  1. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Mar 10, 2010 -> 04:16 PM) You're an idiot. Garrett for Iowa State is just a really bad basketball player. He sure looks the part of a good PG, but just doesn't seem to have any discernible skills. Looks like my smack talk fired him up to actually make a 3.
  2. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Mar 9, 2010 -> 05:16 PM) I despise that dude, can't even imagine how fans of ACC teams feel about him. The only thing I like about him is that he beat out Scheyer for POY in the ACC.
  3. 49ers apparently signed David Carr. Is there anymore former 1st pick QB busts that the 49ers can gather?
  4. How come nobody is picking UNC? You guys are all fools. A disastrous season was just a ploy to lull everyone into a false sense of security in ACC tourney time. Marcus Ginyard is going to develop into a legit ACC starter. Deon Thompson is going to decide against playing in the WNBA and show some toughness. Larry Drew is going to retrieve his brain from California. Will Graves is going to put down the weed and chips and guard somebody. Roy Williams will actually use timeouts. Just you wait and see.
  5. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Mar 8, 2010 -> 11:59 PM) I found this very interesting.... BTW Clark resigned with the Steelers, not to mention they signed Randle-El and Will Allen.. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4976203 If the Steelers cut Limas Sweed, I would hope the Bears look into the 6'4 tall WR former 2nd round pick. Could be a diamond in the rough and the big WR the Bears (and Cutler) have been dying to get. Limas is not the answer for anyone. He was given every opportunity to step in immediately and play beside Ward and Holmes, but he's extremely lazy and has hands of stone. Basically he's the prototype UT receiver over the years.
  6. Having your accelerator stuck in California is a relief, as you are still getting passed on the highways.
  7. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 7, 2010 -> 05:38 PM) No, the Bears play a straight-up 4-3 defense, so he'll be going into that system. I never heard much desire from him to serve as an OLB; suppsedly he never liked that the Panthers would have him dropping back on occasion. Ah, wasn't sure. He was supposedly interested in the Patriots because he could be a 3-4 OLB, but then he signed so quickly with the Bears, so I was wondering.
  8. I truly wish I cared, but I just don't. With that said, I'm going with Kansas State over Kansas.
  9. I guess I'm going to be watching some Bears games now that Julius is aboard. Haven't paid much attention to the Bears D, but is Julius getting his wish as a 3-4 rush OLB? If so, he could have a monster year.
  10. Duke starters in the game up 33 points with less than 5 minutes to go. Several ACL blowouts would be nice.
  11. I don't want to shock you guys, but UNC just isn't very good. In all seriousness, getting Thompson and Ginyard out of the program will be a good start, and a few transfers are hopefully in order. There's just a plague with this roster right now, and it needs to be cured. Oh and @#$! you Pat Knight. Quit like your daddy dips*** did.
  12. Looks like Wisenhunt is really sticking it to the Steelers by giving away Boldin to the Ravens. Then Ben still can't keep his dick in his pants. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4970050
  13. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Mar 2, 2010 -> 07:59 AM) The original rumor comes off of a blog published by the Boulder newspaper. Doubt its credibility, but the thought still has me a tad excited. I want him at Texas Tech, but the only comments I seem to get are "yeah go find him in the drunk tank and hire him." It's ok to choke players and be a douchebag as a head coach, but don't drink too much.
  14. QUOTE (Jimbo's Drinker @ Feb 27, 2010 -> 11:34 AM) That would be so dreamy, but no. Larry Drew is transferring though. I don't know that many UNC fans would care of Drew stayed or left at this point. As for Roy on the hotseat, he just had the best 5 year run that any coach has ever had without the help of Sam Gilbert.
  15. QUOTE (DBAHO @ Feb 26, 2010 -> 08:21 AM) I feel sorry for Golden State fans though. That team's got absolutely no chance at contenting while Don Nelson is there. If they actually had a decent coach, that team could go places because they have a lot of young talent. As for Curry, he is going to be a very good player for sure. The key for him though will be to improve his defense over time otherwise he'll be nothing more than another Monte Ellis. I agree about Don Nelson, he's an absolute headcase. However, I think Stephen Curry is already a better play than Monta Ellis. He's a better passer, better shooter, and is a legit PG in the NBA. Monta Ellis is a solid young player, but he has also been a gunner on a really bad franchise(coach). I couldn't believe Golden State turned down OJ Mayo and Hasheem Thabeet for Monta Ellis. But then I remember it was Don Nelson at the helm. Curry and Mayo would have been a great young backcourt, and Thabeet could have provide 10-15 mpg of defense beside Biedrins.
  16. Stephen Curry looks like he will be a superstar in about a year. The sheer amount of young talent in the NBA is ridiculous now. What a waste it would be to lose a year of play for all these young guys in the league.
  17. So I usually keep up with this thread as much as I can, specifically about sports games, but I still have a question. I don't use the online play, or play a ton of actual games on it, I just love the general manager, franchise type stuff. Is there any reason I should think about getting MLB2k10 this season instead of the Show? I saw that MLB2K10 has compensation picks in the amateur draft now, can't remember if the Show had that last year or this year.
  18. QUOTE (Sonik22 @ Feb 23, 2010 -> 10:26 PM) he can't gtfo soon enought, i f***ing hate him I don't even have energy to b**** about my coaches anymore this season. Roy Williams took a season off, and Pat Knight makes Chris Lowery look like Hubie Brown.
  19. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 23, 2010 -> 12:30 PM) Rose isn't a ballhog. In fact he is the opposite. Even on a team with no real natural scorers, he is too giving with the ball. Wade is definitely not a ball hog. He's one of the best passing shooting guards in NBA history, and is willing to defer to teammates whenever there's any amount of talent around him. Wade and Lebron would work tremendously well together, with Wade deferring to Lebron most of the time. However, it's just not happening.
  20. QUOTE (zenryan @ Feb 22, 2010 -> 01:37 PM) That's only for the opener right? At first I liked it and now the more I look at it the more I dont. Yeah, only the opener and special occasions. I'm in the same boat as you, when I first saw it I was excited. But now I'm worried UNC will become the Oregon of the East.
  21. I think Andrew Bynum has the most potential at the center position. He's a gigantic human being like Shaq, and has fantastic skills for a 22 year old. Oden has the same kind of potential, I just don't know if he will ever be healthy for 50+ games a season.
  22. Ha, watching Roy "coach" this team is just unbearable this year, you can clearly tell he has absolutely no idea how to fix it.
  23. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Feb 18, 2010 -> 09:58 PM) LeBron is going to be the ultimate prize this summer obviously, but if the Cavs don't win the NBA Title this year, I think it's only fair if the choker word is thrown out there in regards to the King. There is going to be a lot of pressure on him this spring. When you look at the talent around Kobe compared to LeBron, I just don't see how anyone can question LeBron if he doesn't win it all. Kobe has 3-4 all-stars around him on the roster. LeBron has a borderline all-star in Maurice Williams and an over the hill Shaq, mixed in with a lot of role players. LeBron truly makes his teammates better like MJ did, Kobe just rides the talent along. LeBron is the only guy I can imagine right now that might end up being the GOAT.
  24. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Feb 18, 2010 -> 12:52 PM) Did you see how much money they took on? How the hell are they gonig to be any good? I guess if Yao comes back they'll be better, but they have a lot of highly paid wing players. None of the contracts are terrible. Jeffries only has one year left on his deal and Martin is getting paid good money for good production. Jordan Hill still has the potential to be a nice PF in the future, and the 1st round pick switch and 1st round pick addition are helpful of course. However, I do think that NY will end up with Lebron and Bosh this offseason, so the picks could be very low 1st round picks. I'm also guessing that Bosh gave Houston the impression he wasn't interested in signing.
