Hawk was very disappointed in Marte, saying he is still getting under his breaking ball to lefties but he does not think Bmac will see any post season playing time b/c he ended the season on such a high note and the Sox will want him to stay that way over the whole winter. Hood said that Berman and ESPN are crying because of the Red Sawk loss. Hawk got a huge laugh out of that and gave a big "THEY GONE!" It was pretty good.

Todays ALCS was postponed until sunday night, meaning that is the yanks win tomorrow game five will be on monday with the ALCS set to begin tuesday. Would MLB push the start of the ALCS back a day? If so it really f***s up a lot of plans! Any one know?

another thing about the bandwagoners. Jim Rose is a bigger moron that Berman. They interupted Wheel of forture, my grandpa's favorite show, with Rose as the sportscaster. His first words were the Chicago Cu--Whitesox just beat the Red Sox. THen he went on on about how he told everyone this would happen all year. He is the biggest tool of them all. It made me furious.

I have been thinking about this alot too. And the only bandwagoners i want are kids. Maybe 15 and younger. That is the time in their life they are most impressionable and the time they become true life long sox fans. If we get the kids, the ball park will be full for generations to come and we wont have those obnoxious bandwagon jumpers.

I found this on craigslist.com it is pretty funny.

Right before each of the three games I have jammed "Thunderstruck" as loud as it goes on my stereo. Also, I always wear my lucky Beuhrle jersey. Yesterday I was wearing a retro sox winter Knit hat with those fuzzy balls on top. I was so nervous during the game that I ripped it off. It will now be in my pockey for the rest of the playoffs. I will call it my lucky fuzzy ball.

QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 09:15 PM) Awesome thread. That is an awesome thread and even ANOTHER great story about Man Soo. He has to be the nicest guy in baseball. "On a side note -- I worked today's game. One of the classiest things I've ever seen -- the White Sox bullpen coach out in right field just after their batting practice was done. That guy handed out balls to the youngest of kids, signed autograph after autograph for anyone who asked, posed for pictures and even put little kids on his shoulder and backed up to the grass so their parents could snap a shot of them. I asked a White Sox fan who he was and they explained it was their bullpen catcher, Man Soo Lee and that he does that at every home game...signing autographs for everyone that asks. Classy guy and, when their team was introduced there was an ovation from the right field stands when Lee was announced."

watching el duque smoking capped off an awesome day of baseball. It was one of the funniest things watching him smoking a huge stogie in between questions. A truely Cuban thing to do.

I always thought that a manager who argues calls would never get a call after the b****ing takes place but tonight it almost seemed like the opposite was true. After ozzie's b****ing we got a lot more close calls it seemed. I guess ozzie always knows what he is doing.

QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 01:55 PM) Has anyone actually gotten a jersey there before? A poster at WSI said he got replica lettering on a Robin Ventura jersey when he thought it was authentic. Edit: Got it I got my Gray buehrle from there it is really nice. It took almost 2 months though, so I am surprised that on the website it said we would have the jersey by the end of the ALCS. I can only hope

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 01:01 PM) Darn it, can't get a hold of them via the phone and don't have a clue how to buy it through there web page. I click the buy now button and it just shows me a picture of both jerseys. I had the exact same problem until i called them up and they told me it was over to the right. I felt like a real dips*** after that.

Thanks for the Tip! I was going to go to Grandstand today after picking up my ALCS tickets. Now I just saved a bunch that I needed after spending almost 600 bucks on ALDS and ALCS Tickets. I picked up the vest of my fellow left hander and redbird Neal Cotts. I cant wait!
-
according to the Trib, he is in orlando for the ALDS and ALCS watching the games along because he gets so worked up over them. He did say that when the sox make the series he will be back in chicago.
