  1. You can read it online if you want at www.dailysouthtown.com
  2. I don't like them at all. I find them extremely boring. And I agree with what others said about them and taking forever to give the score. Another thing. I have to disagree with those who say they stick to the game. Everytime I turn them on they're talking about something else. I once had to listen to them talk about the ducks on the field for 10 minutes.
  3. Word of advice: Never go to DC during the winter. When it snows there, you would swear the sky was falling. A 15 minute ride from the airport to my dorm once took about 45 minutes. It was a Wednesday. The snow fell on Sunday. :headshake

    Turn signals

I always do even if it's late at night and no one is around. Honestly, how hard is it to flick a stick up or down??
  5. Happy Birthday! Good luck getting your license!
  6. I thought it was horrid too and I only saw the very end of it. Of course, I have hated that girl's singing since the first time I heard her. The singer, by the way, was Fantasia Barrino who is the girl who won American Idol 3.
  7. 3-1 this year...hopefully I'll make it out to more. I'm going the 23rd and 28th so hopefully a couple more in August.
  8. I'll be there...not sure where I'll be sitting, still have to buy the tickets. Let's hope for a win! Go Sox!
  9. SS2K, I don't mean to burst your bubble but technically the leader of the senate is the vice president who is, of course, 1st in line after the president. Order of Secession: Vice President Speaker of the House President Pro Tempore of US Senate Secretary of State Then it just goes through the cabinet, and I tend to mix them up. So sorry to put you down but I did intern on Capitol Hill and I go to school in DC and I'm majoring in poli sci, so this is sort of my field. And to keep with the main subject, I can stay in the US, I got an 11/11.

Hmm, seems like I'm the odd ball...I actually had fun at my orientation and mine was 2.5 days long. Sure there were stupid presentations...but there was a lot of fun stuff to just make you think the school was awesome. It probably helped that my school is in downtown DC so some of our peer advising group meetings took place at the Lincoln Memorial and on the top balcony of the Kennedy Center. Anyhoo, good luck to those of you searching for schools, and good luck to those of you going to orientation.

    Happy Birthday!
  12. I'm not planning on going to the concert, but I worked at the Tweeter Center last summer, so I can tell you that there are four entrances into the Tweeter Center. If you go south on Oak Park Ave you'll come across one. If you take Harlem to Oak Park you'll come to a second one (usually the most crowded). But if you take Flossmoor road you'll come to another two entrances. Those are usually not as crowded, but sometimes the police will close one entrance on the Flossmoor route and direct everyone to the other entrance. Hope that makes sense and helps. If you need more help go to tweetercenter.com/chicago
  13. Most of the attitudes currently on this thread is sickening. Y'all b**** and complain and say things like "where's the offense?" "we need a real pitcher" and blah blah blah. I agree the Sox haven't been playing as great as they could be, but that doesn't give you any reason to give up on them. The fans are as just important to this team as the players. If all their fans give up and say they have no chance of winning, then why should they care? Stop being so down on the team. I say :fthecubs and f*** the statistics! The Sox chances don't look good today, but the players aren't going to give up and either should you. Go Sox!!
  14. Well, I spend a little more than 2 months of the season out of town and the rest of the season in Chicago. And honestly they both suck in their own ways, but I personally hate being out of town more. It sucks not being able to watch the games everyday, and I can't afford MLB.TV so I get stuck watching Gameday Also, another thing that drives me nuts: Random Person: So where are you from? Me: Chicago Random Person: Oh, Go Cubs! Drives me crazy! Just cause I'm from Chicago doesn't automatically make me a Cubs fan!!
  15. Buehrle had, I think, a sac bunt, groundout, and strike out last night.
  16. I've been to Old Comiskey, The Cell, Camden Yards, Kaufman Stadium, and also Louisville Slugger Field (AAA Minor League stadium for the Bats)
  17. Well, it's better to be losing now than in September. I have faith the Sox will get back on track and knock those Twinkies out of first. Go Sox!
  18. Yep, they were the Cook County Cheetahs last year, but now have new owners who have changed a lot of things...including their name.
