  1. I realize no one on here wants to hear my sob story for the 100th time, but i just traded away eloy and luis robert in my main dynasty fantasy baseball league. Doing everything in my power to trade Giolito/Moncada/Tim Anderson/Grandal in the next 6 hours before the deadline.

I'm done with this time. No passion, no accountability, whole organization is a dumpster.

    Just my 2 cents.

I’m in the camp of being glad Hahn didn’t panic and trade prospects for rentals. It’s either happening or not this season based on how Yoan, Giolito, Grandal, Eloy, etc. perform from here on. If they don’t meet expectations, it doesn’t matter who was traded for unless one of our underachievers was part of the trade, but none of them have much trade value at this point..

A retool is needed, but now probably wasn’t the best opportunity unless the return was part of the future plan, not just the rest of this season.

then they needed to fire the hitting coach and TLR.

Not getting a pitcher for that deadline was puzzling as hell. They went out and got a guy who could pinch run in the playoffs but didn't bother getting a useable third starter. It really made no sense.

they then went and traded for lance lynn in the next offseason... a half season too late

Honestly - it was last year at the deadline where the Sox truly lost me - I was vocal than and than continued this off-season with there absolute pathetic use of resources.  This just seems to be the bottoming out and the reality that there will be an entirely new regime starting in the off-season.  The amount of money and resources this team has put on mediocre and depth guys vs. focusing on top talent is just mind blowing (and that is all on Rick - I can give him a pass for the TLR fiasco but he is not innocent).

you could see signs well before..

the machado debacle, the trade deadline during the pandemic season

  5. seeing the white sox bomb another offseason/trade deadline experience is a strange joy to me at this point.

at first it was defeat, sadness and anger.

now i just wonder what it will take to leave this piss poor organization in the dark

Apparently, Bruce Levine was hinting at major changes coming this winter. It seems like they're about to pull the plug on this core.

I think TLR steps down, but Hahn and KW remain.

Players with value and no control will get traded.

I just wish they would fire la russa/ hitting coach now just to see what effects would come out of it in the second half... that is really valuable information we are leaving on the table.

I think people fail to realize how bad the farm system is viewed by other teams (outside of a few guys).  The Sox 10th or so prospect wouldn’t be in most teams top 30.

    This.

We are an absolute shit show organization right now :(.

  8. Why would the phils trade Schwarber?

Trading for Ian Happ is definitely an interesting move - it should take a decent haul to get him tho, but assuming he's been playing 2b and RF/LF that's a huge get!

But yeah, as others have stated, no moves matter unless you fire La Russa and probably the hitting coach IMO.
