  1. LOL at the region. My nightmare has been realized. TTU vs. BC and then maybe Georgetown. UNC vs. Marquette or Michigan State and then Durant. That's not even fair.
  2. Well, Kentucky fans want a coach that can recruit... and their best coach of all time was also a POS...
  3. Texas has to get past Baylor first. Baylor has the talent and size to knock them off.

    Computer question

Have you used an updated virus scan on your system? Some viruses will take up huge amounts of space in odd places. Wondering because 50 GB is a lot of space to use up, unless you have tons of pictures, programs etc stored on your computer, I can't imagine the 50 GB being legitamately taken up.
  5. Texas Tech advances and probably secured a tournament bid. :-D
  6. Testing positive for Ephedra didn't really bother me so much about Valido, but the fact he tested positive for a steroid precursor is a little harder to take. The House voted to bar over the counter sales of steroid precursor's in early June of 2004. Heck, the government and minor league baseball banned Ephedra back in 2003. I find it hard to believe Valido found an over the counter supplement still available with Ephedra and steroid precursor's in 2005 and didn't bother to read the label for it's contents. Maybe it was a giant case if ignorance, but either way, he's still in the Sox organization and made a mistake, I'm still rooting for him.
  7. It's a fun game, but I have a few glitches. I have stolen a few bases, yet the next batter will come up and the guy will be back on 1st base. Then say Carl Crawford is the last out of an inning, he will sometimes come back up the next inning and be the leadoff hitter, I look at the stats and they will give the at-bat to some obscure player on my bench. As for the fielding, I'm pretty irritated with the speed boost thing. I will use it to get to a fly ball, but if I run past the spot even a little, it's almost impossible to get him to turn around, he will just stand there facing the wall and the ball will land 2 feet in front of him and the other OF will have to come pick it up. And for the life of me I can't figure out the wall climb thing, what button do you press to do it when it's indicated?
  8. http://www.baseballamerica.com/today/news/...12steroids.html I was really high on Valido when we drafted him, and thought for sure we had drafted our future SS. But the steroid case, and subsequent injury have turned me completely off of him. Would be great to see him come back with an assumed steroid free good year and retake his place as our best infield prospect. I guess I want to see him prove that he can play without help. He's still young enough to turn it around.
  9. ss2k5 As much as I like drafting the best player available, I would rather see us FINALLY focus on getting a middle infielder in the 1st. Tadahito and Uribe aren't exactly on the rise in their careers at this point and we don't have a replacement outside of plugging Cintron in and hoping. Outside of Shelby, I don't really see any viable options in our minors either(suprise suprise), and Shelby has a long ways to go from rookie ball.
  10. Hard to imagine doing such a piss poor job of coaching to allow a team with Boggan, Curry, Eaton etc and an early record of 15-1 to not even make the tournament. 5-10 in your last 15 games is atrocious. They might have surpassed Clemson as the ultimate choker this season, and I didn't think that would be possible.
  11. Clements is a poor man's version of Champ Bailey. He is solid against the run and is a physical corner, Bly is a cover corner that creates turnovers. So yes, Bly is a better fit and an upgrade over Clements for the Broncos. Teams are going to be throwing at Bly and that's his specialty. He's not the best against the run, but that's what John Lynch and the amazing group of LB's are for.
  12. That would be fun to have either Clemson or FSU who is playing for their tourney lives against UNC, who under Roy Williams has notoriously not cared about conference tournaments.
  13. Bly is still an upgrade over Clements. Bly intercepts more passes and causes more turnovers than just about any CB in football. Denver doesn't need a corner pressing the line, they need a cover corner that can stick with his man and let Lynch focus on the run. Bly is a perfect fit with Champ Bailey. Teams aren't going to throw at Champ, and Bly will get many chances to create turnovers, especially with Denver's LB's speed covering the inside.
  14. Delvon Roe, top 5 in 08 class is all but committed to UNC now. Should make it official soon. UNC's 2008 class could end up being better than the 02 and 06 classes, which is scary.
  15. Ok, so here's the plan. ISU, go take down Kansas. Then we will go from there.

  17. Feel free to post the yards allowed if you can find it anywhere. Bly, 81 deflections over 8 years in 119 games for .68 a game Bailey, 97 deflections over 8 years in 126 games for .77 a game McAlister, 99 deflections over 8 years in 121 games for .8 a game Rolle, 84 deflections over 9 years in 132 games for .64 a game Tillman, 33 defelctions over 4 years in 53 games for .62 a game (3.5 int's a season, 65 tackles each year) Vasher, 17 defelctions over 3 years in 46 games for .37 a game Manning, 18 defelctions over 4 years in 63 games for .29 a game Bly has 7 defensive TD's in his 8 years. Bailey has 4 TD's McAlister has 6 TD's Rolle has 2 TD's Manning has 3 TD's in 4 years Tillman has 2 TD's in 4 years Vasher has 2 TD's in 3 years
  18. Not that anyone else cares again, but Texas Tech won their 20th tonight against Heads' guys in Ames. Wasn't the best officiated game, Tech seemed to get more calls than ISU for whatever reason. TTU is now 20-11 and finished 9-7 in the Big 12, hopefully clinching a berth. TTU might get the chance to make sure the committee chooses them over KSU, as TTU plays Colorado in the first and then KSU in the 2nd if they win. As for UNC and sharing the ACC title, I'm sure they will find a way to give it away against Duke as well.
  19. What the heck, let's compare. Rolle, 9 years, 27 int's, 3 int's a year and 38 tackles a year McAllister, 8 years, 22 int's, 2.75 int's a year and 44 tackles a year Bly, 8 years, 33 int's, 4 int's a year and 38.25 tackles a year Bailey, 8 years, 39 int's, 4.875 int's a year and 63 tackles a year Manning, 4 years, 14 int's, 3.5 int's a year and 45 tackles a year Vasher, 3 years, 16 int's, 5.33 int's a year and 40 tackles a year Bly and Bailey's numbers are clearly better than the Raven's pair, and the Raven's/Bear's pair get to play with two of the top front seven's in football each year. Bly spent half his career in Detroit and the other half in St. Louis. Let's see what number's Bly puts up when he gets to play with Denver's defensive talent. Bly also can tackle and hit's pretty well, he has forced 17 fumbles to go along with his 33 int's in his 8 years. Overall Bly has caused 50 turnover's in 8 years. Not bad for a guy that apparently can't tackle. Compared that to Vasher and Manning who have a combined 6 forced fumbles in their 7 years. The "great tackling" pair of McAlister and Samari have 5 forced fumbles in their 17 combined years. Champ has 5 forced fumbles by himself. Would you rather have a CB that has created 50 turnovers in 8 years or a CB like McAlister who will get you 6 more tackles each year? Maybe every one of those 6 tackles will be game savers, maybe not. Oh and Bly's not to shabby on grass either, still the all-time leader in the ACC in interceptions with 20 and was a 3 time All-American in his 3 years at UNC.
  20. That would be a good bracket, UNC would at least make the Sweet 16 before getting beaten by Georgetown or Butler. That is unless of course the Wizard of Oz gives Roy a brain and the team a heart, he could even throw in some courage for me to believe in the team again.
  21. No suprise, UNC loses again. Roy has been mailing it in for a while now. He figures he has recruited enough talent that it will take care of itself and he can stand on the sidelines and clap and horde his timeouts like they are his f-ing cokes.
