Pass defense definitely seperates the two. Troy is all over the field in the passing game making 10 deflections and 5 INT's last year earning his way to Hawaii. He can do it all, even guarding guys that are 6 inches taller like Gates. His weakness is his over aggression. He can get too emotional and overrun plays. -

I was shocked when the Steelers traded up in the first round for the first time in franchise history to draft Troy. Now its just another great draft pick. You won't find a better safety in the league. Hopefully Ben will be ok also, looked like he hyperextended his knee, was good to see it was only iced up and not carted off before the end of the game. He was also bending it and putting pressure on it walking a little, so hopefully no tears either, knock on wood. -
http://filebox.vt.edu/users/nvp1986/CheapShotUVa_Kiwi.wmv Just absolutely ridiculous. That kid is in alot of trouble on the field and off the field. This personal information has been posted all over the web. I hope that kid never plays football again, actually I hope he plays one more game and gets absolutely ripped apart, MCL/ACL/PCL on both legs torn up so he can never walk normal again.

I'm still sticking with that, except I'm getting very nervous about picking Michigan over Penn State, they have some nasty athletes now.

I knew Patrick Ramsey hasn't been great as a QB, but I'm shocked he's now at DE for Atlanta :-P, lol just messing with you. I know you meant Patrick Kerney. I think the injuries to NE will be too much to overcome this year and they don't have much of a shot at stopping Vick. -
26 points allowed through 4 games is just absurd. Not even allowing a touchdown a game, thats scary. I know its all because of the two Tar Heels on the D.

Early Look At Your Team's Draft Class
Palehosefan replied to AddisonStSox's topic in A and J's Olde Tyme Sports Pub
Hey now, I've been saying Carnell was a special player and the best back since before the combines even happened. Ronnie Brown is coming on now and will be a very good back also, but Carnell will be one of the greats. Just something about him, personality, skills, whatever it is, he just has "it" and always has. Also my Troy Williamson being the best receiver of the class is looking decent, he's deadlocked with Braylon right now. I am very suprised at Mike Williams lack of production I have to admit, I expected more. 25 yards at this point is just sad. As for the Steelers rookies. 1st: Heath Miller, limited throws to him, but he's catching everything and blocking very well, great outlet for Ben. 2nd: Bryant McFadden: providing good depth at CB, nickel starter 3rd: Trai Essex, providing very nice depth, very good pick Undrafted: Greg Warren, Steelers present and future long snapper, great signing. -

UNC gets a nice win over Utah 31-17 to pull to 2-2 on the year. Only losses were two tough ones to Wisconsin and Georgia Tech, had a real chance to be 4-0 if the offense had shown up in their first two. Up next at Louisville. -
Here's a nice fact sheet, even scarier to think Colossal squids are out there. http://www.tonmo.com/science/public/giantsquidfacts.php

Its plausible to capture a giant squid and keep it alive. It couldn't be for public display though. They would have to block off an area of ocean deep enough for it to survive and study it with camera's, microphones, and submarines. Then they can teach it to play a giant underwater piano to make it useful. http://dsc.discovery.com/convergence/giant...re/feature.html

That fits right in with my point of them being dominated. The Patriots had a drive of 75 and another of 50 yards go completely to waste by a fumble and the INT on the deflection. Both times the Pat's were inside the Steelers 15 yards and came away with nothing to show for it, this was all in the 2nd quarter. The Patriots could and should have been ahead of the Steelers by halftime. But you are right, Antawn had his worst game ever. It wasn't just that "fumble" that was bad, he missed a few balls that would have been big plays and would have kept the Steelers in front likely. -
Thats is amazingly cool. Especially for a Animal Planet/National Geographic dork like myself. I can't wait until a live one is captured and can be studied in captivity. Scary to think that there could be a 75 foot giant like that roaming the deep.

Damn, we even got dominated by the clock operator. -
The point being that being 62nd in the nation in passing efficiency is good enough when you run Wisconsin's style and have Calhoun in your backfield. You can't expect him to be John Elway. He has as many TD's thrown as Drew Tate, Northwestern's QB, and more than Troy Smith.

As much as I dislike the guy as a player, I never would have hoped for this. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/columns/stor..._len&id=2173044 Talk about a patch-work secondary, he was the glue holding it together, now it will be chaos. Who am I kidding, the Pat's will still find a way to win. -

Look what a monster I made by complimenting you on your skills a while ago . lol just kidding with you, your work is great as usual. -
He's completing 58% of his passes and has a 2:1 ratio of TD:INT, which is good enough for what Wisconsin needs. If he throws for 130-150 yards in a game, Wisconsin fans are likely going to be happy with the result of the game. Here's a list of passing efficiency, Chad Henne, Troy Smith, Justin Zwick, and John Stocco's numbers are included. Can you guess who's who? 133.95 127.39 126.73 123.82 ... Troy Smith John Stocco Chad Henne Justin Zwick

People are missing the point about Wisconsin. Like the Oklahoma teams of the 80's with Switzer. Wisconsin has one and only one identity, they run. Everyone in the world knows what they are going to do to you every given week, but teams still can't stop it. Wisconsin controls the LOS on both sides of the ball, if you can do that, you can win alot of games. Calhoun has had over 150 yards in back to back games against two very solid run stuffing D's. Booker Stanley also comes into games and doesn't have a big drop-off in talent. I truly believe that Calhoun will lead the nation in rushing and rush for 2K. Calhoun gets to run against two defenses ranked in the 100's in rush D the next two weeks, should be a feast. Wisconsin also has a very good TE option in the run game in Owen Daniels, and a very good WR in Brandon Williams who will break Lee Evans career receptions mark before he's done. Stocco isn't Bolinger, but he doesn't make mistakes and knows the true identity of the team and accepts it and compliments it. I'm not saying teams like OSU, USC, or VT wouldn't give them fits, but Wisconsin would be in all of the games because of their lines on both sides of the ball.
