  1. I'm sure its been mentioned before, but I found a glitch in the game. I hit 2 inside the park HR's with Juan Pierre in Houston without any errors on the plays and it gave him 2 doubles at the end of the game.
  2. I thought I was nuts last night when I looked at the box scores, but its still there today. How did Paulino get a save by pitching to 1 hitter while up 5 runs? Even if Meaux had 3 people on base for Reynoso, that still would have left them down 1 run.
  3. Don't count on the Browns being good this year. They always seem to have good drafts, whether it was Gerard Warren, Courtney Brown, Tim Couch, William Green etc, they all come in with alot of hype and then don't turn out to be anything of what they were hyped to be. Considering the Bengals, Ravens, and Steelers in their division should all be +.500 teams, I don't see the Brown's having a good season.
  4. I watch it most nights as part of the Trifecta now. I think its a great show and usually has some very interesting topics. Its just a shame they only get 20 minutes now.
  5. Wohoo my first post on the 49 page thread. 3 PT line will not be moved back in college game. :banghead http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/columns/stor...andy&id=2053321
  6. Walter Young is apparently a rather large young man and also doesn't have a position that he can play. The perfect DH in the AL.
  7. Here is BA's newest hot sheet, take a look at the bottom at Walter Young's position... http://www.baseballamerica.com/today/minor...tsheet2005.html
  8. Thank God I'm already out of high school. Yum yum.
  9. There is an insider article that includes Scott Pod as the LF for most overrated. Here is his reasoning. "When looking for the most overrated players in the majors, that French phrase seems pretty appropriate. What does overrated mean, anyway? Just a notable underachiever? Or simply a player who's grossly overpaid, given how well he's currently playing? Or a chronic slacker, who has reached a certain level but shows no ambition to take his game to a higher level? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Or maybe a fan favorite whose reputation is greater than his actual talent? A player whose skills are overestimated by his teammates and opponents? Possibly a star who regularly receives lavish praise from broadcasters despite his lack of production? " How does that describe Scott?
  10. So THATS how you got to 30k! lol j/k man. It will be interesting to see how the Wiz play in Chicago. They were a completely different team at home, suprise suprise.
  11. Man, strap me to a toilet and put that puppy in front of me and I'm ready.
  12. Its still a pretty tough argument to take Ben Gordon 15 ppg 2.3 rpg 2 apg over Dwight Howard 12 ppg 10 rpg 1.66 bpg But hey, Gordon helped lead his team to the playoffs, so I'm not really in complete disagreement with Gordon 2nd.
  13. Yeah I was speaking about Ryan Sweeney.
  14. Theo Davis' recruitment is a very odd one. At the end, when he was making his decision, teams were almost running away from him pulling their offers. He dropped Texas because of lack of PT, then it seems everyone dropped him but ISU. Lots of analysts think he has a ton of potential, very solid pick-up. As for Rush, he's dying to enter the draft, but no matter how many times he asks, he doesn't like what he's hearing from the NBA scouts etc. I would be suprised if he's not at Illinois for atleast a year. As for Conley, he's almost a lock for OSU right now, and teammate Greg Oden probably isn't too far behind. OSU and Thad Motta are locking up an unbelievable class with David Lighty and DQ Cook already in the fold. If they add Conley, regardless of Oden's NBA decision, they will have a top 3 class and something amazing to build on.
  15. Very nice pick-up. A top 50 big man from this class is a definite jewel. Especially one that won't think about entering the draft from hs like about 10 players from this class could. Semrau apparently had offers from Florida, Wake Forest, Illini, Indiana, Louisville, Purdue, and UCLA. UNC was also showing some interest in him, but too little too late apparently. Here's a short description of him from scout.com "Athletic frontcourt prospect has good hands and footwork. Has a soft touch around the basket, good skills, and knows how to score. Will run the court and excels on the offensive end of the floor."
  16. I do laugh at the past shots, when God has his secretary calling him Mr. Patterson etc. Today's episode was just over the line with me.
  17. Show was funny, but I was more than dissapointed with all the Christianity shots. In the past its been funny innocent stuff, but today it went over the line with me.
  18. Going off of memory, I believe teams were worried about Ryan's commitment to Tony Gwynn and the SDSU program. So yes I believe you are correct.
  19. Anyone figured out the trades yet? I can't figure out when they will make a trade and when they won't. On other baseball games and Madden etc I can make a good judgement on when they will trade. But with this game I can be trading them even talent that are making similar salaries and they won't budge. I've noticed they won't take on players with huge salaries, even when its for an average A prospect. Take Mike Piazza for example, I received him in a trade when I was acquiring David Wright, and Jose Reyes, but I couldn't deal him again if my life depended on it. I like to trade players for good prospects, but I usually have to add in a crappy player from their team that is making a fair amount of money, and I get stuck with alot of overpaid useless players in AAA. Its somewhat realistic in that you can't just fleece the computer, but sometimes it just gets very irritating.
  20. Its a long article with all the picks in the 1st round analyzed and graded. Anything specific you want to know about?
  21. I can honestly say GO BULLS, this Wizards team makes me sick watching them play. Etan Thomas belongs in the NBDL.
  22. lmao, Washington plays basketball like they have never played with each other in their lives.
  23. How would Antawn and the Wiz know how to act in the playoffs? I can definitely understand Bulls fan's anger, I just don't think it neccessarily means Antawn is a douche for his words, he's just trying to fire his team up and I don't neccessarily agree with the tactic either. The series is going to be a great one to watch, I can't wait.
  24. Of course you are going to say that, you are a Bulls fan. Its your opinion and you are more than entitled to it, didn't answer my post though. Antawn was traded partially because of his unhappiness, but mainly because Washington was looking for a low post scorer and team leader. Someone who can get his points on his own, as they realized Arenas and Hughes weren't giving up the ball anytime soon. They also got rid of Stackhouses contract in the deal. Antawn has talked more smack this year than normal, who knows why, but it doesn't make him a douchebag. Oh, and it is Antawn
