  1. *sigh* I can actually watch this game and it ends up being a painful experience... We need hits!
  2. Going to school in DC means I don't get to watch games, but from what I could tell on Gameday the hitters were struggling a bit, but when it mattered that got the win. The bullpen were great tonight...I got nervous when I Billy was pitching but he got the job done...woo! So yeah, Go Sox!! And Go Joe!!
  3. Thanks for the welcome, Flash! Yeah, Palos Heights! Woo! Also, here's a link to the article with the mistakes. Yep, they were both in the same article. http://www.suntimes.com/output/sox/cst-spt-toni22.html
  4. I noticed the St. Louis Cardinals flub right away, and I was extremely confused. I just thought that maybe the Suntimes knew something I didn't... I overlooked the Santana thing until you mentioned it...obviously they meant Art Kusyner, and you know Kusyner and Santana do look a lot alike So yeah looks like the Sun Times needs a fact checker, you up for the job??
  5. He's doing better than I expected. I never thought of him as a bad pitcher, but after ST I was a little worried and I was worried he wouldn't be able to go very far into games since he had been pitching out of the bullpen for so long. But I've been very impressed with him. And I have to agree with southsideirish, Kudos to KW for making a good trade!
  6. I was pretty much born and raised a Sox fan. Both my parents were Sox fans and I grew up in the south suburbs so we went to games quite a bit especially because my dad used to be able to get tickets from his work when I was younger. Some of my best memories are going to Sox games at Old Comiskey which is pretty cool seeing as how I was only 7 when the new park was built. So yeah, I was a fan by birth sort of like becoming an American citizen by birth. I am the biggest fan in the family though. Whenever someone has questions about the Sox in my family they come to me.
  7. I think the fan voting online is stupid, too. It's like being back in high school. It's just a popularity contest and not based solely on skill but on who's in the media's babies. Especially this early in the season. How can anyone possibly make a valid decision!?
  8. I'm not the biggest fan of Danny Wright, but I do think it's still a little too early to take him out of the role as a starter. Furthermore, I'm still not sure that Cotts has proved that he can handle being a starter yet. He's been doing well in the bullpen, but I want to see more from him first. But if after a few more games, Danny hasn't improved much, then I think it'll be time to start thinking about trying something else.
  9. Thanks for the welcome guys! I'm excited to be here, you all seem like great people! Also, I was very excited to see that someone knew what my name meant, most people don't. So ten points to you, southsider. Unfortunately, I'm not the potus yet...I'm a Future POTUS actually.
  10. All right, so I'm probably a little biased since Mark is my favorite player, but I'm going to have to agree with those who say that it's too early to be saying that Mark has consistently been getting worse each year. He's only pitched in three games this season. Judging Mark's overall performance so early in the season is like trying to pick players for the All Star Game now, it's premature...oh wait...
