Yeah I have a feeling he might be a guy that makes the roster next year out of spring training.

A team sticking up for their players, its a nice thing to see for a change... -
Isn't Street at AA Midland now? Thats a hitters league so that will be interesting to see how he does.

Is re-signing Jose really that bad of an Idea?
Palehosefan replied to JDsDirtySox's topic in Pale Hose Talk
The last thing this team needs is to get lefty hitters just to get lefty hitters. We are already bad enough against left-handed starters. We will have a big improvement next year, just by having Frank in the lineup. But still no need to look for left handed hitters specifically. Just get me someone that can get on base and make things happen. -

I don't know whats worse for Christians like myself. The Devil or people like that or Deion Sanders that just annoy and piss people off so much that they wouldn't ever listen to what they have to say. :banghead -
Petit's AA debut, 7 IP 4 H 2 ER 10 K 0 BB He apparently throws in the low 90's, but has a very deceptive delivery.

Jose has always been a big strikeout player. Somehow he managed to put the ball in play once he was traded to us. As time has gone on, it seems like he swings for the fences more and more and smiles away after every single wasted at bat. HR's are the only thing that matter to him, atleast thats the way it looks when he smiles going back to the dugout after another K or a popout. He seems pleased with himself for the 26+ homers, like he has done his job for the season. Not that I'm angry with him or anything, nope, of course not. -
Garland is fine, its another quality outing, 3 2/3rds innings and only 5 ER. Another start he gave us a chance to win.

Yep I wasn't using Harrington just because of Boras. I was using him as a player that didn't sign a couple of times and it did him absolutely no good. He has been in the independent leagues a few years and is just about the forgotten man now. -
"I don't care (about Borchard's signing bonus) — if he can't play he can't play. When we go to the winter meetings and I think this kid can't play in the big leagues for me, he's not going to be here, I don't care how much money they invested in him." Don't hold back Ozzie, tell us how you really feel , I love it, and I agree 100%. Kenny should be doing whats best for the team, regardless of Borchards signing bonus.

Garland blows, Valentin K's then comes up and blows a routine play, Gload makes a bad throw. What else is new? But that double play was the funniest play I have seen in a while. -
Put Crede with whatever trainer Beltre was with this offseason and you could have a good season. Either that or alot of suspicion of steroids. I can guarantee you Crede would hit thos pop flies atleast 10 feet further, atleast.

IF it was Deion of old, I would give him 99 speed. But since its his comeback I would put him at around 96 speedwise and about 90 agility wise. I would also give him good hands, and bad tackling ability. I would also make him get KO'ed on the first play, but thats just me -

I have no problem with how hard Juan swings. If you are going to swing, you might as well get your money's worth. Unless you are Ted William'esque, its hard to take some off the swing and place the ball in the right place. -
Here are Crede's numbers stacked up to the rest of the AL's 3B getting the most pt this season. Crede/Us .227 16br's 52rbi's .967 fielding percentage Blaylock/Raners .278 29hr's 91rbi's .959 fielding percentage A-Rod/Yanks .283 31hr's 76rbi's .965 fielding percentage Hinske/Blue Jays .254 13hr's 61rbi's .983 fielding percentage C.Blake/Indians .271 21hr's 65 rbi's .937 fielding percentage M.Mora/Baltimore .345 22hr's 80rbi's .943 fielding percentage C. Koskie/Twins .249 22hr's 59rbi's .959 fielding percentage E. Chavez/A's .282 27hr's 60rbi's .975 fielding percentage J. Randa/Royals .278 5hr's 40rbi's?? .962 fielding percentage E. Munson/Tig's .222 17hr's 44rbi's .937 fielding percentage A. Huff/D'Rays .290 22hr's 82rbi's .938 fielding percentage B.Mueller/RedSox .289 9hr's 45 rbi's .939 fielding percentage S.Spiezio/M's .209 10hr's 35 rbi's .964 fielding percentage C.Figgins/Angels .294 4hr's 46 rbi's .932 fielding percentage Basically from this group Crede is 3rd out of 14 in fielding, and arguably 7th-10th of 14 in hitting. As bad as Crede has been, there is a few guys that have been worse. What conclusion does this give me? Look for a replacement in the offseason, but it will be tough to find a good 3B both defensively and offensively that is available.

I would much rather go after Omar Visquel, Orlando Cabrera, or even play Uribe at SS all year long than have Valentin getting tons of at bats. I wouldn't mind re-signing Valentin for something around a mill a year to be a pinch hitter/utility type player. They always mention he's a good guy to have in the clubhouse. But put Cabrera or Visquel with Uribe as the combination and we are in great shape. -

I can't stand fantasy drafts on there. It takes away everything from the game to me. I try to build a dynasty by importing draft after draft class from my NCAA game. Now I have two OLB's with 90 speed each and I have speed everywhere else. I have a receiver from NCAA that I didn't create, he's 6'5 210 pounds and has 99 speed. Basically I just try to get the most speed I can everywhere. I learned a secret from someone on the NCAA game that you should recruit atleast 3 MLB's EVERY year because they can be moved to other spots on the defense and gain attributes, so you can have all of your DT's with 86 speed etc. -
Which will happen first, Rogowski will finally get called up to AA or Valentin will stop sucking? Also its nice to see Fields on fire.

Nice game overall, VT loses 24-13, but put up a good fight. Reggie Bush is an absolute stud and VT should only have slight problems at OSU and against Cal. -
I agree about your post and what you meant to say in the title, but I have to admit thats a funny title.

Why doesn't Willie start every game at 2b or CF?
Palehosefan replied to maggsmaggs's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Neither Willie or Robby are the answer at 2B for the future. Willie should be getting the PT being the lesser of two evils. But right now we don't have a 2B in our organization that should be starting for us next year. I think that has to come through trade or free agency. -
