By the way Cheat, if you don't mind me asking about the two 5 star commits? Is it two OL's? -
Big Ben's wins: Rookie honor

Also, don't forget Sean Taylor in the defensive ROY, he had 76 tackles, 4 interceptions, and a sack. -
Big Ben's wins: Rookie honor

Ben was anything but a handoff specialist. He made all kinds of plays with his feet throwing downfield. He was just amazing, he has good athleticism that he uses to move around in the pocket and find someone downfield. Normally young athletic QB's just use their athleticism to run instead of buying more time to throw downfield. He is something special. He was blessed to be playing behind the Steelers line and with some good RB's, but the Steelers would probably be something like 10-6, 9-7 without him. He just makes good things happen with his arm and his legs. -

Yep, Iowa is having a dominant class. As is Purdue, both are doing very very well. Its scary to think about what Iowa can do with top 10 recruiting classes. -

Recruiting is always fun to see who is going where and to see how good your school will be in the future. Its always been my favorite part, I love watching college football also. Unless you recruit at en elite level then its tough to become an elite team, outside of Iowa. -

Now its onto the best part, recruiting USC will continue to dominate there also. -
A very large explosive device like a nuclear weapon could cause immense damage if placed in the right fault line. Hopefully they never figure that out.

I was going to come on here and talk about my great improvement. But now I'm back below .500 with tonights two losses.

Just be glad he doesn't treat his coaches like he treats his wife...

Yeah don't worry about it. It can still be done if you get some good contacts. NBADraft.net has some decent contacts, but for the most part your guess is as good as theirs.

BaseballAmerica.com does a mock draft of the first 30-45 players every year and scouting reports on the top 200 or so. With tid-bits about thousands of other draft candidates scattered about in their state rankings. TeamOneBaseball.com used to do a very similar thing but I'm not sure if they will continue doing so. Its alot tougher to find baseball scouting reports online than basketball, football etc, alot more people see the other college sports on tv and can form their opinion. Baseball is half high school in which only scouts get to see alot of the players and are privy to the information. So it would be tough to formulate a website on the stuff without alot of scout contacts. Even then its a guessing game for the most part.

Yankees not alone in owing luxury tax
Palehosefan replied to greasywheels121's topic in A and J's Olde Tyme Sports Pub
I'm also in favor of a salary cap. Football is amazingly balanced due to the cap, its a great sport to watch because any team can pop up and win in almost any year. Baseball you know the Yankees, Red Sox, etc are always going to be there because they don't have to rebuild, just re-load. Other teams have to hire a baseball genius as a GM just to compete. I wouldn't mind the cap being somewhere around 100-120 million, which would mostly hurt the Yankees, but it would also free up FA's to come to other teams instead of always signing with the Yankees and could create parity. I'm also in favor of a baseball floor, or a minimum salary for teams. It would make owners that aren't interested in having their team compete for championships either sell the team or dish out the money. They could make the minimum salary for a team at something around 40 million. -
You never know where a faultline might be that wasn't discovered before. I'm in the panhandle of Texas and a few years ago we actually had 5 earthquakes in one summer. Nobody ever realized earthquakes could or would hit here. They were small, but I actually felt one of them, made my dogs go nuts before it hit.

I agree as long as Butch Davis doesn't take over at LSU, if he does, I don't think they will miss a beat. -
Hey we have our own little retarded 2-3 bowl pickers club going.
-
MAN that sucks, he was one of my favorite people. Great guy, loved life. He will really be missed.

Aww crap, don't make me have to actually respect a Duke fan now Rowand Duke is never going to be a cake walk with K at the helm, you play great defense and always have outside shooting. But the no respect thing was just hilarious so I had to chime in of course.

Redick 41% FG 39% 3PT McCants 49% FG 43% 3PT So by your standards that must make McCants the best shooter in history?

Vick signs massive extension
Palehosefan replied to chimpy2121's topic in A and J's Olde Tyme Sports Pub
Vick will improve each and every year that he learns the WC system better. Falcons already locked up Vick's main target Crumpler for a long time and now have Vick locked up. Now they just gotta get him more weapons and let him mature. -
Call me when K breaks .500 against UNC. Pretty sad when your all-time great coach isn't even over .500 against their biggest rivals isn't it? Its gotta be tough knowing your team is 30 games under .500 against your biggest rivals and that Mr. #1 recruit in the nation Shav isn't 1/10th the player that McCants is, whatever.

Yep farmteam it was at Duke. If you want to see a funny website about Duke, look at this one. http://www.truthaboutduke.com

Guys it honestly doesn't even deserve a response, so many things wrong with it. Don't waste your time. Duke has played... Tenn. Martin Davidson UNC-Greensboro Michigan State Valporaiso Toledo Ill. Chicago Oklahoma Only Oklahoma and Valpo were played outside of NC. If you haven't figured it out yet, coach K racks up victories by playing cupcakes and everyone at home or on neutral courts. There is a recent story about Lute Olsen in talks with Duke about a home and home series, but Duke requested the game for Arizona's home game be on a neutral court. Lute told them to go fly a kite. Its hilarious stuff. K is praised and praised, yet nobody questions their schedule and the places they play. Duke only losing 2 in the ACC, hilarious. I don't even know why I responded.
