expect a new CF and LFer in 2007 Ozzie just doesn't like BA. And KW knows he got the one great year Pods had in him in 2005 and now its time to move on. The only sure keepers for 2007 are: Pauly, Gooch, Dye, Crede, Garland, AJ, Jenks, and Thorton The probably keepers are: Buerhle, Contreras, McDougal, Cotts, R Mack, Gload, Ozuna, Thome The big question marks: Uribe, Anderson, Vazquez, Garcia, McCarthy, Riske, Cintron Good as Gone: Podsednick, Alomar, Hermanson KW has alot of work to do come November

For those who don't remember Buerhle had similar struggles in 2003 before finally turning it around in the 2nd half of that season and went on to have a 16-10 with an era of 3.89 in 2004 and followed that up by going 16-8 with an era of 3.12 and was a HUGE reason why they won it all in 2005. His 2006 struggles are very similar to 2003. You have to pick him up. For what Zito is going to get this offseason, that $9.5 million is a bargain IMO. Keep Buerhle, he's been our most consistent pitcher over the past 6 seasons and he has proven once he can turn it around and going into his free agent offseason next year, i garuntee he has a great year. IMO i would keep the rotation as is. I know there are pleanty of Freddy and Javy haters out there, but lately they have turned it around and look to have finally found it. Contreras and Garland have also been pretty consistent. Garland is only getting better as well. The pitcher i would trade is BMac. I know Ozzie doesn't blaim him for his struggles, but i do. If he can't make the transition into the bulpen what makes you think he can revert back to a starter's role? Not to mention pitch better than Javy or Freddy? If KW was smart he would package BMac with others and try to go after Crawford. Ohhh how bad this team needs a guy like him. Solid defender, with alot of speed. Get him and totally revamp our bullpen and we'll be fine.

another good game by freddy. you still want to get rid of this guy? if there is one guy to consider getting rid of it would have to be buerhle based on this season. he has been aweful. but i wouldnt even do that based on his awesome reputation to turn it around. i say keep the rotation as is and trade BMac in a package for a leadoff hitter.

yea i gave up a couple games ago. this team is showing nooo urgency whats so ever. if they don't care why should we?!? In order for the Sox to make the playoffs now, they MUST go 12-0 and hope Detroit goes 6-6 or Minny goes 8-5 or less to make the playoffs. At this point its just not realistic. You can thank a crappy bullpen and some old friends for that (Thomas and Maggs).

Okay well heres how i see this disaster. Yeah we wont make the playoffs. It sucks but im not that pissed off. We won the world series last year. That world series was like that really hot chick you've been going after for many many many years! You finally got her, and had one hell of a night with her if you know what im saying. She then says if you want to do this again you'll have to work very hard for it. Well you try and try to get her again, but fall just short of getting again. You then look in the mirror and say 'well at least i had that one night' and you can keep on playing that in your head and smile (hence the world series dvd). And who knows, maybe one day soon (not this year) you'll get that ultamate experience again See you guys in 2007.

After taking most of the afternoon to relax. I realized that the season is far from over pending a sweep of detroit. The White Sox have brought it against Detroit all year as Bearsox stated. If the Sox can sweep the Tigers, we'd be 2 games behind in the wild card with 10 games left. After that Detroit has KC for 6 more games. Well KC is no cake walk, they are playing the spoiler role so far down the stretch. Not to mention they took 2 of 3 vs Minny, something we can only dream of doing. I already submitted to Minny, but i refuse to submit to Detroit!! We can beat these guys. An old song writer once wrote "All we need is a miracle, all we need is you!" Well starting tonite, lets do the unthinkable! As the 3 stooges sang last year down the stretch during rough times "Don't stop believing..." I know most of us have stopped, but with a win tonite, maybe they can make us believe just one more time...

Last season Guillen would stand up on the top stair in the dugout for the entire game, this year i see him sitting on the bench. I think the whole Mariotti disaster softened him up. And that was during those inter-league games back in June. Im sure most of you noticed that we've been playing inconsistent sub. 500 baseball since then. Coincedence? Ozzie lost that fire, and the lost fire has rubbed off on the players. And as Hawk has stated "this team just doesn't look hungry enough". Well the hunger starts with the manager.

I just wanted to say that the last year winning the title and defending it was a new and great experience as a fan. Yeah im dissappointed we will likely miss the playoffs, but the fans really showed up this year, and white sox baseball will riegn supreme once again. KW and Ozzie have a lot of work to do with this team. POWER doesn't work. THis team needs better defense, better pitching and more speed. They won last season because of a balanced scappy lineup (kinda like this years A's and Twins). I understand KW's feel to get greedy with some extra bucks and go out and get Thome and Vazquez. But changing your team's philosophy after winning the title a certain way was a HUGE mistake. Im pissed off like all of you, but for these next 13 games we are the defending champions, and who knows if we will ever be called that again?!? It sure is tough to repeat!! God bless you all. I will cheer this team on until the very end. But for now im not going to think about it. Do other things, like watch Bears highlights, workout, find a hobby, find hot chicks, just enjoy life. And who knows.. maybe, just maybe we will be 2 games behind Minny going into that final series.... but i highly doubt it. 2007 will be better. Im sure KW, JR, and OG learned from their mistakes.

Ross Gload should be our DH! I would much rather have a better contact hitter in the lineup over a guy who hits an occassional 3rd or 4th inning home run and never EVER gets a clutch hit if his life depended on it.

i said we MUST go 11-5 at minimum. it might in fact take more than that to reach the playoffs. That being said EVERY game is a must win game. Thats the possition their in right now. We cant RELY on the Tigers or Twins melting down. Its time to sinch it up and strap it down. Play like champions!! Its going to be a wild ride 'till the finish line! And by the way GO ROYALS!!!!

we need to go 11-5 the rest of the way and have either the Twins go 9-7 or the Tigers go 8-8 for a one game playoff. It will be tough, be it can be done. That series vs Detroit is F'N HUGE!!! To go 11-5 here is what i see happening the rest of the way: 2 of 3 @ Oakland (2-1) 2 of 3 vs Detroit (4-2) call me crazy but we own Detroit this year. 3 of 4 vs Seattle (7-3) 2 of 3 @ Cleveland (9-4) 2 of 3 @ Minny (11-5) Yep we MUST win every series to get in the playoffs. No ifs ands or buts about it! Every game is a MUST win, ESSPECIALLY the 1st game of every series.

Phil knows his stuff. And he's right, as hot as the Twins are playing, they can easily collapse like Cleveland did last year. He's also right about Detroit they just seem to be either tired or just 'waiting' for the playoffs to start. Lets hope the Tribe can help us tonite. Its Bonser vs Lee Lee can either be really on or just terrible. Lets hope the button is pushed on tonite.

It looks like all of our starters have FINALLY fixed their kinks. NOW if only the bullpen can get into shape. McDougal's injury worries me since him and Thorton have been the only true consistent relievers as of late. I'm not as worried about Jenks as most of you are. He's a 1 inning pitcher and he has 40 saves. Im worried about McCarthy, Cotts and Riske however they just have been brutal!

can anybody come up with a clutch hit?!?!?! this team is not championship capable. the playoffs looks pretty far fetched by this point. not good. minny doesn't lose and if detroit plays .500 the rest of the way, they should win the wildcard. KW has alot to do during the offseason.
