  1. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 24, 2010 -> 03:07 PM) I have no idea why he uses it. It actually relates to someone trying to look flashy, but has nothing to back it up. Similar to someone swinging really hard at a pitch, but nothing good happening. It somewhat makes sense. I guess it's better than having Hawk calling people poseurs.
  2. The Droid X looks like a great phone. However, I hope Google finds a max point on screen size very soon and sticks with it. I don't want to carry around a Zack Morris size cell phone.
  3. QUOTE (WHarris1 @ Jun 23, 2010 -> 05:23 PM) Miami trades Cook to OKC. Getting closer to 3 MAX cap space I like the trade for the Heat, but my goodness how good will OKC be next year? 3 1st round picks now.
  4. I don't know if this has been posted yet. http://search.dell.com/results.aspx?k=ncaa...;evl&subcat
  5. Something else Toronto is probably laughing at. http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives...in_free_agency/
  6. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 20, 2010 -> 02:43 PM) DV's aggressiveness is clearly going to be an exploitable weakness, for now. Just don't let him watch anymore Juan Uribe tapes.
  7. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 18, 2010 -> 08:11 PM) Seems like Rios hasn't hit a line drive in a while. He just missed that one! Stretch!
  8. If we had Gavin hitting 27 times then Strasburg would forfeit.
  9. QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Jun 18, 2010 -> 06:55 PM) Can't see the game but we need to get Strasburg to throw more pitches. 46 through 4 isn't cutting it. Good luck, his current stuff is just overwhelming our hitters. If they don't guess right on a fastball, then you can forget about it.
  10. I've never seen stuff like this before. Pedro's prime was the closest I have seen to this.
  11. QUOTE (Rex Hudler @ Jun 18, 2010 -> 12:05 PM) I thought Kansas was a substitute for A&M, when it became apparent that the Aggies wanted to go the SEC route? It was a mess. Pac 10 wanted Kansas IF A&M was a part of the group as well. Then again it could be Chip Brown blowing smoke again. Chip let his 15 minutes get to his head, he started bothering Erin Andrews on Twitter asking her why she didn't follow him.
  12. Kobe truly has done NOTHING to deserve this title. I hope no more stupid f***ers compare him to Jordan.
  13. QUOTE (zenryan @ Jun 17, 2010 -> 10:14 AM) Geographically Arkansas would fit but I have no idea why Arkansas would even entertain the idea of leaving the SEC for the Big 12. Arkansas hasn't found a rival in the SEC. They apparently miss their Big 12 rivalries from the SWC days. They also thought they would go into the SEC and be a big dog, similar to A&M's thinking, and got thoroughly rejected.
  14. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jun 16, 2010 -> 03:35 PM) Why doesn't OU have more power? Why does Texas control all. It isn't like they are some small school. They have an exceptional football program (oen of the best in college football history) and recently a pretty strong basketball program. If OU loses a conference with Texas schools, they lose their entire recruiting base. They would do anything to stay with UT specifically.
  15. Pac 10 commish Larry Scott wanted to substitute Kansas for Okie State at the last minute, no wonder they supported the Big 12 deal. Looks like Texas Tech was the lone screwee.
  16. TTU's chancellor Kent Hance apparently got UT, OU, and A&M to give up their "right" to the NU/CU exit funds. The funds will now be distributed evenly in the conference. These funds were apparently part of the 20M guaranteed to UT, OU, and A&M a year, so ......
  17. The best part is that only the 20M group of UT, OU, and A&M is guaranteed money. Beebe's made up numbers could really end up biting the other 9 teams in the butt. But who could do anything about it? Not the 5 teams that were just thrilled to be a part of it, or the 3 teams that were put on a pedestal above the rest. At the very least, TTU's chancellor apparently talked UT and OU into not accepting the Nebraska/Colorado buyout money.
  18. QUOTE (bmags @ Jun 15, 2010 -> 08:02 PM) I'd love love love memphis for basketball entered into the Big 12. But yeah, Big 12 once again makes a pact that won't last. It's not gonna be around past this decade. Beebe's dumbass said that the Big 12 won't be expanding teams. Basically we have a group of teams that doesn't want to be together, has no TV contract set in stone, and only has one teams interest at heart. There's no chance this conference will be around past 2 years. The ONLY reason the league was saved is because UT got everything they wanted. If the Pac 10 offers Texas Tech or the Big 10 offers Mizzou, it's over.
  19. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jun 15, 2010 -> 12:32 PM) I'd add TCU to that list, and maybe New Mexico. Among the other hilarious parts of the press conference, Beebe stated that the Big 12(10) will not be adding 2 teams in current plans. He also said the TV deal proposed had no backing yet, and that the current TV deal runs through 2015. Texas Tech is exploring other options and now Okie State has joined in.
  20. Thankfully Tech might blow this up afterall. Texas, OU, and A&M not only get 20M a year, but they are the only schools in the conference that will get the money from Nebraska and Colorado leaving. It's hilarious.
  21. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jun 14, 2010 -> 05:55 PM) Looks like the conference may just be saved. Texas says no to Pac 10. I hope I don't see a UT grad today, I might stab them in the neck.
  22. Looks like you have been saved Heads. Texas is apparently going favor keeping a 10 team Big 12.
  23. QUOTE (Rex Hudler @ Jun 13, 2010 -> 09:37 PM) but the journey is certainly entertaining. You can say that again. The plane still hasn't left Austin. A&M might be re-considering the Pac 10 offer, or the Pac 10 commish could just be tired and waiting until the morning to go to KC.
  24. Pac 10 commish flew to College Station, Lubbock, Austin, and is now flying to Kansas. Very interesting. Looks like Kansas could benefit from A&M's stupidity.
  25. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jun 13, 2010 -> 12:58 AM) I don't get that. The SEC is a powerhouse, but wouldn't the Aggies be better served staying with their in-state rivals??? You have to understand the Aggie mindset. They want to be considered as great at all costs. Being a part of the SEC will be the magical factor that will allow them to out-recruit Texas in their minds. They will step in to the SEC and immediately be on the level of Alabama, Florida, Tennessee, and LSU even though they won their national title over 70 years ago. The rest of the world knows the truth. Arkansas found out the hard way several years ago. As long as OU doesn't jump ship to the SEC, I will just sit back and laugh at A&M.
