes people think about the Cubs. It brings their stupid logo into my mind, and makes me think about them. I just don't get why we need to do this. I don't get why Sox fans need to chant Cubs Suck down the ramp at Comiskey after we beat the Twins. Maybe I don't want to get it. No offense or anything, but this just enforces what Cub fans say about Sox fans jealousy/obsession of their team. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Apr 20, 2005 -> 07:48 PM) WHO REALLY CARES WHAT FLUBBS FANS THINK!?!??!?!? That's my question.
  22. Hollywood Hogan rules!!! nWo 4 Life! QUOTE(Brian @ Apr 20, 2005 -> 07:24 PM) I love it!
  23. Posts like this are why Cub fans say Sox fans are obsessed with the Cubs. WHO CARES ABOUT KERRY f***ING WOOD AND THE CUBS. STOP COMPARING US TO THEM, STOP COMPARING OUR PITCHERS TO THEIRS. Let them get all the press. Let us get all the wins.
  24. Y2HH

    We have a new pope!

Me, but they said no and slammed the door in my face. QUOTE(The Critic @ Apr 19, 2005 -> 10:56 AM) He's 78 years old? Isn't there anyone somewhat younger they'd feel confident about for this position? Seems to me that they'll be doing this again relatively soon.
