Urban going to Florida
Palehosefan replied to HuskyCaucasian's topic in A and J's Olde Tyme Sports Pub
Jeff Tedford, but I can't see him leaving Cal for ND. At Cal he gets to recruit a great area, and he gets all the Juco's he wants with Cal's huge juco school system. -

Butch Davis is the best option for ND, he was awesome at Miami, brilliant recruiter and ran a clean program. He actually cleaned up Miami's image, from talented thugs to mainly just talented players. -
Urban going to Florida

Butch Davis has great contacts in Florida and turned around Miami's program, and Meyer had an outclause specifically for ND, yet it could turn out Davis ends up at ND, and Meyer at Florida, how weird. -

We are gonna have to see about that. Urban has an out clause in his contract ONLY for ND, in that Urban would owe Utah nothing if the ND job opened and he wanted to take it. I wouldn't hold my breath on anywhere but ND, not even Florida. We will see whether or not this story is true, if it is, ND has a huge blackeye from Florida. http://www.jacksonville.com/tu-online/stor...col_meyer.shtml -
He won't ever admit to it, I don't even know if he would in front of a Grand jury. But I can always hope.

This is an older joke but I find it hilarious.....

lol man that had me crying from laughing so hard. Thanks for posting it. -
The day Sammy gets busted will be the greatest day ever, this is pretty close for me. To say I despise both of them would be the ultimate understatement.

Pavano stated in ESPN the magazine that he would love to be tutored by a seasoned vet, as he never had that opportunity in Montreal or Florida, I don't really see anyone on the Tigers staff that can do that. I expect him to end up in Boston, would be shocked if he lands anywhere else.

Yeah I understand what they are doing with the free names and passwords for newspapers, thats a very annoying thing to have to do to read something. I'm just hoping bugmenot never goes into allowing subscription names and passwords to be allowed. I've seen a few websites I read and subscribe to threaten lawsuits against the other for information others posted that was pay material. Getting around free sign-ups is a cool thing that bugmenot did, I hope they stick with that. -

I can understand to get around newspaper registration, but if they have moved on to free subscriptions they are in big trouble. None of the logins working gives me reason to think maybe they haven't yet. -
I like it with some nutmeg on top. Just can't drink too much of it.

Wow I wouldn't want to be the owners of that website, its wide open to several lawsuits. -
No problem there, anytime you have a question, feel free to ask.

Its illegal to post the entire article and I don't want to get Soxtalk in trouble, so I will post a summary if thats cool. http://proxy.espn.go.com/nba/columns/story...chad&id=1936780 Trade Tyson Chandler. Talks about to the Nuggets for Nene Hilario and Voshon Lenard or to the Clippers for Chris Wilcox and Zeljko Rebraca, or to the Sixers for Samuel Dalembert and Kenny Thomas, bulls would throw in Othella Harrington also to make it work under the cap. Trade Eddy Curry. To the Warriors for Mickael Pietrus and Andris Biedrins, to the Sonics with Othella Harrington, Piatkowski for a combo of Nick Collison, Ronald Murray, Vladimir Radmonivic, and Jerome James. Or to the Grizzlies for Bonzi Wells. Trade Ben Gordon, says this is the tough call. Says if both Step 1 and 2 go through the Bulls will be weak frontcout wise and would trade Gordon for help. Talks about Gordon, Frank Williams to Clippers for Wilcox, Rebraca, and Clips 1st pick. Bring back Kukoc as a mentor to the team. Says team would end up with Hinrich, Pietrus, Deng, Wilcox, and Nene would be starters with Duhon, Piatkowski, Nocioni, Kukoc, Biedrins, and Davis would be the backups. Then states they need to stick to a plan. Hope that helps. -
Rex, Ben is a huge lefty QB with lots of athleticism and arm strength. He was the number 1 QB recruit in the nation a few years ago, 6'5 200 pounds 4.65 40, and when he was originally recruited he was only interested in West coast schools. His other 3 finalists as a senior were Stanford, UCLA, and USC. I could see him ending up at any of those schools, but I would also think Oregon, California, and Arizona State. If I had to bet, I would bet on either UCLA, or Arizona State. Steve Spurrier at SC is a darkhorse here, he was moderately interested in SC even without Spurrier. Michigan is in it very well for Antonio Bass, a 6'2 4.4 QB ranked #4 in the nation, along with Michigan State. I don't know of any QB's that are commited to Mich though, wouldn't be suprised if Henne as a freshmen is scaring off alot of prospects. Also I'll gladly trade my recruiting knowledge for your minor league knowledge. As for Portis, he's a soft verbal to Utah, meaning that he is taking other visits also, but I wouldn't be suprised if he followed Meyer to ND, even if he's saying he won't right now.

Something else very interesting, Iowa is well on their way to a top 20 recruiting class, you have seen what they can do with 40+ recruiting classes, will be very interesting to see with this kind of talent coming in. 12 commits averaging 3.41 stars, thats an awesome class. UNC had top 20 classes with average star ratings right around 3.
-
lol SORRY. Josh Portis is currently a verbal to Utah, but alot of speculation that he would follow Meyer to ND, also Greg Paulus has shown alot of interest lately in reneging on his Duke PG commitment to play QB at ND. He's a top 25 basketball player, but a top 2 QB, he's amazing on the gridiron. ND also has a commitment already from Even Sharpley who is a top 15 QB, I wouldn't think he would back out of it with Meyer at the helm, though its possible. Would be interesting to see the WR recruits as well that show alot of interest in ND with Meyer.
-
It wasn't me, but I can provide some also, just give me a sec. I can't find specific links, but I do know top 10 QB's Greg Paulus, and Josh Portis would be VERY interested in attending ND with Meyer.

I'm happy too, UNC's trainers even had fouls called on them tonight, Melvin Scott was injured for most of the game, Jackie Manual and David Noel played with their heads in their asses and UNC still went into IU and won by 7. Now its time for Kentucky, I was very impressed by Vaden, Ewing, and especially DJ White. -
Don't be so sure, alot of kids were supposed to be the next Shaq. Everyone from Kendrick Perkins, to Derrick Caracter, to even Eddy Curry. Who knows if they can pack on 340 pounds and still have alot of athleticism. Derrick Caracter was 6'9 250 pounds as a 13 year old, he's one of the top players in the nation in the 06 class, but he still has to pack on 75 pounds and 3 more inches to carry Shaq's size, Shaq is amazing.

The PG draft class this year is the best in a long, long time. But overall, the draft should be pretty weak, its a weak senior HS class and scouts are wary of international big men now. -
Go Illinois, tear WF apart!

Thanks for the response, I know it has nothing to do with this but have you seen or heard anything on Fernando Hernandez yet? I would love to know what kind of stuff he has.

Another note, don't read Clark Francis stuff, and Dave Telep is the best in the business.
