The National Weather Sevice has issued a White Sox warning to the Twins.... They are predicting runs to keep scoring at a high rate... PLEASE seek shelter immediatley! Haha in all seriousness... the offense needs to give Danksy some more run support...
-
G Floyd time!! Lets keep this thing moving peeps! Another 2 from Joe Crede? Can Swish continue to swing the bat better? Will Alexie keep moving his average up?!? DAMN RAIN!! haha.
-
Buerhle needs a W... dont stop hitting the ball now...
-
Its VazKKKKez time Twinkies!!! Lets give hime some run support today fellas!!
-
QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Jun 5, 2008 -> 01:00 PM) 12-3 Sox, Contreras will go 7 and Loaiza will go the final 2, giving up 2 hits and no runs. How fitting would that be... Loaiza finishes the game for Contreras, the guy KW traded him for haha.
-
Jose has been stellar to start the year off.... No point of stopping now... How about give him some run support!! I was there in Tampa for that game when they only gave him 1 run.... I look for CQ, AJ, and Dye to rebound strong after last nights subpar game. Crede will likely be out for a couple days which could mean playing time for Pablo or Uribe tonight.

And That's a White Sox Winner in 15 !!!

Danks pitched decently tonight... He continues to impress me. Ramirez saved the game with about 4 barehand plays on defense tonight. . I never seen so many ground outs to the 2b before... Geeeeeze AJ! A win is a win and i'll take it. At least KC's bullpen will be burned out tommorow also.... Lets hope Contreras can go deep tommorow night. -
Hopefully Danks pretend the Royals are the Rays . I predict CQ will hit 2 tonight!!
-
Ramirez is continuing to impress me at the plate and his defense isn't too bad either... Kudos to KW for aqcuiring some cheap talent with a lot of promise (Danks, Floyd, Quentin and Ramirez). Now if only Swish can get going! And I really am starting to think Konerko should go to the DL... And Thome... well i just think his best days are waaaay behind him and KW should seriously start looking for the DH of the future at the ASB.

Grienke is another solid pitcher...but hopefully Ozzies 'outburst' wakes up the offense and they dont look back. Its good to be home, as we have many games played at home coming up. They have to take advantage. I look for a monster game out of Quentin and another solid performance out of Floyd. Im guessing the lineup will be: Ramirez, Cabrera, Quentin, Dye, Thome, Konerko, Pierzynski, Crede, Swisher. I highly doubt Ozzies moves Thome and Konerko down in the order once again. Even though they should be moved down because they are clearly the dead wieght of our lineup.

Im not liking all this crap coming from these O. Cab reports these past few days.. I defended it earlier, but reading that he doesn't feel 'comfortable' here kind of bothers me. At least Swish says how much he loves the Sox like everyday, even though he hits like .200. Pretty much everybody on the team loves the White Sox. Its a shame we cant say that for O. Cab.
-
yea PK is just bad... and im tired of hearing about his thumb!! If its that bad he should go to the DL. As far as O Cab is concerned, it doesnt bother me that he called the press box guy, the guy has pride out in the field defensively, and it also doesnt bother me that he said Scoscia was his best manager, Rowand also said that when he left the Sox about Ozzie. As long as he makes plays for 'the new' team i dont give a rats poop. The only thing that concerns me with this team is Konerko and Thome, they are just bad this year. I think Swisher will be fine, same with Buerhle, but Thome is the one guy who is showing his age.... and we cant have that as our DH if we are going to contend.

Look for Buerhle to continue to improve. Look for Thome to continue to hit at the only place he can hit . Look for us to see our division lead grow! -

put those brooms away.. the Stopper aka Contreras is going... we have always hit Lackey well.... I think 4 runs should be enough tonight. -
I just dont see a playoff contender trading away their leadoff hitter to another team who is possibly going to contend for the playoffs. I would LOVE Chone but it just doesnt seem realistic. Ramirez has done a fine job in Uribe's absence, but a true leadoff hitter is the missing ingrediant to something big here.

I predict the Sox to continue to hit Sabathia, another solid performance by Jose and a good start to the homestand!! Lets take care of business!! Keep the lineup the way it is Ozzie and good things will continue to happen. -
QUOTE (Kalapse @ May 18, 2008 -> 09:25 PM) No perhaps MVP?
-
QUOTE (South Side Fireworks Man @ May 18, 2008 -> 09:19 PM) Good things happen when Thome is not batting in the third slot. Yep, and even better things happen when Quentin is in the 3rd spot. Keep the lineup the way it is Ozzie.... Is Quentin eligible for rookie of the year? I know he played in spurts the past few seasons.

I actually loved the lineup change yesterday by Oz and it WORKED! Keep the slow slumpers down in the order. I think tonight will be a solid pitchers duel... lets get to our old pal Jon G tonight, get a W and head to San Fran with some momentum!! -

Sox offense wakes up today... Contreras continues to improve, bullpen shuts em down. Sox will win this won. I predicted the Sox to go 2-1 in Seattle, 1-3 in LA and 3-0 in San Fran, and im sticking to it! -
Trade Thome and Konerko before it's too late
GreatScott82 replied to VAfan's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Thome and Konerko will be moved further down in the lineup. Probably 5 and 6 by the end of this trip. Yeah their sucking it up right now... its kind of funny how our highest payed players are playing the worst baseball right now. (Konerko .200 hitter for 12 mill/season) (Thome .200 hitter for 14 mill/season) and Buerhle 1-5 for 14 mil/season. YIKES! I know Buerhle will bounce back but as far as Konerko and Thome go, thats 26 millions dollars which can easily be dispersed into making our team better. -
Can we finally play well on the west coast?
GreatScott82 replied to gosox41's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Im guessing we will win 2 of 3 in Seattle. Win 1 of 4 in Anahiem, yea there damn good. And 3 of 3 in San Fran. They are horrible, outside of Rowand and their young pitching staff (outside of Zito). So im predicting a 6-4 road trip which is very reasonable being what just happend when the team went North. (0-6)
