The latest scoreboard update on the score said that they Sox wan't nothing to do with Lowell now. They still are working on a trade to acquire Burnett however. Right now the onlything that is preventing it is the longterm deal issue. KW doesn't want to make a trade for a rent-a-player. It also said that KW is scouting rboth Huff and Overbay- due to Frank's health issues. Is this a sign that Frank might be done for the year???

The trade deadline is on the horizon. What if KW doesn't make 1 move- will you all be pissed off?

5 more days till the deadline. Nobody knows what to expect at this point, not even KW.

I'm guessing KW was looking @ some of the Giants relievers as well as Vizquel. I still think the Giants won't trade Schmidt.

If we do aqcuire Mike Lowell. Does this mean KW's patience have ran out for Joe Crede? He is starting to heat up offensively and I don't think there is a better defensive 3B. Hmm.. Lowell just seems like a downgrade to me. what do you guys think?

The Phillies are only 3 games back with 6 more days until the deadline- i doubt they will fall out of contention in 6 days. That sucks because that means Wagner won't be dealt. I also heard that Seattle won't be dealing Guardado either. :( Other than Burnett the market sucks ass this season. If we do trade Marte/ McCarthy for Burnett- who takes Damaso's spot in the pen then? El-duque? Then we will only have 1 solid lefty out of the pen in Cotts. As much as i would love to have Omar here THIS season at SS. It just wont happen. He has 2 more years left on his contract and San Fran's GM pretty much said he is keeping the team as is and waiting for Barry's big return in '06. That is why Schmidt won't be dealt either. Besides what would you rather have at SS the next few years a young excellent defensive SS or an ageing veteran on his last leg?

I also listened to ESPN 1000 this afternoon and Levine didn't say anything in regards to Lowell being added to this potential trade. It was simply Marte and McCarthy for Burnett straight up. Screw Mike Lowell he was a 1.5 year wonder. Crede is heating up at the plate and his defense is better. And of course his contract is cheap as hell. I say make this deal- and GO FOR WAGNER!! to replace Marte's lefty spot in our pen. If KW does both of these...... okay im not going to say it

Hopefully we don't strand a plethora of men in base again today. Hopefully Count doesn't suck ass like he usually does vs the BOSox. Hopefully Pauly isn't playing 1B and Gload is today. Hopefully we can score some runs off a very below average pitcher in Arroyo. Hopefully Dye's bug bite has healed so we don't have to keep seeing Perez out in RF. Hopefully we get a banana split today.

This guy spends too much time on the DL to re-sign him to a long-term deal. If we do get this guy- it will be for the stretch run and this year's playoffs only. Trading away Marte would mean KW needs to find another lefty... (Wagner *cough) Screw it... I say go for it KW! Lets go for the whole enchalata! We will worry about our future in the offseason.

definitely not a solid starting lineup out there. I do like 1-4, but 5-9 is just pathetic. Better hope we scrap out runs tonite- or we will be looking at a very long night.

Do you guys think the Blue Jays forgot the whole David Wells for Mike Sirotka mess? KW really screwed Toronto there. (even though Wells sucked ass for us). I like this trade possibilty BUT i'm not sure if Toronto will work out another trade with us?
