  1. 1 seed: comparable to other brackets, maybe the 3rd overall 1 seed. (Nova) 2 seed: arguably best 2 seed in tournament, OSU w/ Texas neck and neck 3 seed: arguably best 3 seed in tournament, UF w/ Iowa neck and neck 4 seed: comparable to other brackets, four very good 4 seeds. (BC) 5 seed: clearly behind Pitt, but arguable with the others (Nevada) 6 seed: worst 6 seed in tourney, admitted (Oklahoma) 7 seed: arguably top 7 seed in tourney, (Georgetown) 8/9 seed: Ariz/Wisc. as good of a matchup as any other 8/9 matchup. This bracket has 7 of the final top 25 teams in the nation in last weeks polls.
  2. UNC gets to play MSU in Ohio in the 2nd round as a 3 seed, how fun.
  3. I like both teams because of their strength inside with a great shooting PG running the show. This team is different from the soft Florida teams of the past, as Billy finally learned he had to build inside out, and you won't find a better 4-5 combo than Horford and Noah.
  4. Best bracket this year in my opinion. First 4 seeds are all legitimate final four contenders.
  5. No logic, both Illinois and UNC should have been ranked ahead of them, how sad.
  6. Nice to see BC rolling over for Duke after playing the game of their life yesterday...
  7. Great regular season for UNC, regardless of the loss and the many chances they had to pull the game out. 22-7, amazing. Now I'm just hoping for a 3 seed.
  8. I feel the same way about the Pittsburgh team as a whole, can't stand them. Whether its the showboating, the smack talking/gesturing, or the un-needed 3 point attempt at the end of the game against Villanova. That's one team I will be cheering against, even if it was Duke playing them.
  9. I have a friend thats a Vols insider, and thats exactly what he said. They play 7 players, and they just can't handle the pace all season long. But on the bright side for them, everyone returns next year and they should be a pre-season top 15 team.
  10. Once TTU demolishes Kansas, everyone else will just give up.
  11. Kelvin Pritchard was actually the first player ever signed by the Vancouver Grizzlies.
  12. He did what he should have in defending his player, but I and everyone else could have done without all the f-bombs.
  13. There's no suprise who I went with... JJ Redick. Yep thats right, JJ. As much as I dislike JJ, and it's alot, I dislike Morrison even more. Whether its his constant whining that I first noticed last year, or his complete lack of defense. JJ atleast hacks guys in the arm and gives an effort . Morrison is just b****ing the whole way back on defense about a call he didn't get or a shot he didn't get to take. He's going to play SF at the next level, and he doesn't have the athletecism of even Wally, much less Bird. I would say he has a good chance of being Mike Dunleavy at his best, and even Mike is more athletic than Morrison. Redick is getting his 27+ ppg a night with ACC level defenders that are mostly 6'5+, somewhat similar to what he will see at the next level, and he still gets his stats. Morrison is facing either slow lanky 6'8 kids trying to guard him, or 6'4 guys trying to chase him around. He's going to have 6'7-6'10 athletic SF's at the next level guarding him every night.
  14. Hilarious and true about the ugly student body. It's kind of fun though, if you watch and game and try to spot good looking people, its like finding Waldo.
  15. You guys will NEVER guess which one I am with all the UNC fans on the board.
  16. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/player/profile?playerId=12289 JJ's reign as all-time leading 3 point shooter didn't last long...
  17. I was pretty proud of Vitale last night at one point in the game, as he stated that "Redick is probably one of the 20 best players in ACC history", that took me by suprise.
  18. Just me, but I would be very happy about that. KU-UF should be a great game, while Nova should slaughter Syracuse.
  19. Tyler wouldn't be drafted over big guys like Aldridge, Bargnani, Tyrus Thomas, Al Horford, Shelden Williams, Hilton Armstrong etc, which would put him out of the lottery. He has alot of stuff to work on as a player, he just gets his stats from pure hustle and relentlessness. He's still a poor defender, average rebounder, and still gets worn down late in games. He has no reason to leave, as he's not going to be drafted over Oden even if he averages 50 ppg next year :-), and he has a legitimate post player coming in next year to take the double teams off of him, and he has an amazing PG coming in that will keep him fed down low. Not to mention his family is well off as well, but if he's a guaranteed lottery pick, I couldn't fault him. I just REALLY don't see that happening. Even a guy like Glen Davis would be jockeying with Tyler for draft positions this year.
  20. I don't know, GW is ranked #6 and #7 right now in the ESPN/AP polls, and if they win their tourney with Pops coming back, they would end up somewhere around 29-1 while creeping up the official NCAA RPI where the moved up to #29 this week from #33. If they sneak into the RPI top 25, it could be an argument they make.
  21. If Duke takes care of business in the ACC tourney, then I agree, 1 seed no doubt. But if they falter again in the ACC tourney, someone like GW, OSU, or Gonzaga could sneak up and steal the last 1 seed.
