  1. I'm confused about some times I've heard. Guys on sportscenter were praising Madison Hedgecock(UNC's FB) for running a 4.55 40 in the same group as Clarett. But I've seen 4.85 listed on a site also. Alrighty then, I think I found my own answer. His first run was apparently 4.85, then his second was 4.55, he's gonna be a stud for someone. Big as a tight end and has the blocking skills of William Henderson.
  2. Yep a replacement for Burress if he's gone will be very important, it just depends how desperate the Raiders will be to dump Woodson on whether the Steelers will be involved.
  3. Steelers cleared a good amount of cap space recently with releasing Jay Reimersma and starting CB Chad Scott. So they could be interested in Woodson, but hopefully not at 10 million.
  4. Sorry I thought it would come across that it wasn't unreasonable, I just enjoy making fun of Bob Knight because he's a God here. Bob would have been banned from college basketball for good I'm sure if that incident came from him. Chaney has had his share of trouble in the past, but not quite to the extent of Knight.
  5. I don't think thats reasonable at all YASNY... You know as well as I do that Knight would have walked on the floor himself and broke the guys arm. By the way, we don't have "goons" at this fine, upstanding Texas Tech university. We have cowboys and alot of nervous farm animals.
  6. Atleast Chaney admits to it and doesn't praise his player for it. "DURHAM, N.C. (AP) -- In the first and likely only start of his career, Patrick Davidson set the emotional tone for Duke. He manhandled Wake Forest guard Chris Paul on the opening possession, bumping him wildly before a foul was called. He left the game after two minutes to a rousing ovation and got a warm embrace from Blue Devils coach Mike Krzyzewski, who left no doubts about how important this game was. 7. Hardly, Duke knew the play UNC was going to run and JJ simply didn't go under the pick, just stayed on top, not a great defensive play, just knew what was coming and stayed out.
  8. I would love to see which guy has the better tools. They are both amazing. From Perfect Game showcase. "Maybin was the top power hitter at the PG National and hit a tape measure 470’ shot (with a wood bat) in the Marietta Championships. He also runs a 6.4 60 yds and is presently ranked the #2 prospect in the nation behind Justin Upton (VA). Maybin finished 2nd to Jordan Danks (TX) in the AFLAC home run contest."
  9. I know its early, but who would you rather have right now with the 1st pick in the draft? Upton is said to be an upgrade even over his brother BJ, has 5 tools, some scouts think he should end up in CF where he has a strong but erratic arm. Maybin is also a 5 tool player at 6'3 200 pounds, scouts are comparing him to Ken Griffey Jr. Other scouts have said he has a stronger arm than Vlad at this stage in their careers, yikes. Oddly enough, he's Rashad McCants cousin. I don't think you can go wrong with either one and I know most will pick Upton, I just can't imagine turning down Maybin.
  10. I think it will help Troy Williamson because I've been touting that it would for a while now, don't fail me TROY!!! I think it will hurt Cedric Benson, I don't think his 40 time will be what people expect. Yes I know I'm out on a big limb, but we will see.
  11. Not even Michael Jackson could fit that much balls in his hands.
  12. I wouldn't expect any different. UNC fans would take Marvin Williams, Rashad McCants, Raymond Felton, and Sean May over JJ Redick. Just like Duke fans would take Shelden Williams, JJ Redick, and Satan their coach over anyone on UNC
  13. I'm not sure what he's referring to. But after Sweeney was drafted I don't think anyone here thought he would be ahead of where he is. Maybe he's referring to how well he did in spring training and relative to that a dissapointing year power wise last year. Otherwise it just doesn't make sense to me.
  14. lol another solid post. By the way, what the hell is a tarhole? Is that like a pothole that is covered in tar? If so, I'm very offended just so you know.
  15. Doesn't make much sense to me. Kings got rid of a talented player with a bad contract in return for less talented players with bad contracts of their own. Thomas' contract doesn't run out until 09-10 I believe and Williamson after 06-07 season. Yikes.
  16. Yep he got invited to the Mickey D's game today also, Bama got a very good one.
  17. UNC wanted Hendrix BADLY, he took forever to make his mind up between the two also. In the end his family's wants won out in wanting to see him play. He's an Elton Brand type player, 6'7 thick PF with great hands and rebounding ability. He doesn't have Elton's athletic ability, but he's one of the top 5 players in his class regardless. I don't think he will enter the draft out of high school, he's only 6'7-6'8 tops and doesn't have the athleticism the NBA is looking for.
  18. lol you don't have to worry about me getting offended, I don't take anything on this board seriously outside of UNC losing. Even that I'm trying to work on. There's not really a great comparison as we can see, just bits and pieces of people's game.
  19. I'm glad you get offended so easy. Especially when you didn't even read a post 3 posts above yours that agreed with you. I already said...
  20. I guess you didn't read my posts above either, I'm debunking people comparing him to Jordan, Iverson, and Allen also. But Rip is a .300 career 3 point shooter, so yeah I am saying he has a bad outside shot. Not to mention Rip has as much stamina as anyone in the NBA with his contant motion through picks. Ben is a more 1 on 1 type talent compared to Rip using his teammates all the time.
  21. lol not sure if that was a joke but Rip is 4 inches taller, has a bad outside shot, and isn't much of a run and jump athlete.
  22. Yikes, basically you are saying he's the best player of all time, or the potential to be. AI is a unique player, like qwerty said a first ballot HOF'er, to even have the speed of Iverson is a major, major gift. But to top it off with his handle and scoring ability, its just not fair. Ray Allen is arguably the best shooter in the NBA right now, thats not really fair either. Ben Gordon is an explosive offensive player, but he turns the ball over too much right now, which can be correctable, and his defense leaves something to be desired. Both can be fixed in time, but I'm not sure he compares to another NBA player right now. Jason Terry is somewhat a comparision, but Gordon is more athletic and less of a PG than Terry. They are both SG's in PG's bodies and excellent outside shooters. Basically he has his own style.
  23. Paul Hewitt is really tarnishing his image with his teams horrible play. I couldn't have even fathomed GT not even making the tourney this year, now its a big possibility. You could exchange the Charmin bear for Luke Schenser and the only difference would be the australian accent. GT could be renamed Jarret Jack and the stiffs. Oh and JJ Redick gave Muhammed a forearm and a "f*** you" on national tv and Vitale says only "OHHHH its a wrestling match". I can't imagine what announcers would have said if it was McCants. Oh and JJ "The best shooter of all time" was 5-15 tonight, but again no mention of that. Awesome.
