  1. Cincy 3 - Cubs 1 bottom of 2nd 3 run homer by Adam Dunn in the 1st solo homer by Sosa in the 1st No word of garbage yet
  2. The Cubs have had players and coaches ejected, players and coaches throwing laughable tantrums, and players, coaches, and fans all throwing absurd amounts of garbage all over Wrigley Field for the past two days, and somehow Mariotti "forgets" to write about that, lol. Coinicence?
  3. f*** PETA. Any group that tries to scare little kids and then say that little kids shouldn't have pets, is completely devoid of any use. PETA :dips***
  4. Just call him "The Dude", or "The Duder", or "El Duderino" if you're not into that whole brevity thing. :puke
  5. Seriously, Uribe had another great game tonight. He's been a great addition. Plus, I didn't know he could play 3B, if he can do that it's another big plus. 2-4 tonight, 2 RBI, started the crucial DP to end the TB 8th.
  6. SOX WIN! Loaiza goes for the series win tomorrow! :fthecubs At least Devil Rays fans didn't cover the outfield in garbage. (Of course 9,000 fans can't really do too much). And now I encounter the one bogus part of mlb.com tv, no post-game coverage. Good all around pitching performance. Coulda, woulda, shoulda been a shutout (Jose).
  7. I'm from PA by way of VA by way of Terre Haute, Ind. so that's the main reason for being a long time Sox fan. They took WGN off of the TV package here at Gettysburg College. Anyway, last year I bought the mlb.tv thing on the internet and I am doing the same this season. So I watch as many games as I can. All these early season day games are a bit rough (I can skip only so many classes, lol)
  8. I'm in college in Gettysburg, but am probably going to remain living up here after college. TB brings in Jorge Sosa. We need to pummel this guy just because his name is Sosa. :fthecubs
  9. about Schoenweis - It was a high-quality outing. He was hitting his spots and was very much "on". He wasn't dominating (I don't think Schoenweis is ever really a "dominating" pitcher) but he certainly gets an A for efficency. He struggled in the first, gave up a single and a walk, but then got the DP to get out of it. He then was completly smooth and strong all the way until the 7th. From 1 out in the 3rd through the 6th inning, he retired 11 of 12. Very nice play by Uribe to end the 8th. 4-1 Sox going to the 9th.
  10. Schoenweis's line 6 2/3 IP, 5 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 2 BB, 3 K 84 pitches, 48 strikes, 36 balls updated ERA - 2.13 also... 0 extra base hits of off Schoenweis tonight
  11. Great start by Scott. He shoulda gotten outta the 7th, hopefully the Sox get out of it right here so the W stays in place for Schoenweis. Jose's been the only serious gap in the defense so far this season, hope it doesn't seriously cost the Sox here. I made an excuse for Jose for the throw in the 6th, but no excuses for that play. :puke
  12. Pro-Valentin - it was Crawford running to first so he rushed the throw. Con-Valentin - he's done this, (run it to the bag, from fairly far away, and then throw it too high to first) a couple times already this year. Oh well, still ended up being another good, effective inning for Schoenweis.
  13. Awesome Ozzie commercial. Also, that 40% guess about the leadoff walks was pretty damn good. According to http://www.diamond-mind.com/newsletter/en021213.htm from 1974-2002, 39.9% of leadoff walks scored. Another 1-2-3 inning for Scott.
  14. 1-2-3 for Schoenweis, so far a high quality start for Scott. Jose-Maggs-Frank in the top of 5th good chance for more runs.
  15. Bases loaded after Gload is HBP. Frank has gone 1st to 3rd on two singles now, pretty cool. Need a crooked number here now!
