  1. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Nov 30, 2011 -> 12:06 AM) The more I think about it, the more I would be a fan of Mike Leach getting a look from Illinois. Somebody will be smart to hire him. He has his major positive and negative aspects. Positive: Brilliant offense Doesn't need 4 and 5 star recruits to win Puts fans in seats with his offense and personality Teams play well even against powerhouses Graduates players Neutral: Recruiting is average Schedules easiest OOC schedule in nation. Negative: Defense is an afterthought No fundraising, speaking events, won't play nice with higher ups Always looking for a raise after each season.
  2. Good Lord there is nothing similar between Paulus and Craft outside of being 6'2 white guys. Come on Dookie V. Followed with a creepy random spotlight. Solid.
  3. I don't understand why Craft isn't on Rivers, but Ohio State looking good so far.
  4. QUOTE (bmags @ Nov 29, 2011 -> 10:41 AM) Which absolutely should happen. Nobody in jax will even notice. The 2nd largest market in the country without a football team is a joke. 3rd time is the charm?
  5. QUOTE (farmteam @ Nov 28, 2011 -> 03:37 PM) What's the scoop on NC State? I know they have a great recruiting class for next year, but how are they playing this year, anyone seen them? Basically, what are the Hoosiers chances, given that they're playing in Raleigh? NC State isn't coached well, but they have a lot of talent already on the roster. Lorenzo Brown at SG is a future NBA player, and CJ Leslie is a future NBA guy at PF. It should be a great battle inside for Zeller against 3 legit 6'8-6'9 guys.
  6. QUOTE (zenryan @ Nov 27, 2011 -> 08:08 PM) I saw that. Meyer has a good relationship with Lakeland and if Miami is going to lose a recruit, I guess its best it happens at a position that we have some talent on. We'll see if my theory of Rivals and their star rankings holds true on this switch. He was a 0 star recruit with Miami so let's see if he gets a few star bump since he is committed to OSU now. A few years ago Miami got a commit from a local WR with 0 stars. A week later he changes to Florida and somehow magically turned into a 4 star recruit. haha also grumblings of UF QB Jeff Driskell leaving the program and following Meyer to OSU. edit---Frankie Hammond Jr was the UF WR that went from 0 stars to 4 stars just by committing to the Gators. Certain schools do get a stars bump. But when a player is ranked as a 0 or 1 star, it means he hasn't been reviewed or ranked yet. 2 is the lowest a kid can be ranked after review.
  7. Locksley wouldn't be a legit candidate would he? I would feel terrible for you guys if he was hired. He was an absolute joke at UNM, with the inmates running the poorly run asylum.
  8. QUOTE (danman31 @ Nov 26, 2011 -> 11:47 PM) In fairness, UNLV just went bombs away from downtown. Hard to beat a team that chucks up over 30 3s and a 40%+ rate. Unfortunately that's Roy's coaching style. He coaches to give help on the dribble-drive everytime and leave the wide open kick-out 3. Teams usually end up with 10+ three's in a game against UNC. Roy is an elite recruiter and has a good style, but coaches like K can coach circles around him on gamedays.
  9. Every so often I forget how bad of an in-game coach Roy Williams is, and then games like tonight happen.
  10. QUOTE (danman31 @ Nov 25, 2011 -> 12:00 AM) Your bitterness is hilarious. Have fun with Texas. I can't believe you were pro-Texas in a game. You can't win with either school. A&M fans are the most delusional in the world. They truly believe they are on the same level as Alabama, LSU etc. Texas fans are the most arrogant fans around, the ones that can speak English anyways. Both schools have combined for 1 national title in the last 40 years. Yet they truly believe they are the center of the college football universe.
  11. As much as college football has sucked for my teams this year, I'm going to enjoy the oncoming BCS cluster. If Arky beats LSU and OU beats Okie State, all hell breaks loose. Make it happen.
  12. QUOTE (iamshack @ Nov 11, 2011 -> 04:11 PM) The idiots in this local news broadcast don't seem to have a clue how big of a part of this story they are breaking. Quote from the recruit. "Penn State has sent me letters throughout my junior year … He (Sandusky) came to my last spring game going into my senior season. He liked how I moved, laterally, and how gifted I am.” But seriously, Penn State using illegal recruiters as well? Least of their worries right now, I know.
  13. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Nov 9, 2011 -> 12:28 PM) This just in: Joe Paterno is now more hated than Osama Bin Laden. GMAB. He might've been a little too trusting (of people he had every right to put trust in) and naive, but a villain/demon who supports rape? lol. What if we told you that Juan Pierre was his favorite baseball player?
  14. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Nov 8, 2011 -> 12:56 PM) First of all...are we quite certain he only told the coach about it once? I believe according to the police report he was quite shaken up when he first made the report. Second, I'd still guess that the coaching staff told him to let them handle it, with some force behind that decision. I think he's asking why he didn't attack Sandusky or at least put a stop to the action. Personally I think it's absurd to report this to your boss instead of calling the cops immediately. I can't imagine a work environment where it's proper protocol to inform your boss of a heinous crime instead of the cops.
  15. UNC-Michigan State game might get rained out. http://www.weather.com/weather/wxdetail/USCA0982?dayNum=4
  16. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Oct 30, 2011 -> 01:58 AM) This has probably been discussed, but how do you win in Norman, then lose by 34 at home to the Cyclones??? WTF? It's what Tuberville does. He would beat Alabama one week and then lose to SE Louisiana State the next week. I'm already fed up with him in a season and a half.
  17. Heads, I don't know what the hell just happened. But at least use lube next time.
  18. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Oct 25, 2011 -> 10:23 AM) And it looks like the couch burners to the Big 12. Solid addition, but I'm still waiting for Louisville. I think they would be a no brainer assuming they can get their football program going again.
  19. QUOTE (danman31 @ Oct 23, 2011 -> 02:24 AM) Oh, it'll matter. The stakes are just smaller. It's for the Big 12 title instead of National Title implications. That is assuming Ok State stays undefeated, which at this point they should. Okie State still has to win in Lubbock, where they have only won once in the last 60+ years.
  20. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Oct 22, 2011 -> 10:49 PM) Texas Tech whipping Oklahoma ass bad....................looks like upset night. Not with Tubs coaching. He's doing his best to screw it up.
  21. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Oct 18, 2011 -> 09:22 AM) Potentially a 2012 1st-rounder in the deal. Wow. I know Kyle Boller isn't very good, but is Palmer that much of an upgrade? He was Mr. Pick-Six the last two years in Cincy. If they give up more than a 3rd or 4th round pick then Al Davis lives on.
  22. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Oct 6, 2011 -> 10:44 AM) I hope two more are on the way. Rumors that two more Big East schools will be on the way. I'm assuming Louisville and West Virginia, but I suppose Cincy could be one.
  23. Looks like TCU will be the first team to join the Big 12.
  24. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Oct 6, 2011 -> 09:19 AM) Is there a good Oregon Trail app on the Android market? I couldn't find one. Also my Sony GoogleTV looks like a iMac design rip-off. There's no denying that the man who built and later revitalized what is now one of the most valuable companies in the world has impacted all of our lives. I never cared for Apple's tendency toward closed-source. However, there's no denying that Apple's place as the main innovators in OS, application, and hardware design. I have been playing with Windows 8 lately, and it is definitely Window's trying to regain some footing into the design of the operating system.
