I would love to hear how Jones is a liability, he is still an elite shooter and is adequate defensively. Please tell me where I exaggerated the stats, I used last years stats exactly. Wade isn't on Kobe's level yet, you are right. But then again LA didn't have a legitimate 3rd scoring option like Eddie Jones. Not to mention how bad the Heats division is, they will beat up on people. Of course you can say Shaq will miss 20 games this year, but thats just opinion. I could say Jermaine O'neal and Ben Wallace will both tear their hamstrings and be out for the year and it doesn't matter. Shaq has played in atleast 67 games the last 5 years, there is absolutely no reason that he can't do that this year since he lost 30 pounds. Again its all opinion and I'm backing mine up with stats.

Damon Jones averaged 7 points and 5.8 assists last year in 24.6 minutes per game. Doleac averaged 4.5ppg and 3.7rpg in 14 minutes, which is all that they need this year. Wesley Person averaged 5.8 points in 18 minutes off the bench last year, Malik gives 4.2 points and 2.7 boards off the bench in 13 mins. Laetner gave 6 pionts and 4.8 boards a game in 20 minutes last year, Keyon Dooling added over 6 points and 2 assists in 20 minutes of action. If Charlotte can get that production out of their bench, they will win more games than anyone thought. Here is the minutes the starters will likely get a game. Wade 37mpg(can put up 18-20 ppg, 4rpg, and 5 assists) Jones 36mpg(can put up 17-18 ppg, 4rpg, and 3 assists) Butler 25mpg(can put up 10ppg 5rpg, and 3 assists a game. Haslem 25mpg(can put up 8ppg 7rpg) Shaq 37mpg (can put up 24ppg, 11rpg, and 4 assists) Thats 160 of 240 minutes in a game, I didn't even need to stretch the minutes from last year. Gave Wade a few more due to experience and Eddie 1 less to make up for it. Thats also 77 points from the starters without stretching it. Shaq is going against East centers and Eddie will get better 3 point shots due to Shaq, not to mention Shaq has lost 30 pounds so far and Rasual Butler is a very good 3 point shooter. Get 15-18 points from the bench and they will be fine. Charlotte might have as good of a bench, but I don't see Shaq, Wade, and Jones on their roster.

Not that anyone else cares, but UNC/NC State was an amazing game. In front of alot of top 100 recruits, UNC was up 5 points with 12 seconds left and NC State had the ball on UNC's half yard line, even our announcer was resigned to losing this game. But then Khalief Mitchell, UNC's stud freshman DL, stepped up and hit TA McClendon in midair causing a fumble that UNC recovered and UNC won the game. Khalief will be a name most people know in the future, he has similar talents to Julius Peppers, he's 6'7 300 and runs a 4.7 40 with a 4.12 shuttle time. UNC is now 3-3 with the losses coming to the 7th,8th, and 18th ranked teams in the nation. Get to face 11 Utah next week and #3 Miami the week after, yipee.

Jake Plummer, the QB of the Denver Broncos, is still wearing the #40 Pat Tillman patch on his helmet. He was Pat's teammate in Arizona, and now is looking to face a fine of up to 30,000 by the NFL for not taking the patch off. What the hell is the NFL thinking? Honestly how does that hurt ANYONE? I'm utterly confused.

Take a look at this article, its absolutely hilarious. Comparing JJ Redick of Duke to Alex Rodriguez. How can they possibly be comparable? One is the best all around player in baseball, the other is a streaky 3 point shooter that plays no defense and isn't even the best player on his own team. What in the world inspired this article to begin with? It has no rhyme or reason. Vitale is just a sad, sad shell is his former self. He used to provide excitement and more importantly, information, to fans of college basketball. Now he brings nothing but annoyance for everyone with the same old cliches repeated over and over.

I enjoy reading his columns, but he comes off too arrogant sometimes for my taste. But overall I like most of his stuff. Especially about draft's and his dad's reaction to things.

I'll give you a story about Clark Francis and how ridiculous he is. Bobby Knight around 10 years ago I think it was, made up a player named Ivan Renko. He said he was a great recruit that was coming to Indiana next year. Clark Francis ran an article raving about Renko saying all these great things about his game having obviously never seen him play since he didn't exist. He took a huge hit in respect from everyone from that day forward. Ranking anyone below a freshman in college is just ridiculous and most of the kids ranked are either editor/writer's family members or brothers of famous people. Its just sad.

Hines and Plax are at worst the 2nd best pair.

Hines Ward: 2001: 94 catches 1003 yards 2002: 112 catches 1329 yards 2003: 95 catches 1163 yards Placico Burress: 2001: 66 catches 1008 yards 2002: 78 catches 1325 yards 2003: 60 catches 860 yards 2001 combined = 2011 yards 2002 combined = 2654 yards 2003 combined = 2023 yards Not many can touch that, not to mention they don't have Peyton or even an above average QB throwing to them. Hines is getting more catches this year because he is a great route runner and is always open, not to mention Roethleisberger looks to him the most because Hines is the top WR and Ben can't make alot of second and third reads right now as a rookie. Don't worry though, if Plaxico is healthy the rest of the year, he will end up with 800+ yards again. He can break out with 160 yard games anytime.

He's far from an enigma. Hines Ward has been getting all the balls this year. Not to mention the Steelers offense has gone back to pounding the ball down people's throats. Plaxico is a headcase yes, but not as bad as he used to be. I've seen every single game he has played in the NFL and he has improved tremendously. You won't find a better WR tandem in the NFL than Hines and Plax.

He's been getting along better with Cowher, he seems to be doing well also. He has turned himself into a very good receiver, can run well, block well, and can go up and get it over any CB in the league. He just has lapses in his maturity and that causes the Steelers organization to get a little worried. I honestly can't see the Steelers trading him, outside of Hines and Randle-El, the Steelers have no depth at all in the WR corps.

Our problem definitely isn't drafting too many power arms, we just can't develop the one's we draft. They end up with arm trouble, or they change their delivery to become another 90mph pitcher that doesn't have much room for error.

I guess I'm the only one not the least bit excited about bringing in a clubhouse cancer in a clubhouse thats not exactly thriving with leaders. No thanks.

Beltran would be perfect to hit in front of PK, we need someone that can get to 2nd as much as possible when PK is batting to keep him out of DP's. Beltran is a very good base stealer, that would kill two stones with one signing. With that said, no way we outbid the Yankees for him. If the Yanks lose it all again this year, Steinbrenner might go insane and offer a ridiculous contract to Beltran.

I'm just proud Shaq spoke in complete sentences and without making fun of something. This is coming from a Heat fan also.

I would just like for once to be able to draft one of the elite players in the draft. Usually there are about 7-8 of them in a draft, and we miss out by about 5-10 every year and end up taking a gamble.
