North Texas becoming very good isn't out of the question. They had a good season last year with quite possibly the best freshmen runningback in the nation in Jammario Thomas who ran for 1801 yards with 17 TD's. They could be a program on the rise and be known for something other than their music progra, so keep an eye on the Mean Green.

Jackie Manual will be a great sign for someone, more so than even Jawad Williams. Jackie is an athletic 6'5 SG that is an absolute defensive stopper. He also has the athletic ability to get to the hole and finish. He needs to work on his shot, but so did Bruce Bowen when he first arrived.

Don't forget, at draft time last year, Taft was thought of as this years top pick, atleast he was the most likely choice at the time. Its amazing what another year of college exposed, he's a guy that would have been MUCH better off leaving after a year before his work ethic, and lack of skills were noticed by everyone.

JJ's not in the draft.

Von is an interesting pick, Spiff could tell you more, but Von has tons of talent. He was a mickey D's AA and a very good shooter coming out. He is an explosive scorer, but very inconsistent in my opinion. He had no business being in the draft, but he's a guy that could dominate the NBDL in the scoring column and make the NBA eventually.

Brian Grant now has a clone on the team.
-
Monta Ellis would be a great pick soon.
-
I've never actually heard of Sanchez, weird.
-
Just rename the Clippers the LA Dukies.

Amphibious according to Yogi, and ambidextrious to the rest of the world. I've never seen him shoot righty, but I know he has a solid handle with both hands. He also won the Mickey D's dunk contest 4 years ago, pretty athletic for a white guy :-).
-
I love the Lee selection also. He's a very athletic lefty with good rebounding ability. He didn't get much shots with Roberson and Walsh on his team, but he earned everything he got. He also has nice touch on his shot at 6'9+. I hate the Knicks, but they got a good one.

McCants with KG is beautiful. KG could really use a guy like Rashad who hit 62 of 75 from NBA 3 point range in his workouts. He's an awesome shooter and has tons of defensive potential that will be brought out by Garnett. Rashad should be a major candidate for ROY. He couldn't have landed in a better situation skill and personality wise.

Unfortunately for the players, even a promise doesn't mean a guarantee of anything. Louis Williams is telling people that he has a 1st round promise, we will see how that goes. Basically telling a foreign player like that that you promise to take them, just keeps them in the draft and gives the team another option. If somehow a player they want more falls to the Clippers, which is likely, then Koralev is pretty much screwed and likely will end up in next years draft again. Then again, its the Clippers we are talking about, who knows what they are thinking.
-
He's skyrocketed because of a promise from the Clippers to draft him at 12 I would assume. But there have been some comments from the Clippers also that there are a few players they would take over Koralev. I'm expecting the Clippers to draft Rashad McCants and then trade him to Denver for their two picks, Denver is very interested in Rashad, as is Indiana at 17.

How does pollution turn into dander? I learn something new everyday.

I'm not sure if he's trying to add sexual innuendo into the article, but after that paragraph my mind is in the gutter as usual. Guys "corking their bats" in private huh? Guys boning their bats also, I had always wondered what the hole at the top of the bat was for... If I had a guess, I would guess boning their bats means that they are compressing the bats to make them as hard as possible, just a guess though.

how did THIS happen?
Palehosefan replied to LosMediasBlancas's topic in A and J's Olde Tyme Sports Pub
I'm thinking about the max they travel is 70 feet, but you have all kinds of stuff going on at track meets right next to each other. Someone else on the board has an avatar of a guy doing the long jump with a stray female track person that walks in the way and gets smashed. I'm suprised more stuff like this doesn't happen, track meets are pretty nuts and chaotic, atleast they can be. -
lol don't worry about it, I had to sit for about 5 minutes to figure out a way to say it and not sound condescending.

Gio is a US citizen and was born in Florida I believe, just an fyi.
-
Heck, put the whole Florida AAA team on it, 88 combined homers already. Not a single starter with an ERA below 4. That can't be a hitters park can it? Nah.

UNC-Illini ACC/Big Ten showdown
Palehosefan replied to Palehosefan's topic in A and J's Olde Tyme Sports Pub
Yikes, no you don't. Their team will unfortunately be nasty next year. PG. Greg Paulus with senior Sean Dockery as the fall-back SG. Redick with Martynus Pocius, Demarcus Nelson backing him up SF. Melchionni with Pocius and Nelson backing him up also PF. McRoberts with Jamal Boykin backing him up C. Shelden Williams with Nyan Boetang backing him up I don't see many teams challenging them next year, possibly UConn if their PG troubles are solved, Villanova, Texas, and Oklahoma if they can find a PG. -
Jenks, Chris Young on US team with Razor as a coach, nobody on the world team.

UNC-Illini ACC/Big Ten showdown

Should be a few interesting matchups atleast. Tyler Hansbrough versus Augustine should be a good one. Quentin Thomas versus Dee Brown will be ugly I do have to admit. -
