  1. This is disturbing. I am glad that I use Qwest for phone and internet. I wonder what other "secret" programs are out there that they are tracking us with.
  2. Yanks and Red Sox by a long shot. We will only have to deal with Bonds for 1, maybe 2 more years. The Yanks Red Sox crap happens EVERY year. :puke
  3. Last I saw, Jenks was in the running for Cy Young. Cy Young
  4. QUOTE(mr_genius @ May 8, 2006 -> 07:11 PM) vandy, thats a kick ass signature, yo Thanks! I my White Sox DVDs.
  5. QUOTE(DePloderer @ May 8, 2006 -> 05:20 PM) No ones even heard of the White sox over here. I'm forever been told that I've got it wrong and that the White Sox come from Boston! LOL That's pretty funny. I would probably make a similar mistake with their soccer(football) teams.
  6. From what I have seen (this probably is not too surprising): 1. Cubs 2. Cardinals 3. Transplants like me who cheer on their own teams.
  7. QUOTE(Dan @ May 1, 2006 -> 04:56 PM) vandy125, your sig pic is f***in awesome. Thanks Dan. I just pulled that off of the WS DVD set and did a bit of editing. Fun stuff to do on my first try with a sig.
  8. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ May 1, 2006 -> 02:30 PM) Did you click on it? I got it now. I had images turned off in the board settings. So, all it was showing me was the link to the thumbnail. When I clicked on that, it brought me to the thumbnail, but not to the actual large image. Once I turned images back on, it worked fine. Very nice work Gold!
  9. Looks great from what I can see, but I can not get the full image. All I am getting is the thumbnail. Any ideas as to what I am doing wrong?
  10. FWIW, one of my co-workers is big into the Big 10 and has been talking about this for a while, and I think that some of his points make sense, and I do not see ISU or Mizzou making the cut. The Big 10 would be trying to improve their conference with any type of addition to it. This is a link to the rankings by US News of different universities: http://www.usnews.com/usnews/edu/college/r...tudoc_brief.php Big 10 (11 of 11 schools ranked. Avg ranking: 51) 12. Northwestern 25. Michigan 34. Wisconsin 42. Illinois 48. Penn State 60. Ohio State 60. Purdue 60. Iowa 74. Indiana 74. Michigan State 74. Minnesota Big 12 (9 of 12 schools ranked. Avg ranking (of those ranked): 82) 52. Texas 60. Texas A&M 78. Baylor 78. Colorado 85. Iowa State 85. Missouri 97. Kansas 97. Nebraska 109. Oklahoma For what it's worth, Utah is #120 on this list. Of course, the rankings above are only an overall score. There is much more that goes into it from an academic perspective. I am not up on all the details, but I know that there is a heavy emphasis on being a research institution (which all the big 11 schools are). Also, grad programs factor in heavily. I believe all of the Big 10 schools have Law and/or Med schools (ISU has neither for the record). For sure all the Big 10 schools have a large proportion of grad students in their student body. These reasons are also the explanation for why Notre Dame is not a serious Big 10 candidate either. Just one man's opinion (and also what I have picked up from other people), but if the Big 10 added anyone I would be putting my money on Pitt (58th on this list, meets many of the above criteria as well as making sense geographically). TIFWIW.
  11. ^^^^^^^^ :headshake This is just plain silly. Sounds like something from grade school
  12. First time that I've seen it.
  13. QUOTE(KipWellsFan @ Apr 20, 2006 -> 02:08 PM) http://www.engadget.com/2006/04/20/bush-go...developed-ipod/ Sweet! Now I know who to blame/sue when I turn my IPod's volume up to high and damage my hearing.
  14. QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Apr 20, 2006 -> 10:04 AM) Rolling Stone is of course going to lean decidedly to the left in what it runs politically. And historians tend to be more left-leaning on average than the common man, the piece states as much. But it's not a news story written by a news media outlet. It's an essay penned by an academic scholar and written for a general readership. Do most people see this difference?
  15. QUOTE(Goldmember @ Apr 19, 2006 -> 09:45 AM) w.t.f. That is the picture on the Yahoo story. Yahoo
  16. QUOTE(watchtower41 @ Apr 14, 2006 -> 10:34 AM) I wouldnt stash him away on your fantasy team, s***, even coming out of the pen, the guy is one of the most consistent pitchers I have thus far. If you have a spot for him, put him in everyday. That's what I am doing with him. He is lowering my WHIP and ERA every time he is out there (and adding a few Ks).
  17. I was amazed being in Des Moines and seeing them talk about baseball sized hail when we did not even get any rain. I'm not sure how something like that would miss us completely.
  18. QUOTE(3E8 @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 07:13 PM) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dmFyW0g-wRM...baseball%20kick That is pretty funny. I've never seen anyone kick the catcher.
  19. QUOTE(ZoomSlowik @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 01:15 PM) Rowand used to do the same thing with regularity. No he wouldn't. Rowand never made any errors.
  20. QUOTE(whitesoxfan99 @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 12:25 PM) 4-1 Sox as Monroe goes yard Dang I was hoping that was another misprint.
  21. QUOTE(SoxRock05 @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 12:19 PM) A. J. Pierzynski reaches on force attempt, missed catch error by Unknown (0), assist to first baseman Chris Shelton. Paul Konerko to 3rd. Jermaine Dye to 2nd. MLB GAMEDAY? I luuuuuvvv Game Day.
  22. Did Dye rob Granderson of a HR? Gameday showed a tie score with a HR by Granderson. Then, it flipped to an out.
  23. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 11:07 AM) Joe Crede has far more competition for the gold glove from Chavez than our shortstop does from anyone. If you ever wanted evidence that the gold glove is a joke, go ask Derek Jeter. ^^^^^^^^^^ Jeter's glove is overrated IMO
