  1. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Feb 8, 2011 -> 08:25 AM) And the Des Moines Register is reporting Marquette has no interest. Looks like we've got our point guard for 2012-2013. So what is Iowa State missing for 2012-2013? A bank robber at SF?
  2. QUOTE (lostfan @ Feb 6, 2011 -> 11:11 PM) Bears fans are going to talk about how Troy and LeBeau should retire and Ben will never be a good QB again? Don't know if you are serious or not, but Steeler's fans are just unbearably stupid for whatever reason. Hard for me to even find a few that are reasonable and actually understand the game.
  3. QUOTE (danman31 @ Feb 7, 2011 -> 01:13 AM) How is Capel even mentioned for a job? OU is a train wreck. Quietly, UNC is 7-1 in the ACC. I knew they were playing better (and yes I know the ACC isn't that good), but 7-1 is pretty legit. With all that talent, and ultimately a young team, it makes sense they're turning it around. Plus people probably overreacted to losses to good teams in the non-con. I sure wouldn't want to play them in March. There was major, major chemistry issues the last two years. But thankfully that was fully corrected a few days ago when Larry Drew departed. His entire family was a headcase, his mom used to call Roy demanding playing time or being upset when Roy was talking to John Wall. Every summer he would leave the school to go home and train with his Dad, and it never ever helped. Funny stuff. Funniest part is that his Dad said this was the classy way to leave(as in daddy calling Roy to tell him his son was transferring, and little Drew just got his stuff in the night and slipped out without telling anyone). Then Kendall Marshall comes in with his first full game and records 16 assists. He is a ton of fun to watch, haven't seen a passer like him since Jason Kidd.
  4. Now I get to read from the dumbest fan base in the NFL about how Troy and Dick Lebeau should retire and Ben will never be a good QB again.
  5. QUOTE (mr_genius @ Feb 6, 2011 -> 09:09 PM) Aaron Rodgers is real good Yep, he's one of the elite. Ben proved again that he's not. Ben and Troy completely disappeared in yet another super bowl.
  6. The better team and QB won the game, not much to it.
  7. QUOTE (fathom @ Feb 6, 2011 -> 07:14 PM) When's Fergie mic was out at the beginning, it was the best she's ever sounded! Ha, I said the exact same thing to my wife.
  8. Not sure about this matchup. GB was about the worst matchup possible. Steelers have weak tackles, weak center, and a poor secondary outside of Polamalu. Could get ugly.
  9. QUOTE (fathom @ Feb 4, 2011 -> 06:09 PM) Add him to the conversation I had earlier about minority coaches!! Also, Trent Johnson has done a TERRIBLE job at LSU. You think anyone will actually write an article about this consistent phenomenon? I'm not holding my breath. Whitlock is the best bet, and I don't even think he will touch it.
  10. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Feb 4, 2011 -> 08:23 PM) If we are talking about fantasy basketball then I guess we have to consider Kevin Love a top 5 player. But since I dont care about who is the best fantasy basketball player, here are 5 players that Id take before Wade: Lebron, Rose, Durant, Melo, Howard, CP III and Kobe Kobe's age/durability are also a concern, but given his size/strength Id still take him this season over Wade. Just my opinion, but not sure how you can look at the top 10-15 or so players and say which 5 are definitely the top 5. Which is why the argument is so hilarious, because people are acting like there is a clear cut top 5, when there really is not. Depends if you are talking about present or future. However, either way you just can't take Carmelo over Wade. Wade shoots a much higher percentage, is a better passer, and is a much better defender. I don't see how anyone can honestly say Carmelo is a top ten NBA player anymore. As for Kobe vs. Wade, you can flip a coin. Both can score with anyone, Kobe is a good on-ball defender, and Wade is a good team defender. They both belong in the top 4 players in the league for now. I think there's a pretty clear top 5 of LeBron, Durant, Wade, Kobe, and Howard. I think you will see Rose in the top 5, but I think it's a year away, and I think he will take Kobe's place.
  11. Well there goes the neighborhood. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/playoffs/201...tory?id=6090999
  12. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Feb 3, 2011 -> 07:55 PM) I dunno some guy named Lebron James with Durant as my SF? Hard to take anyone over Wade so far this year. He's having a tremendous year. 25.7 ppg, 6.8 rpg, 4.2 apg, 50% FG, 1.41 spg, 1.02 bpg
  13. I dunno, wasn't the worst thing I have heard. Then again I have heard Silversun Pickups and Arcade Fire.
  14. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jan 31, 2011 -> 08:17 PM) Troy is the defensive MVP not the player of the year imo, if that makes sense. I agree. That would be James Harrison.
  15. QUOTE (Brian @ Jan 31, 2011 -> 07:39 PM) I accidentally posted this in Super Bowl thread. No way he should of won over Matthews. Their stats are very close. The Steelers have the worst secondary in the NFL without Troy. The difference he makes in games is tremendous. He is the greatest NFL player I have ever had the joy of watching.
  16. Freddy's dealer must be in NY. Getting a little lazy in his old age.
  17. QUOTE (zenryan @ Jan 26, 2011 -> 10:24 PM) TT and UNC win for you tonight. Nice night. I hate Frank Haith. I wondered how long he is going to keep his job. He always has athletic teams that should be playing better than they do. It's never fun having to play Miami or FSU, because you know there is a ton of athletes, but they aren't coached well.
  18. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jan 26, 2011 -> 07:03 AM) You're going down tonight, PHF. Oh yes we are!
