  1. Maddox is a pretty solid QB as long as he has protection. He can't run if his life depended on it. But if you do give him time, he will give you a good passing game. Definitely bettern than Hutchinson, because Maddox has proven himself already.
  2. Yep that was it. That divided the school for a long time.
  3. My sister and her husband attended Clemson. They were 1 and 2 in the English department at graduation. I've visited Clemson before, it has tons and tons of trees, but its a very nice campus in my opinion. In college football, Kansas State is a running joke academically, they let anyone in, even Juco transfers with horrible GPA's and low SAT's. But I'm looking at both colleges on the US News rankings. Here are the results. US News ranks them into 3 tiers. The higher the better. Clemson is in tier 1 and the 74th overall college. K-State is in the 3rd tier, but its cheaper, and there are plenty of pretty good schools in the 3rd tier of the rankings. About Clemson, http://www.usnews.com/usnews/edu/college/d..._3425_brief.php About KState, http://www.usnews.com/usnews/edu/college/d..._1928_brief.php If you can afford it, Clemson is the better school overall. But I'm not sure about the specific fields you are looking into. Sorry I can't be of more help.
  4. Injuries don't happen often, but its still a risk to stay another year. Not to mention if Norm Chow leaves, that could make Leinart look a little worse this year. One plus I see is that this QB class is pretty well stocked and next years class isn't anything special at this point.
  5. Public HS life is just so much fun. At my old high school we had several gang fights with stabbings and 50+ people brawls. We had a kid steal a truck at lunch and had the cops chase him back into the school parking lot right in front of me. We had a "prep" run over with his car and kill a "freak" in the parking lot when I was a freshmen, that made national news. Just fun stuff... :rolly
  6. Depending on what offense he ends up in at the NFL, he could have more talent at USC than the NFL team. I still think he should go while his stock is so high.
  7. Here is my list, its different than most peoples or gurus. 1. Cadillac Williams, Auburn (just love him, think he will be special) 2. Ronnie Brown, Auburn (best RB athlete in draft) 3. Cedric Benson Texas (lower than most people, still not completely sold on him) 4. Ciatrick Fason, Florida *(very good athlete, could impress at combines) 5. Eric Shelton, Louisville * (huge back with great speed for his size, heck of a power back) 6. Vernand Morency, Oklahoma St. * (older than most, but is a very nice athlete) 7. DeAngelo Williams, Memphis * (not sold on him either) 8. Ryan Moats, Louisiana Tech * (unheralded, but has great work ethic, thats why I like him alot) 9. J.J. Arrington, California (even at Cal, he's unheralded, very fast and could move up at the combines) 10. Frank Gore, Miami (FL) * (if he runs a 4.5 40 at combines, he will move up alot) 11. Cedric Houston, Tennessee (unheralded Tenn back, can't count out Tenn RB's) 12. T.A. McLendon, North Carolina St. * (WAY too many injuries for my liking, has amazing balance for a big back though, can he ever stay healthy?) 13. Maurice Clarett, Ohio St. * (who knows what will show up at the combine, could be a 230 pound 4.65 back, or could amaze everyone and show up running a 4.5 40.) 14. Lionell Gates, Louisville ( very good speed for a big back, could move up at comibes also) 15. Anthony Davis, Wisconsin (will he ever be able to block ANYONE? Speed coaches will love him, QB's will hate him)
  8. I'll put together my list of QB's since you spoke of yours AddisonSt, by the way, great idea on this seperate board, I like to ramble about draft stuff when I'm bored and have time also. Here's my QB list. 1. Matt Leinart USC 2. Alex Smith Utah 3. Aaron Rodgers Cal 4. Charlie Frye Akron 5. Andrew Walter ASU 6. Kyle Orton Purdue 7. Jason Campbell Auburn 8. Dan Orlovsky UConn 9. Derek Anderson Oregon State 10. David Greene Georgia 11. Adrian McPherson (AFL) 12. Gino Guidugli Cinci 13. Stefan Lefors Louisville 14. Stan Hill Marshall 15. Chris Rix FSU 16. Jason White OU
  9. That is what makes UNC and Illinois so great. They are both great passing teams and have the athletes to finish off the assists. Both teams are averaging over 20 assists a game, UNC at 22.1 and Illinois at 20.1, that will more than get it done.
  10. These are my picks. Steelers over Jets Colts over Patriots Eagles over Minnesota Falcons over Rams Then even further Steelers over Colts Falcons over Eagles Steelers over Falcons for it all. I wouldn't be suprised at all though to see Peyton carry the Colts all the way.
  11. I noticed no threads here yet, so I thought I would add one. Here is my list of the top player at each position in the draft and 1 wildcard that could take over the 1st spot at the combines etc. QB. Matt Leinart USC WC. Alex Smith Utah(if arm is strong enough in combines he should compete for #1 pick spot) RB. Cedric Benson Texas WC. Cadillac Williams Auburn (not much a wildcard, but I just love his style) FB. Zach Tuiasosopo WSU WC. Kyle Eckel, if the Navy shortens his service WR. Mike Williams USC/none WC. Troy Williamson South Carolina(could end up top WR if his height 6'2 and 4.4 40 times prove themselves in the combine) TE. Heath Miller UVA WC. Kevin Everett Miami OT. Alex Barron FSU WC. Marcus McNeil Auburn OG. David Baas Mich WC. Elton Brown UVA C. Ben Wilkerson LSU WC. Jason Brown UNC DE. Erasmus Jones WC. David Pollack DT. Rodrique Wright WC. Haloti Ngata Oregon(freak of nature, ? on entering draft yet) OLB. Derrick Johnson WC. Not really one,I think Johnson is the best player in draft but Demarcus Ware Troy State MLB. Channing Crowder UF WC. Odell Thurman UGA (best hitter in draft in my opinion) CB. Antrelle Rolle Miami(move to safety in his future?) WC. Justin Miller Clemson S. Thomas Davis UGA WC. Rodney Pool OU
  12. No I didn't expect him at UNC lol, I just can't stand fat Phil Fulmer. He's way overdue for an NCAA investigation :-). I just can't stand them.
  13. The only thing that bothers me about Peyton is that he seems similar to Tiger Woods. In that it seems his whole life is about the sport they play, with Tiger all he talks about is golf this and golf that, same way with Peyton and football. It was nice to see that commercial add a little more to the public's persona of Peyton's personality. That and Peyton went to Tennessee :puke
  14. The question is would it be worth it to draft a kicker in the top 3 rounds? Or would you rather give Edinger another chance or sign another kicker? Thats a tough decision. Unless the Bears don't have alot of needs and can afford to draft a kicker that early, I don't know the Bears strengths and weaknesses very well.

    I'm Bored

Thanks alot, my mind was sharp today for once. Then I read this thread and I'm back to normal.
  16. I don't think you can argue right now that Kansas has more offensive balance. Illinois has 5 players that are averaging 10 or more points a game. Kansas barely has 4 if you round up with Miles at 9.7 a game. Illinois is also beating Kansas in every offensive category from ppg, assists, FG%, FT%, and even 3 point%. Kansas is a very solid team, but until JR Giddens figures out he's much more than a jump shooter and the freshmen big men get more experience, Kansas is very vulnerable.
  17. It was just payback for Jawad Williams freshmen year. Jawad is from MD and MD just destroyed a horrible UNC team, Gary Williams never let up. This was a long time coming.
  18. His name was Everette Brown. Bobby Bowden had an in home with him and pretty much forced him to commit or lose a place at FSU. Its good recruiting tactics, just irritates the hell out of me. UNC was sitting very well with him. They are also after another top 5 NC linebacker in Derek Nicholson who's brother plays at FSU, his name is AJ Nicholson. Their father played at UNC, so its still a fight, but I think he's FSU's to lose also unfortunately. They always raid NC for a top 5 player in the state.
  19. Right now its "Better Version" by Shinedown thats my favorite.
  20. Thats awesome and yeah Cameron Sexton is his name. He's gonna be a very good one, he's hosting his good friend a top 10 TE this weekend on an official visit, so that should be good. As for applying to UNC, if you are out of state its very, very tough. I've heard of 1350 SAT kids getting turned down. But it can definitely be done, so good luck with it. You would enjoy being surrounded by 70% females , atleast I would.
  21. Sorry I didn't see this until now. But yes I follow just about all UNC sports and I explained my Carolina affiliation in your pm. I love almost everything about UNC, from Franklin Street to Laurie Dhue .
  22. That is a great article, but Whitlock confuses the heck out of me. Its like he has multiple personalities, one minute he's throwing the race card around, then the next he's bashing as many black players as he can. Sometimes its just ignorance and hatred that he writes, other times its informative stuff thats great to read. I never know what to expect from him.
  23. I would have to say Bobby Simmons right now. He's averaging 8 more points, 1.3 more rebounds, and 1.1 more assists a game this year. Granted he is getting 13 more minutes a game, but I still picked him.
  24. Roethlisberger was 22nd in the NFL in passing with over 2600 yards with 17 td's and 11 int's in only 13 games started. He completed over 66% of his passes with 43 passes of over 20 yards and 7 passes of over than 40 yards. Ben averaged 8.88 yards per attempt which is more than Duante Culpepper who led the league in passing yards. Ben is the only QB in the top 27 that threw less than 300 attempts. He has great touch on his passes, great spirals. He's a special one.
