  1. Never been so upset at a sporting event in my life. But alas, it's over, congrats to the GT players, they get to move on. Green was consistely the best player on the floor, he would have been fun to watch in other circumstances.
  2. What's to take in stride? GT fans booed the entire game on every single call, then finally got their way and got a BS win. Nothing in stride to take. Never said I wanted anyone to get hurt, just want OSU to destroy GT and send their fans home.
  3. Pretty amazing huh? 35 free throws for UNC in the first 30 minutes of the game then ZILCH for the final 10 minutes. GT's whiny fans finally got their way. Wish nothing but the worst for that entire program.
  4. God damn right I'm serious. You can't just ref a whole new f***ing game in the 2nd half because of a whiny, b****-ass program. Of course UNC's player choked as well, couldn't shoot from the outside and get no calls inside anymore = no offense and a pathetic loss.
  5. GTown's team and fans whining eventually got to the refs, what bulls***. f*** Georgetown and their whiny fans.
  6. Congrats guys, you got your wish, refs gave GTown another game.
  7. Another funny moment from the Sox-Cubs spring training game, at least to me. Ronnie was doing his usual cheer, he was in the OF bleachers at the time where I was at and this Sox fan beside me yelled out to Scott "Hey Scott, you know he's saying Scott Po! Scott Po!" and then Scott turns around and starts laughing at the comment. Thought the comment was funny, but even funnier that players actually listen to what's being said from the stands.
  8. OJ Mayo is actually very unselfish on the court, which is odd when you consider his off-court antics.
  9. Memphis is my team to beat, but USC would probably be my #2. Both will depend on whether Nick Young and Chris Douglas-Roberts stay or go. Both Memphis and USC would have ridiculous huge backcourts next year if everyone stays. Memphis: 6'3 PG Derrick Rose 6'5 PG/SG Antonio Anderson 6'6 SG/SF Chris Douglas-Roberts USC 6'3 PG Gabe Pruitt 6'5 PG/SG OJ Mayo 6'6 SG/SF Nick Young
  10. Donovan would probably flatly turn them down right now, mainly out of respect for all his guys choosing to come back this year. If they wait long enough for all of them to declare for the draft Donovan might bite on it.
  11. UK might as well wait until the tourney is over and then throw the sun and the moon at Billy Donovan.
  12. Thad's not going anywhere until Roy retires... :-P
  13. KU 74 SIU 65 * runs away from Rowand44 UCLA 68 Pitt 65
  14. Hard to blame him for passing on Lofton for Crawford. Crawford was a top 20 recruit and has produced well at UK. Tubby's problem is his style of play. Recruits know he plays a slower style and that's why he can't attract better athletes. His style will fit the Big 10 perfectly and the Gophers are getting a very good X's and O's coach that is as classy as people come. That and Tubby is away from the racism :-)...
  15. I wouldn't mind any upsets that happen tonight ;-). Seriously, it should be a great game tomorrow night, hopefully Reshawn Terry is over his Strep by then so he can guard Young.UNC needs some revenge on USC for the earlier loss.
  16. Not sure if this was posted already, but you GOTTA love OJ Mayo Quote: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A stranger walked into the University of Southern California basketball office one day last summer and asked to speak to the head coach. The stranger did not make an appointment. He did not call ahead. Tim Floyd, the U.S.C. head coach, cannot explain why he agreed to see him. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Quote: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The mysterious man got right to the point. “How would you like to have the best player in the country?” he asked. Floyd tried not to roll his eyes. “Have you heard of O. J. Mayo?” the man asked. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Quote: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- “O. J. wanted me to come here today,” the man told Floyd. “He wanted me to figure out who you are.” -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Quote: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The man explained that Mayo wanted to market himself before going to the N.B.A., and that Los Angeles would give him the best possible platform. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Quote: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- “Let me call him,” Floyd said. The man shook his head again. “O. J. doesn’t give out his cell,” he said. “He’ll call you.” -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Quote: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- When Floyd answered the phone, he heard a teenager’s voice on the other end: “Coach, this is O. J. Mayo. I’d like to come to your school.” Mayo had not been on an official campus visit. He had not seen the new arena, the Galen Center. He did not know anything about the current roster. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Quote: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mayo went through the priority list in his mind. “Don’t worry about recruiting,” he said. “I’ll take care of it.” Before Floyd hung up, he asked one more time for Mayo’s cellphone number. “No,” Mayo said. “I’ll call you.” -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- http://www.nytimes.com/2007/03/21/sports/n...amp;oref=slogin OJ's final curtain call, classy as ever. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6V9NaJtrncw
  17. UNC went from #1 ranked team in the nation to the 4th ranked team in the ACC(#7 overall) in the latest BaseballAmerica poll. Still, things are going very well both offensively and pitching wise. UNC has a bright future after last years recruiting class with a lot of good freshmen contributing. Also, pre-season A-A Chad Flack is having a miserable season, but others have been picking him up.
  18. I saw the same thing. guys would climb up the wall and rob the ball 3-4 feet above the wall at least once a game and I couldn't figure out how to do it myself(still can't). I didn't see the OF sliders when I first looked, so I was really frustrated.
  19. That and Augustin has been playing completely out of control lately. To top it off, Mason was hurt for a lot of the Kansas game and a scrub senior had to get big minutes because of their lack of depth. If Mason is out or in bad shape, then they are screwed.
  20. I fully expect Durant to burn UNC for 50 because UNC had to turn him down for his grades. But, I still don't think they can take UNC's depth.
  21. Florida vs Kansas, and UNC vs. Texas A&M Florida vs. UNC UNC :-), suprise(not a head pick, all heart)
  22. Are you playing on All-Star level? Everything I throw in the zone(corners) or low gets hit in one, two, or three pitches. Up in the zone is the only safe place so far.
  23. I finally figured out that about the only way to strike someone out is a fastball at the top or above the strike zone. Also, the OF's have WAY to strong of arms. I have been thrown out by plays standing at the CF or RF wall too many times.
  24. Gotta love Duke getting a higher NCAA tourney seed than ACC tourney seed.
