  1. I think in this class its pretty clear right now that Josh McRoberts and Gerald Green are 1-2, and the rest of the top 10 is pretty much opinion based. You can have any of these guys in there. Monta Ellis Martell Webster Brandon Rush Andrew Bynum Louis Williams Tyler Hansbrough Richard Hendrix Mario Chalmers Tasmin Mitchell Julian Wright Andray Blatche Also, Andray Blatche has apparently already put his name into the hat for the draft. Not a suprise at all, thats why UNC backed off of him.
  2. Rivals does have Green rated much higher, so you have to give them credit for that. But otherwise they are pretty similar in their rankings after rechecking both lists. CJ Miles out of the top 25 is crazy for Rivals, and a few other problems. Its all speculation right now, who knows which one will be closer to being correct, we will see in 2-3 years. I like Rivals top 10 better than Scouts I will admit.
  3. I apologize for not having time right now to research Wisconsin, but you should be able to see this link and click on the names. http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=75&p=9&c=11&c...umn=RatingValue Here's some extra info on your very solid 2006 Center commit JP Gavinski, "Gavinski follows in-state stars Brian Butch and Greg Stiemsma to remain home and play for the Bo Ryan and the Badgers. Gavinski received interest from the likes of Marquette, Iowa, Washington State, Wake Forest, Michigan, Notre Dame, Iowa State, Illinois, Boston College and Kansas State. " "J.P. Gavinski – 6’10, Wisconsin Dells Prior to last night I had heard different reports on J.P.’s game, so I went in open minded and was impressed. He is left handed, but showed that he can hit the soft “baby hook” with either hand at will. Very soft touch and does know how to work for position under the boards, but needs to bulk up and add weight. He is a ‘young’ sophomore, so I am sure a weight and conditioning program could turn him into something special. He is the next "BIG" man to come out of Wisconsin after Brian Butch and Greg Stiemsma. " Trevon Hughes is a 6'3 4 star PG that could be a battle between the Illini and Wisconsin for his services.
  4. Farrior turned 30 in January, so he has some gas left in his tank. Also, the Steelers usually draft a LB/undersized DE in the 4th-5th round and plug them into the lineup. Now they have Larry Foote, James Harrison, and Alonzo Jackson waiting in the wings. But I would expect them to draft a LB a little earlier this year, but I really doubt in the 1st round. Others are predicting the Steelers will grab a TE in the 1st round, but I don't see that either. TE isn't used much in the offense, outside of blocking. You can find a good blocking TE later on in the draft. I really expect the Steelers to draft a CB in the 1st round, its a position of serious need, and its stocked full of talent this year.
  5. Since 2005 recruiting is all but wrapped up, I'll list some of the top players that are interested in the Illini in the 06 class, feel free to ask questions and I can research it. Here are 4 guys with high interest in Illinois, #4 SG Jon Scheyer, Duke lean? #4 C Ray Hall 4 star SG Marques Johnson About Marques, "Furthermore, the 22-point per game scorer said that he’ll likely take officials to Illinois, Georgetown and Oklahoma. The No. 1 Illini is definitely in the mix. “They’re one of my favorites,” Johnson said. “I spent a lot of time on their campus and I’m most familiar with them.” 4 star PF Josh Chichester , football recruit also, interest in OSU in football could be tough to overcome. Other guys that have interest in Illinois, 1 PG Mike Conley , pretty strong lean to WF right now though. 1 SF Thaddeus Young , apparent interest in about 10 schools, needs to shorten list. 4 PG Sherron Collins , Illini should be in great shape here, GT main foe. 6 SF Isaiah Dahlman A couple of others guys the Illini have apparent offers to. 4 star C Brian Carlwell , a possible early Illini commitment if offer is real, good looking prospect, solid big man without the likely NBA aspirations. 3 star PF Joevan Cotton , wouldn't be suprised with an early Illini commitment here if Illini really have offered, sometimes kids get mixed up in a real offer and intent to offer. If any of these require a subscription to view, I apologize. As always, the NBA will take their fair share of players, especially in this class, and other players will emerge over the summer to become big timers. But the Illini should be in very good shape with next years class. Rush would be a big help if he turns down the NBA, he could start right away as expressed before on here.
  6. IF the NBA age rule is put into place, Oden will be the most recruited player in college basketball history, it will be nuts. WF could be a darkhorse for Oden with his teammate Conley favoring Wake.
  7. You guys are still talking about the game? Its old news. Its Sox baseball time now! ps thanks for all the congrats.
  8. Just reattaching a photo from the past...
  9. lol Jordan, unfortunately my professors won't give me a chance to have any fun. I know wah wah wah , have tests all the rest of the week.
  10. Thats something I can agree 100% with. ITS WHITESOX BASEBALL TIME!
  11. Thanks guys, I know nothing I can say will help, but you guys have a tremendous team and an amazing season. Recruiting really builds off season's like this, you guys will be back. Especially in the 06 class which is loaded.
  12. Its not just you Rex, its crazy. But atleast it gives Sean a chance to rest, yipee right Illini fans?
  13. I would double down on May and make him pass out, take your chances with UNC from outside. Atleast its not automatic at all.
  14. Thanks on both posts Jordan! Here we go...
  15. lmao, right on! In all seriousness, good luck in the 2nd half, UNC all year had has long lapses that let other teams back into the game, and we haven't played a team of Illini's caliber all year, so don't give up yet.
  16. Yeah I understand, I let my emotions get the best of me alot. UNC did tear apart Roger and no call, that was bad. Also, don't lump recent UNC in with other elite programs, we haven't been here in 12 years.
  17. Refs taking control of the game, Manual with 3, Felton, Williams, and Augistine with 2 a peice. Let em play you morons, its an amazing matchup.
  18. I chose the biased UNC answer. As a neutral fan, it would be an impossible pick for me.
  19. lol, Felton was a good shooter in high school, but he had a funky angle with his elbow when shooting and somehow it didn't translate into the college game. But he changed his elbow to where its straight up and down instead of at an angle and took 600-700 shots a day during the summer, which thankfully translated into much better shooting this year from outside. He still has alot of work to do on FT's though at 69%.
  20. Classy post IK, I will do the same about not rubbing it in to anyone. Good luck to the Illini, you guys have a very classy program and a hell of a team. Here's to hoping this run will greatly improve your recruiting so you guys can be back many many more times in the future, I have a very hard time ever rooting against the Illini. Classy coach and great fans, great team play, whats not to like?

  22. I got it to work 1 time Rex, the rest of the time I just either run through and get tagged out without any kind of slide, or he does a headfirst slide. Its retarded.
