  1. Is he out? I had only heard he would hear on his fate on Tuesday.
  2. The Texans have denied it, but, I wouldn't be suprised of Dan Reeves gets a serious look for the job, he's been a consultant for the team in the last month and would be interested in coaching again. That would be a nice hire if his health is well enough.
  3. Also, Mike Martz is likely out with the Rams also. Plenty of jobs this offseason.
  4. There are some coaches out there licking their chops with two coaching vacancies on a 9-7 and a 10-6 squad. If Bill Parcels hangs it up also, that would be an amazing set of jobs. By the way, Dom Capers is also out in Houston, not quite the same job as the other two right now.
  5. Nice ending for the Steelers. Fell behind early to Detroit, but came back to take the game easily. Willie Parker ended up with a great season, 1202 rushing yards and 1420 total yards from an undrafted 2nd year RB. Nice. Ben Roethlisberger struggled though, so thats very worrysome. Atleast it will be a matchup with the Bengals and not the Pat's first though.
  6. You know you have to have done alot of crap to actually get sent home by Bobby Bowden. Something like 3 rapes and you're out!
  7. I've thought about everyone playing a 10 game regular season schedule, 5-5 can make you bowl eligable. The top 4 teams in the nation are in a playoff scenario, 1 seed vs. 4, 2-3 etc, 1 vs. 4 and 2 vs. 3 playing their first game around the same time other teams are playing regular bowl games, then the two winners play in early January for the championship.
  8. I know I would, I get absolutely tired of seeing the same bowls every year if your team makes it to a bowl, but not an elite bowl. Then again, I should just be happy when UNC makes a bowl game lately I suppose.
  9. College coaches across America groan... http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=2273706
  10. Yeah Willie they put a nice buttkicking on yesterday. Its just too bad that they had the big slip-up in the middle of the season without Ben and lost the division and any homefield advantage. I actually feel sorry for the Browns, thats a horrendous franchise, every one of their 1st round pick's have been busts or hurt so far. Gerard Warren, Courtney Brown, Tim Couch, William Green etc, its just sad.
  11. The Texans would be retarded not to trade down, teams will be dying for Bush and possibly Vince Young or Mario Williams at the top slot. At the very least they can trade down one spot and still draft Ferguson while gaining an extra pick or an extra OL.

    I am back

Welcome back Spiff, glad you are better.
  13. Thanks, seeing a Dukie suffer makes the day a little bit easier to take :-).
  14. Not suprisingly USC smacked UNC. The funniest part was when the moronic fans rushed the floor. They beat a bunch of freshmen at home, YIPEE. Stats of note. 24 TOs for UNC UNC 52% on free throws USC shot 57% from 3 That's all you need to know.
  15. Steelers are 8-3 with Roethlisberger at the helm, 1-0 with Charlie Batch at the helm, and 0-2 with Tommy Maddox "leading" the way. There's no reason they should lose at Cleveland or home to the Lions. But then again they shouldn't have lost to the Ravens, even with Maddox starting.
  16. Who is going to eat snacks that a burglar left for you? Unless its the hamburglar.
  17. Good news for you Illini fans. Isiah Williams "refreshed" his commitment to the Illini after flirting with UNC for a while.
  18. As a Heat fan, I absolutely HATE this. Stan is such a great guy, I truly hope he wasn't forced out. HE was the reason for the Heat's resurgance after 0-9, and HE's the reason guys want to play for the Heat again. Nobody wants to go through Pat Riley's practices, especially Shaq. This absolutely sucks, the Heat's scores will be back in the 80s/low 90s, yipee.
  19. Would it be possible for somebody to add something like a button on the Clickable Smilies section that would take the smilies off the screen. It just doesn't look right when I'm posting at work and thats on the screen while I'm typing, it kind of gives away that I'm not doing something for work lol.
  20. I did. He was very impressive defensively, and is very athletic. But he has a long ways to go with posting up and his passing is flat out horrendous right now. But he's played well against two good big men when he's been on ESPN the past few years. Last year against Tyler Hansbrough, and this year against a very good 2007 big man Aaron Pogue, almost a Sean May clone.
  21. I agree, its absurd. They should atleast allow him to repay whatever SFX paid for him and allow him to play. NCAA really cares about the athletes :headshake
  22. Nice article on Mike Leach. http://www.nytimes.com/2005/12/04/magazine/04coach.html if you need a name and password, use name: samcolt pword: 12345
