  1. So Cowher apparently did retire after last year. Fun stuff watching his team give away game after game. Steelers 2-4 now, and my favorite part was Cowher laughing and joking with Vick after Vick runs for 20 yards to seal the game and set up the game winning field goal. Awesome stuff.
  2. So is everyone geeked for the ESPN national television appearance of UNC-UVA on Thursday night? What a matchup, . Which brings a serious question to the board. Is it ever ok to cheer against your team? Because I am borderline on doing that, just to get Bunting out sooner. The quicker he is out, the better the program will be in the long run, his miraculous win against Miami in 04 saved his job and led to more misery ever since with false hope abound. Butch Davis, Gene Chizik(Texas' DC), and Jimbo Fischer(LSU OC) are thought to be the main choices to replace Bunting. All of which are much better choices, and have expressed interest in the job.
  3. lol, without Roy, you would have much less TRADITION, TRADITION, TRADITION. Without Roy you wouldn't have Bill Self wanting the job. Normally I try to ignore this stuff, but enough is enough, give it up already.
  4. Can't wait for it to start, as my football season has been depressing to say the least. I'm really hoping Oden somehow makes it back for OSU when they play UNC, that would be awesome to watch.
  5. From Super Bowl to getting a shot at Calvin Johnson in one year,
  6. Can't have this list without the man who is 25-40 at his school, whiling having 15 NFL players on his roster over that 6 year span, still managing to attain a defense that has given up over 400 yards a game during his tenure. Mr. John Bunting has singlehandedly torn apart the UNC football program, yet is still safe with his job until the end of the season. Why? Because basketball is starting soon. Which is even sadder for me because somehow, someway I have actually grown to love UNC football a little more than even basketball.
  7. Dan, great job by your Missou guys tonight. Made Graham Harrell look silly. 5 turnovers by our QB, not going to ever get it done. Missou should win the North with any amount of small breaks.
  8. "Dude, where's my car?...Oh nevermind, I remember now!"
  9. Pretty simple, the bigger message boards get, the more people are available to be offended and complain about it.
  10. Not a good weekend for Iowa fans, sorry Jason. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/news/story?id=2606247
  11. Oh no, Illini are leaving my guys(UNC) behind now. I need to find some Temple fans to sulk with.
  12. If Rose ends up anywhere but Memphis I will be pretty suprised. Calipari likes to take gambles on talented players, regardless of their "situations".
  13. Good luck with the campaign Mike! As for the website, I already know of one bug with the Firefox browser on the "Kids must be lifelong learners page" where the text spills out of the table for some reason. But if you guys find anything else, feel free to post it.
  14. Yikes, Ben Roethlisberger has been the worst QB in the league thus far. More bad effects from a stupid offseason decision compiled with his appendectomy. Steelers gave the game to the Bengals with 5 turnovers, while Carson Palmer tried to give it back with 2 INT's and 4 fumbles of his own. Believe it or not, but most Steelers fans are ready for Cowher to go. His favorites on the team that he keeps throwing on the field hurt the team time after time.
  15. We need to see an Illinois-UNC football game this year, that would be epic. The Illini fans on this board and myself would be the only one's watching, but that's ok. As an aside, during John Bunting's "stellar" 6 year career at UNC, his defenses give up an average of 411.1 yards per game. This with NFL defensive players such as Julius Peppers, Ryan Sims, Sedrick Hodge, David Thornton, Tommy Davis, Chase Page, Jonas Seawright, Gerald Sensabaugh, and Michael Waddell. 10 NFL defensive players in 6 years with THOSE results. Oh the joy of being a Carolina football fan after Mack Brown's departure. Thanks Bunting!
  16. Not sure if this will help or not, just found it at Microsofts site. 17. Jaguars run defense is ridiculous, completely owned one of the best OL's in the league. Ben was definitely rusty.
  18. Yeah, VT is really going to struggle throwing the ball. Sean Glennon just isn't very good at all. Unfortunately UNC's QB's were even worse. I would rank the top 5 ACC teams in this order right now. 1. FSU 2. BC 3. Miami 4. Clemson 5. Virginia Tech FSU has the talent and the unblemished record as of now to possibly earn the BCS bid. Then again I fully expect both FSU and Miami to meet in the championship game again unless Glennon actually finds an arm. I have a feeling the entire league is going to be in for a defensive struggle week in and week out.
  19. So... terrestrial, jovian, and now fluffy?
  20. lmao at the ACC, it is amazingly bad this year. I don't think a single team in the league truly belongs in the BCS games.
  21. Great start. I was expecting a loss without Ben. Charlie played very well in his absence and Willie started off very well against a very good D. Couldn't have asked for a better start, especially with the hellacious schedule.
  22. Strange, here is the story you are speaking of. It didn't really have to do with football per se, but the view of the victim vs. attackers lifestyles unfortunately. Here is a long story about it, it's very interesting and sickening. Especially for me, as I was a freshmen at the high school during the incident. http://www.musicbanter.com/showthread.php?t=2231 Here is the victim's memorial site. http://www.briandeneke.org/
  23. http://www.insidehoops.com/elite-24-hoops-classic.shtml Amazing talent to be featured at Rucker park if you get a chance to watch, not sure if NBATV will be covering it or not, they would be stupid not to.
  24. So Heads, are you nervous about the Toledo game tonight? It should be a pretty good one, especially as an opener. Too bad it's not on Gameplan, as it's the best game going today in my opinion.
  25. I bet they are good for it, right?
