I've personally been hoping for another chance for Ruffcorn. Then bringing in Snopek, and Caruso to solidy our left side of the infield.

Wizards dare nocioni to beat them again.
Palehosefan replied to qwerty's topic in A and J's Olde Tyme Sports Pub
So let me get this straight, Jamison basically says Nocionni had a career day, and that he and Gilbert had bad days. What exactly is wrong with that? He said they are going to make Andres beat them again, inferring that Nocionni beat the Wizards in game 1, which is true and is a compliment to Andres. He's stating the Wizards played like crap and didn't play defense handing Nocionni the game, which would be a present. He didn't say anything out of the ordinary, he didn't whine about the refs, he didn't say the Wiz weren't trying, he didn't even say it was a fluke, he said "We're going to keep making him beat us. If he can keep doing that, I'll give it to him. " What is wrong with that statement, Nocionni's game shocked everyone, 25 and 18? Thats crazy. If he can keep that up, the Bulls are going to win the series handily. Antawn is trying to fire his team up in the article, like so many in the past have in similar articles, will it fire up Andres more than the Wizards? Thats a definite risk. The rest of the article is inferrence from the writer, whether its or Antawn is fine with his role in Washington, any player that is playing with Hughes, and Gilbert is going to have some kind of problems, as they will never get the ball unless they get it themselves. Whoever said Jamison was being more of a douchebag this year, can you please post whatever it is that made Antawn more of a douche? I would honestly be interested to read it. -
I used "vagina" and it told me to get my head out of the gutter after 28 guesses.

Lets Give Addy a big Thank You

Good job Addy, can't wait till next year. -
Nawton in Cramden Yads.

No he wasn't Murcie. Congrats to Jacksonville, they got a good one. Now I can stop my whining .

I am absolutely shocked Gerald Sensabaugh is falling this far. This is a safety at 6' 1/2 210 pounds, 4.46 40, 46 inch vertical leap and a very solid tackler. His coverage skills need some refinement because UNC had no pass rush in his year here, but he's an absolute diamond in the rough.

I believe the signing price and bonus are set for each round and selection. But occasionally a team can add a little more if its a special selection like Adrian or someone who is choosing between baseball and football. I could be wrong though.
-
Adrian to the Saints. He will learn under Aaron Brooks, thats a pretty good comparison for his game also.

Losman went to Tulane with Roydell Williams.

Cool, thanks for the info greasy, Woodson wasn't too bad :-).
-
Hey greasy if you are reading this, what do you think of Trai Essex? I saw he was from your area and thought I would ask, he's from NW so Danman or others could probably help me out also.

Whoever gets Sensebaugh is going to get a big steal. I'm hoping he lasts a few more picks to 131 for PIT.

Man, Arizona has had the best draft to me so far. Cleveland, Cincy, and the Ravens have also had awesome drafts.

Zo donates salary to charity
Palehosefan replied to southsider2k5's topic in A and J's Olde Tyme Sports Pub
I'm still not thrilled with Zo's departure from the Heat earlier. But he does show signs of being a good guy. Just sometimes like qwerty said, he is a major, major dickhead. -

Sportscenter Draft Special
Palehosefan replied to AddisonStSox's topic in A and J's Olde Tyme Sports Pub
Benson, outside of dreadlocks ant playing at UT, Benson is nothing like Ricky. Especially personality wise. Benson busts his ass off the field and has a great passion for football. I used to wonder about him also, but the latest ESPN Mag has a great article on him. He would be a solid pick, but I still like Cadillac more. Would someone post who they pick for Pitt whenever they get there? Thanks. -
Has Fraser's control improved enough to be a starter? If so, thats awesome, he could be a dang good one.

Players declaring for draft
Palehosefan replied to Palehosefan's topic in A and J's Olde Tyme Sports Pub
Pittsburgh PF/C, he was picked as possibly the 1st pick in the draft before the season started, but had a mediocre year and dropped his status to late lottery/1st like Zoom said. -
Daniel Snyder is under the impression he's the Yankees of the NFL. He wants to compete for this year alone, he can buy the players to compete in the future and trade them away for picks if need be. Problem is, every year they get new players that don't mesh together and don't get the season turned around until its over. He might be getting this pick to trade up this year, or maybe he's going to go after someone like Heath Miller to upgrade the TE position, who knows.

lol this stuff is great, the smoke stops and everyone is quiet. Now its slightly coming out, and more cheers. BELLS!

All I know is Duke better not win.

How into the draft are you?
Palehosefan replied to Spod=Ratings's topic in A and J's Olde Tyme Sports Pub
I usually watch the entire 1st round, then a little less of every succeeding round, and I just kind of keep an eye out for what the Steelers draft, and where any UNC or other players I'm interested in are going. -
I know you are supposed to, but do you honestly believe most athletes give their all every game? I know there are some great ones that you can honestly believe they are giving their all all the time. But most athletes drift through alot of games, just like alot of the workforce drifts through the day. Alot of athletes are the same way in my opinion, its just that VC made the giant mistake of admitting that to the media. I definitely don't respect him for that, but maybe thats one mistake and he can move on.
