  1. Somebody needs to teach Gload how to play OF. Thats twice now he was flat footed trying to make a throw. Terrible.
  2. Thought this should deserve its own thread, and didn't see his combined numbers anywhere. So I calculated them myself. These numbers are just sick, in my opinion BMac's our best pitching prospect in a few years atleast. 16-5 3.48 era, 158 innings pitched, 122 hits given up, 26 walks, 188 strikeouts. More than 7 K's to each walk.
  3. I guess it should have been put like this huh, Larry wanted timeout, Larry didn't get timeout till later, game over.
  4. Don't want to spoil it for you, so if you don't want to know the ending, don't read this next. US loses to Argentina 89-82 I believe was the final score. Pitiful showing by the team, but they were doomed from the start. Team was horribly put together with no outside shooting, just a bunch of athletes unfamiliar with each other on a team level thrown together.
  5. lol the fun part about modding is getting into an argument with someone, then always making the last response and closing the thread.
  6. From those stats in a rookie ball league, I would have to assume he was hitting 85mph still. I can't imagine him letting those runs in with a 90mph fastball and a great curve. Now that they have let his arm rest and it didn't work, I think they should try something different like building his arm strength up. I don't really consider Honel a prospect anymore, but maybe that will change.
  7. wow you aren't going to like the answer. According to the stats he pitched one third of an inning and gave up 4 ER. He's sporting an era of 108.
  8. This could turn out one of two ways. It could turn out ok and be drafted again high next year like his bro. Or it could turn Matt Harrington like, yuck.
  9. Thats something I've learned to deal with. Power pitchers come to the Sox all the time and lose 2-3 mph almost automatically. Bartolo Colon is one of the few that I can remember that it didn't happen too.
  10. Yep, but its always nice to see career minor leaguers called up and get a shot. We just have too many career minor leaguers on our AAA and AA teams, especially at the beginning of the year.
  11. It would still be hard for me to take anyone over Vernon Wells in the AL, but Aaron is solid.
  12. Whoever said Larry Broadway, I think you meant Larry Sutton. Larry Broadway is about 23 years old and was a 1B from Duke drafted two years ago I believe.
  13. Here is a quote from Larry. Said Brown: "We had basically turned the ball over twice against their press, and you know I'm still trying to teach and win a game. But when I saw that some seconds had run off the clock, and I saw how late it was, I tried to wave it off, but they wouldn't let me. He then said that he needed to learn the rules a little better for that not to happen again.
  14. lol marsh, and from your avatar I can assume you don't think much of California or NY either, right ;-).
  15. Here's what happened, first of all the Spain coach is a dick. Second, Larry wanted a timeout at around 1:20 in the game when the US was up just 5 points. They didn't stop the game until 20 seconds left in the game and thats when they allowed the timeout, Larry was quoted as saying he tried to take it back, but in international play thats the rules. Another incident blown way out of hand.
  16. Thats exactly what Dallas needed, ANOTHER offensive minded player!!!!!!! Mark Cuban you are a very cool guy, but when it comes to putting a team together you could use some work. One day its just gonna finally occur to him, what has occurred to the rest of the league already, Dallas will never win it all without defense. Time after time they trade for more and more offense, apparently hoping they can just beat opponents 150-149 every game. I'm in Texas and I get sick of seeing these crappy trades all the time. Dampier would have made ALOT of sense, but Terry? :banghead
  17. With Atlanta's team right now, he's gonna make Ben Wallace jealous in a few years. They have the offense to get it done, but defense will be the question. They are alot like the Sox, without Vick/Thomas they are completely done.
  18. lol but beating UNC in 2001 was like beating William and Mary. Also not to be picky but Illinois had Deron in the game last year.
  19. There is gonna be some great matchups in the IU vs. UNC game, Strickland vs. Felton, Wright vs. McCants, and White vs. Williams. I'm dying for college football and basketball to get started again.
  20. He doesn't have his brothers talent, but then again who does? He wouldn't have played alot with Brian Randall there anyways. There's another reason why I think its a mistake to follow a family member that was a star to their school. Way too much to live up to.
  21. I also loved how Sean May led the team in points and rebounds for the whole tournament yet Justin Gray and Chris Paul get ALL the credit.
  22. As a fellow web developer I want to say nice job on the site. It has a nice clean look to it. Good stuff, these sites are growing and improving at an amazing rate. Great job to everyone involved.
  23. Willie can't steal bases, thats why he's at 11 on the year. He should just luck into 20 SB's by now with his speed. He's terrified to even try and run, he has no idea how to get a good jump.
  24. Willie has loads of speed. Its just completely wasted. He can't steal bases, he can't bunt. Jason I know you are a big fan of Willies, but wouldn't you agree he's completely wasting his speed? Willie could be the catalyst for Ozzie ball, unfortunately he's the catalyst for the version of Ozzie ball we are playing right now.
  25. I have to say, I was skeptical when everyone here first started jumping on BMac's bandwagon. But now I'm sorry I didn't jump on earlier lol.
