  1. Yeah I thought his comments about why the low ranking were peculiar also. Thats like saying, "she was hot and had a great personality, but I've seen her use the bathroom". Of course DJ runs around some blocks, every LB has to, otherwise you will be taken out of the play and be useless. Especially when you have the kind of speed he has. If you are Levon Kirkland and trying to run around blocks, that a different story. DJ is going to have to shed some blocks, and I'm sure he will be just fine doing that.
  2. Actually Crimson, there are several definitions of know. Here is one. That is my definition of know in the sentence I used. If a definition of know is to actually talk to and engage with the person/deity, then how can anyone possibly question his word or his existence. Therefore, there wouldn't be any need of a question of if he exists or if we should follow his word. Like I said, its not one of my main reasons for belief, just a small nugget of knowledge that confirms my belief. I can know God in that definition of know above and still end up that it was just voices in my head and alot of smoke and mirrors. Do I believe that? No way.
  3. Thats definitely a "different" list than most. I like alot of the choices me makes, but some are just odd to me. Like this for example... He's saying he's a good run defense DT and can also put pressure on a QB. Do those grow on trees or something? I just don't see Cody being that high on the list, even though he along with David Pollack should have been on my sweethearts list for their work ethic over pure skill. Thats VERY high praise for any safety, basically stating he's a bigger version of arguably the best safety in the NFL. I don't see it, but its just my opinion. I truly think Rodney Pool is a better safety prospect. As an aside, the more I read about Brandon Browner, the more I like him. A dominant man coverage 6-4 corner is a truly special thing to have, especially with the receivers getting bigger and bigger.
  4. Vikings have to be ecstatic. They added a very solid LB and could end up drafting a high impact receiver like Mike Williams, and adding another decent player with the late pick. Raiders now created another hole on their team at LB instead of fixing a hole at RB through the draft. They now have too many WR's and a new hole at LB to go with the RB, QB, and OL holes, congrats.
  5. lol, If Jah didn't love I (love I), If I didn't love I (love I), If Jah didn't love I (love I), If I didn't love I, Would I be around today? Would I be around to say:
  6. I don't even know if robbed is enough for this trade. First of all WHY for the Raiders. They already have a good set of young receivers coming into their own, second of all WHY give up a top 10 pick, a very nice young LB, and another draft pick? Was someone else honestly going to give up anything close to that? I don't get it.
  7. Speaking of the Heat, according to ESPNInsider, the Heat are very close to acquiring Steve Smith from the Bobcats. Apparently looking for some instant offense off the bench and maybe another clubhouse leader on a young laden team. Either that or Eddie Jones is getting lonely in the "aged, declining, SG role"
  8. I'm hoping its just a slight sprain of a ligament and it gives more incentive to sign Alonzo. If it truly ends up being a ligament tear of some kind, that could spell doom for Shaq's career for a while. I can't imagine the weight he would/could gain back if he can't workout at all.
  9. Exactly what I was looking for in responses. Anyone can makeup what they feel is wrong or right, its alot easier that way to not feel so bad about doing it. There's no reason a person without God should be considered a bad person for that, thats ignorance if anyone feels that way. Thats awesome that you consider yourself a good person even without fear of hell. But whats so infantile about the threat of hell to keep you on the right path? How is that any different than the law saying "don't break the law or we will lock you up or even execute you"? People want to sin/break the law by nature, if you aren't like that then you must be a truly special person. I know I personally have bad urges all the time and sometimes give in unfortunately. It would be great if people were good by nature and didn't need law or forgiveness, but do you truly feel we are like that? I understand your view, you are a good person because you choose to be, not because someone is forcing you to be, but unfortunately most people aren't like that. I agree 100%. Part of my belief in God is based on this question, would I rather know God and find out he doesn't exist when I die, or would I rather not know God and find out he did exist all along when I die? I have no consequence with the first part of the question except with possibly a more bland life. The second part of the question wouldn't be pretty as infantile as it may be...
  10. I don't know a ton about LJ, but from what I can gather, he's 6-6 335 pounds and is in his prime, he's started probably 90+% of his teams games and done a nice job. Arizona hasn't had a good rushing average during his tenure, but that can't be all attributed to just him. A good OL for a good RB is always going to be a good trade in my opinion, RB has more value, but when you have McGahee starting already you might as well make other parts of your team stronger with parts that are sparable. Good deal for both teams if it happens.
  11. Mickey D's rosters are going to be announced to the public today on ESPN news. From what I've heard, these are the schools with the most. UNC 3, Duke 3, Kansas 3, Okl State 2, and Washington 2 have 13 of the 24 players in the game. Apparently Washington's first 2 Mickey D's players ever and Okl St had only one before I believe.
  12. Its not neccessarily because of what men have between their legs, its the sin that is created from where that thing dangling between their legs goes. Basically its a slap in God's face using his gift of marriage in the bible to commit sins. But, I also believe alot of homosexuals are born with those feelings and can't really help it. What are they supposed to do? Live a miserable alone life full of miscellaneous partners? There are plenty of heterosexual married couples that commit that same sin as noted above and are just as much in the wrong. I can see both sides of the present day culture argument. Yes we are more advanced with racism, women's rights, and personal rights. Yet, while we are becoming more and more accepting of women's right's, different races, personal right's etc, we are also becoming more and more acceptant of sin and that scares the crap out of me. I read something that like 80% of men look at porn while online and its becoming pretty much normal. Where do personal rights stop and sin/unlawfullness begin? That line is trying to become more and more blurred. Basically we are free to swing our elbows as long as it doesn't hurt our neighbor, unless that neighbor is God, then we just ignore him or buy him a bandaid once in a while and say we are sorry. Human created law apparently pre-empts God's law now. I don't have a problem with people having fun, swing those bows, just be wary of God's nose because at the end of the night, you could be going home with the wrong person for eternity. I'm running out of bandaid's.
  13. Thanks for the response Rex. I view Mike Davis as a similar situation that Matt Doherty was in. They both got high major jobs without any or much experience, both started off really well, both had problems coaching young, talented teams. In Doherty's case he had a few attitude problems, not sure if Davis shares that part also or not. But eventually Doherty just didn't do as well as people thought he could just missing the tourney by 1-2 games. As an outsider, I think Davis is doing a very nice job recruiting and should have a very strong team next year. I would let him stay on another year with a good finish like you said, then again, the job would be even more attractive with such a good team likely returning next year. By the way, funny picture, this was one of the non-fouls against Sean May. http://media.scout.com/Media/Image/20/201828.jpg
  14. Thats what doesn't make any sense about Duncan being that high on the list to me.
  15. lol yeah I'm not really worried at all. He already turned down a guaranteed lottery spot from Seattle last year to get his education. He's a different kind of kid, he truly cares about his education above anything else. He's gonna be a special, special player in the NBA. Roy Williams has spoken to him several times about next year focusing Marvin in the SF position to get him ready for the position in the NBA. He's the least of my worries about heading for the NBA early. I expect Ray and Rashad to leave early and Sean and Marv to return, atleast thats the inside word for a while now.
  16. Don't worry about it. I'm suprised by the stuff I miss while visiting this site everyday even.
  17. Thats a pretty high ranking for a guy thats gonna be 25 in like half a month. I'm sure somebody can explain to me how Eric Duncan is a top 20 prospect and Ryan Sweeney doesn't even belong on the list. Its not like Sweeney was at the same level and putting up better numbers while being younger than Duncan is it?
  18. Here's the original thread that had made its way to page 5. Pretty incredible stuff. http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=29432
  19. Thanks for all the responses. UNC could have an ugly game tonight playing at arch rival NC State with their slown down Princeton wannabe style. McCants could be out with the flu though and Marvin Williams has a turf toe that could bother him the rest of the season.
  20. I've got some questions. For Indiana fans, what do you guys think you have to do to get into the tourney sitting at 12-11 with 4 games left and the Big Ten tourney? Do you think you have to win out and win 2 games in the tourney? Would 3 of 4 wins to end the year and 2 wins in the Big Ten tourney be enough? Is there much hope for Mike Davis with no tourney? For Illinois fans, are you guys nervous at all about playing at Ohio State to end the season or are you comfortable that you will be undeafeated until the Big Ten tourney atleast? For Heads or GHC, does ISU have an affinity for "playground" players like Curtis Stinson and Jamal Tinsley? Do they actually recruit at Rucker park? I think its pretty cool when you can find flashy talent like that that can also get it done enough in the classroom.
  21. Did I say they should? Nope. I was explaining why it was there in the first place, I didn't know any sound was with it, none showed up on the Flash. I apologize to everyone for the annoyance.
  22. Yeah just saw that. I think its better now. Tell me if its not.
