http://www.gwhatchet.com/news/771422.html?mkey=805628 The rest of the article really isn't that interesting. It's my school newspaper. But I know someone asked about they'd like to know what happened during commercials, so I thought I'd post this.

It may have filled up a lot faster this year because Soxfest is earlier. In the past, I couldn't go because it was two weeks after I just got back to school, and it was pointless for me to fly back to Chicago for Soxfest. But this year it's the last weekend of winter break, so I can go. I'm betting there's a lot more college students like me, and we're all making hotel reservations.

My roommate is watching the video as I'm writing this and from what I can tell both Tucker and Paul Begala seem upset although Tucker more so. It really is quite amusing. Psst...I was on Crossfire once during the Fireback section. And for those who don't know, Crossfire is filmed on my campus. Sorry...I had to say that... I never watch the show though...espcially since it's on at 4:30.

Just talked to my friend, and she was able to book the 2-night package this afternoon around 1 without a problem. She said it just took the girl a couple minutes to find it on the system. Yay! I'm going to get to go to my first Soxfest! I hope everyone who is trying to book the hotel can and that it's not sold out yet. Good luck!

Thanks everyone!! Unfortunately, I can't party too hard tonight because I have a big midterm tomorrow , but I'm at least buying one drink tonight. And on Friday, the fun begins.

Debate or playoff baseball

Doesn't matter either way to me cause lucky me gets to spend my night studying international public law. Happy Birthday to me.....must people get drunk on their 21st bday, I study.... -
George Washington University in Washington, DC. Woot! I'm studying political science and should graduate in December 2005. I didn't go to a community college although it would have saved me a lot of money. My school choice has helped me to make connections in the political world since I interned last fall and plan to intern again in the spring, so hopefully that'll help me find a job.

It doesn't have a set due date, just whenever. I just want to get it in and done with. I don't need anything too intense, just something of interest. So little more interesting than there are three types of fencing.. So yeah, if your friend has anything, that would be awesome.

13...Darth Vader....hmmm, I did not know I was so evil...

So...anyone out there know any fun facts about fencing?? I have to present a fun fact to my fencing class, and I got nothing. So I was just curious if anyone out there knew anything abut fencing or maybe knew of a place on the web dedicated to fencing. I'll take suggestions too (ie, what's one thing you'd like to know about fencing?). Any help would be appreciated. I keep putting this thing off, and I really need to start thinking about it. Thanks in advance guys!!

Well, I haven't done that cause I can't get any of my friends to join Soxtalk. But my friend and I have sent emails to each other while we're both at work...from the same room...and using the same computer...

Before college, AIM kept me from tying up the main phone line which made my parents happy. And now being in Washington, DC with my friends and family all in Illinois, AIM is my best friend. Course, I'm also a big nerd and I send instant messages to my roommate...

I remember having Prodigy and the really old AOL back in the day. I didn't become addicted to the internet until about 1997 when we switched to this local based internet provider called Millenium. But I totally remember having the beta version of AOL Instant Messenger in like 97-98.

Congrats to the Cards....

Go Cardinals!!! It made me very happy tonight to see them win!! Onward to the NLCS! -
I'm with 3 roommates in an "apartment-style residence hall" cause we're too cool here at GWU to say "dorm." When I'm at home, I'm with the family.

I couldn't handle the length of the trip so I've never done it. For me to go from DC to Chicago would take almost a day. Plus, I've found for me that when I consider time spent on the train and time spent flying and prices, it's just better to pay the extra money and fly since the train isn't really that much cheaper. So I always fly. But I feel your pain. I was look for a flight for Thanksgiving tonight and right now it looks like I'll be walking home...

I'm rooting for the Cards. I was really hoping the A's would have pulled out a couple of wins this weekend, but oh well. Why do I feel this way? I don't know. I usualy cheer for the AL team, but I'm not big fans of any of those teams. So I looked to the NL, and I've always like the Cards, so there ya go.

I'm like most people here, I make my own decisions based on issues and candidates stance and what not. I also admit that party does have an affect especially when I don't know a lot about the candidate's stance, but I usually try to find as much information as possible. I admit that my party choice is partly influenced by family (parents, brothers, cousins, uncles, aunts...I have a huge family so I've had a lot of people influencing me). So indirectly some of my choices are influenced by family. However now that I'm so political, the tables have turned, and I actually influence a lot of people. Especially my friends who are not very political but know that they better vote or else I'll be after them. Speaking of which, I hope all students away at school apply for an absentee ballot!! If you need help figuring out how to do this, you can ask me and I'll point you in the right direction!

I'm the youngest with two older brothers. So yeah, I'll admit...being the youngest and only girl does have it's perks...but my brothers did blame EVERYTHING on me when we were little...that sucked...a lot...

Ichiro's so awesome. Congrats to him!

Don't worry, I knew you were just playin' with me. When I saw your post, I just thought "oh hell, did I really just do that?" Oh, and this morning, since my brain was functioning, I did the math again. I went to 9 games and my record was 5-4.
