What kind of pictures does Mike have of Ozzie? Has to be pretty bad.

Ball hit the top of the fence and came back in, Carlos made another lazy mistake that cost the team. He's not the sharpest tool in the shed.
-
Great trade for both teams, getting Stackhouse allows Dallas to trade Finley in the deal for Shaq, possibly allowing them to keep Howard and Nash. Cuban has enough money to take on the extra contracts that Washington couldn't.

I'm hoping the Lakers get stuck with Walker, that will be hilarious to see him and Kobe fighting for shots each game.

Made a few changes to the top 5 to reflect the Jamison for 5th pick trade that just went down. I think Shaq will end up in Dallas now with the Lakers getting the 5th pick with others. Made a few more changes again. Man that trade really screwed up my mock :-( 1st Round. 1. Orlando Emeka Okafor 2. Charlotte Dwight Howard 3. Chicago Andre Igoudala 4. LA Clippers Shaun Livingston 5. Lakers or Dallas Pavel Podlovkine (think it will end up with Lakers) 6. Atlanta Devin Harris 7. Phoenix Ben Gordon 8. Toronto Andris Biedrins 9. Philadelphia Luol Deng 10. Cleveland Jameer Nelson 11. Golden State Josh Childress 12. Seattle Luke Jackson 13. Portland Josh Smith 14. Utah Rafael Araujo 15. Boston Robert Swift 16. Utah Kirk Snyder 17. Atlanta Kris Humphries 18. Orlando Ha-Seung Jin 32. Chicago Beno Udrih 33. Washington Jackson Vroman 34. LA Clippers Tony Allen 35. Atlanta Jaime Lloreda 36. Seattle Delonte West 37. Orlando Jackie Butler 38. Yep, the problem with most guys over 7'2 is mobility and coordination. For every Yao Ming or even Rik Schmidts there is 10 guys like Gheorge Mhuresan and Shawn Bradley, there are a few 7'5 guys in this years draft that are nowhere near ready for any kind of pro ball, much less the NBA. Most that do succeed never win the battle against foot and leg injuries. If you get a good 7'5 player, you are lucky to keep him in his prime for 5 years. Agromelia(sp?) or whatever the disease is that makes your glands never stop producing growth hormune which will cause alot of diseases even into the late 20's.

Dang, I completely forgot about Berkman when the favorite player thread was up. Berkman would top my list for non-Sox players. But, I would rather have Oswalt than Berkman, Lance would be second on my list. Brad Lidge is another that would be great to get, but I'm sure Oswalt and possibly Lidge are untouchable.

Yeah, we haven't had much success with football size pitchers lately. Brian West, Reed, and Wright haven't lived up to their big builds and 95mph heat coming out of the draft. Hopefully Russell can change that trend, he's off to a good start. I also think Brandon Allen will be a very good player in the future, he has the body and the athletic ability to be a good one, lets just hope he develops.

lol come on guys, you think if he's that poor that he's gonna have a nice pair of sneakers like that and be sitting in a nice gym. lol these quotes are hilarious though. "This is an awful misunderstanding," said a league source, who did not want to be identified. "As far as we know, Mr. Kudu never followed up on his letter, though we are not entirely sure. It's very possible our switchboard hung up on him several times since he doesn't speak English." "Even though Chimezie has been playing all his life with a ball made out of fused sheep's testicles."

Thanks for the compliment on the mock, too bad I won't be able to see if I was very close. I'm leaving tomorrow morning at 7:40 for a couple of weeks in Southern Cali. Pierce to Chicago would be great, but Ainge would be burned at the stake by Celtics fans, not that is matters lol.

Hopefully Russell can teach the other giant on the teach, Rylan Reed, somethings about pitching. I'm still waiting for Reed to live up to that 95mph fastball coming out of the draft. A 6'8 250 and 6'7 260 pounder on the same pitching staff, thats scary.

Here's my full 2 round mock draft I made from another site. 1st Round. 1. Orlando Emeka Okafor 2. Charlotte Dwight Howard 3. Chicago Andre Igoudala 4. LA Clippers Ben Gordon 5. Denver Peter John Ramos 21. Utah Sergey Monya 22. Portland Kevin Martin 23. Portland Sebastian Telfair 24. Boston Dorell Wright 25. Boston Anderson Varejao (did he pull out?) 26. Sacramento A. I agree its too early to make any decisions, but Loiaza has been leaving pitches up all season long, thats gonna have to change. We need him back to last years form. I'm definitely willing to give it more time, just commenting that pitching hasn't been very good yet. But, then again we haven't been on a big hot streak yet either.
-
I'm alot less optimistic about him than you are Jason, Garland's era is at 4.64 and I don't see much of a difference then of his past 4 years of 1 or 2 good starts and then a horrible start. These guys don't have to be aces to get wins with this offense, but, if we are going to have any chance in the postseason we have to pitch much better.

According to these stats from before tonight, Mark is at 4.07 http://mlb.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/mlb/stats_hi...meSubFrame=2004
-
Something has to change with our starters though, I don't think we have a single starter with an era under 4 now that Loiaza got shelled tonight. Most of Loiaza's pitches are up, and just get smashed, he's given up almost as many homeruns this year as he did all of last year. He still has the same dominant stuff, its just left up way too much. Someone has to be accountable for this teams bad pitching, not saying he's a bad coach, just sometimes players stop listening to the same voice after awhile.
-
Anyone else think he's getting a bit nervous?
-
Yep I've had spyware blaster and Ad-Aware for a while now, and neither are catching whatever it is. Its not really harmful I don't think, in fact I think its kind of cool, I just don't want it doing anything I don't know its doing, if its just creating links out of words, then thats fine, just thought it was interesting.
-
I've got something weird on my computer, I'm assuming its a virus. Basically what it is is javascript that pops up whenever people post certain stuff. It happens on every message boards, like when people type good job, or gem, it comes up with good job as a javascript link to Monsters.com and for gem it will have a jewelry store link for it. Its weird, but really cool, doesn't really bother me, just wondering what in the world it is. I know its a java program that searches for certain words and replaces them with javascript links that match. Even the word java is a link to Sun Software for java, its crazy, any ideas?

Latest on ESPN was that Nachbar was NOT going to be included, and I got from that segment that Howard would then be the only player in the trade that could be picked in the expansion draft and it was very unlikely due to his contract.
-
Miami is going to be tough to beat for Blount, but Dampier is a good possibility, he's out of my Heats price range. It will be interesting to see if Rudy can keep Shaq and Kobe together, if so, thats gonna be an amazing battle against Yao and TMac.

That Billy Koch trade already paying off wonderfully ;-), lol j/k

Here's a little bit about him, looks like another old player signed to the team. http://www.baseball-reference.com/w/winkejo01.shtml
