QUOTE (WHarris1 @ Feb 18, 2010 -> 12:30 PM) Indeed what I was thinking. Bulls could be left out come this summer after all. The Heat have done absolutely nothing to appease Wade, so I wouldn't be surprised if he left for Chicago. Now that the Knicks have 2 max deals available, the Heat are absolutely retarded not trading for Stoudemire right now and working on re-signing Wade. -

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Feb 18, 2010 -> 12:26 PM) What a f***ing awful trade for the Rockets. The are seriously gonna take on all that money just for Martin? Terrible. Kings did excellent as did the Knicks. Say what? The Rockets made out like bandits. They received Kevin Martin, Jordan Hill, Jared Jefferies, the right to swap 2011 1st round picks and the Knicks 2012 1st round pick from what I understand. http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=4924836 -

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Feb 17, 2010 -> 04:22 PM) I thought the Heat did offer Beasley and the Suns didn't want him? I thought the same thing, but a later report from a Suns exec said the Heat hadn't even offered Beasley yet. The Suns guy said a deal would get done if the Heat would just offer up Beasley and one of the 1st round picks, but the Heat are holding back so far apparently. You have to wonder, the Heat have never been sold on Beasley's personality and attitude, but Amare is basically an older more polished version of Beasley personality wise from what I have heard. 8 rebounds from a guy that big and athletic getting 30+ minutes? Hmm. http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives...sley_for_amare/ -

QUOTE (Cowch @ Feb 17, 2010 -> 04:12 PM) New Twist In Amare Stoudemire Trade Drama Involves The Chicago Bulls http://www.brightsideofthesun.com/2010/2/1...mare-stoudemire Hell, the Heat might as well throw Wade into the deal as well. The Heat wouldn't offer Beasley, or either of the 1st round picks to Phoenix, but now they are going to throw all 3 in the deal? Sure. If the Heat are giving up Beasley and two mid-1st round picks then they better be getting more than Amare. They better offer that same package to Minnesota for Al Jefferson first. -

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 17, 2010 -> 11:51 AM) You have to hand in your man card when you think it's funny to watch people fall flat on their face while trying to jump on ice? "I feel like I watched these 12 years ago and the level of skill of the competitors was an order of magnitude better than what we've seen so far." It starts to blur the line when you have been watching for 12 years and notice the skill level. -

I don't know what's funnier, hillbilly Jimmy Dykes disbelief of the Mississippi State fans throwing stuff on the court after getting screwed over by the refs, or UNC basketball. -

QUOTE (ChWRoCk2 @ Feb 16, 2010 -> 12:47 PM) I will f***ing lose it if the Bulls don't make a trade by the deadline. If we are getting any sort of picks and expiring contracts for Thomas by god hit the accept button Pax and Gar. LeBron won't go anywhere people, I don't see him going away from his hometown to play somewhere else so stop the speculation. On top of that following up MJs legacy is not something LJ will want to do imo. I think Lebron's a lock for the Knicks. He likes the spotlight too much to pass up that opportunity. I'm just worried that the Knicks could also sign Chris Bosh as well if they can make a deal or two to shed some salary. -
QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Feb 16, 2010 -> 11:25 AM) It shouldn't even be a question...get the Droid. It is really solid. So is the HTC android phone Verizon offers. Yep, I have the Motorola Droid and I got my fiancee the HTC Droid a a month and a half ago, both are really solid phones. My Motorola Droid has the slide out keyboard, but I just use the touchscreen pad anyways. We both love our phones. My brother and sister both have IPhones and they Droid/Iphones are very comparable. You obviously won't have nearly as many apps yet on the Droid, but they will come in time.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 16, 2010 -> 08:16 AM) Why would the Grizzlies mess with what appears to be a playoff team right now in exchange for Michael Beasley? Why would Phoenix be more interested in Gay than Beasley but the Grizzlies would be more interested in Beasley than Gay? Memphis isn't a playoff team with Rudy Gay or Michael Beasley this year. Memphis would have a younger version of Gay that is under control for 2 more years. Phoenix would get a very good young player in Gay that they could re-sign for cheaper than Amare, or let both Gay and Richardson go and have cap room this offseason. Phoenix doesn't want Beasley for whatever reason, otherwise Memphis wouldn't be needed in a deal between Miami and Phoenix. Edit: I would guess that the Heat would have to throw in DQ Cook to Phoenix or a 1st round pick, and that would break the deal for me if it must be a 1st. -

Heat are looking for a third team to make an Amare deal work. Saw this possible trade posted on another board and it seemed to make sense for everyone. Suns get: Rudy Gay and Quentin Richardson Heat get: Amare Grizzlies get: Michael Beasley Thoughts? -

Georgian luger dies after crash, http://sports.espn.go.com/olympics/winter/...tory?id=4909034 The way he apparently died is just brutal. 90 mph over the ledge and into a metal pole? Something has to change with the course before the live event. -

QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Feb 12, 2010 -> 01:55 PM) Apparently, three teams have trades in place for Amare Stoudemire. The Bulls are one of them per Ric Bucher. I'm guessing another is Miami. I wonder who would be the third team. I'm all for the Heat not winning that sweepstakes. -

From the article linked above. "McGrady is the center of discussions among the Rockets, Washington Wizards and New York Knicks in a three-team trade scenario. As part of a larger package, the moving pieces would send New York’s Al Harrington(notes) to Washington and Washington’s Caron Butler(notes) and Brendan Haywood(notes) to Houston." , Washington would be adding 27 points, 17 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 2.4 blocks, and 2 steals a game for McGrady's expiring contract. Not half bad. -

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Feb 10, 2010 -> 10:06 PM) what are you talking about baby! it's the ACC! North Carolina! The Dukies! It's the epicenter of basketball! It doesn't get any better than this baby!! Ohhhhhh! (that was an UGLY game. I dunno how UNC has fallin that much given the amount of talent on that team. And Duke is going to get killed once they play a team that actually makes them work on both ends of the floor) Roy only has 7 mickey D's All-Americans this year. Can't expect him to do much with that. Thankfully next year he will likely have 10, so maybe something can happen then. In all seriousness, it's amazing how many guys on UNC's roster just don't give a crap. Deon Thompson has always belonged in the WNBA, but then you throw in Ed Davis' laziness and absolutely no guard play, and it's a disastrous year. Watching Ed Davis play over and over again, I just am completely baffled at how Ed Davis is a potential lottery pick. He's horrendous offensively, and lazy in the weight room. Brandan Wright was twice the prospect, and look at his struggles. Oh well, next year should be a great improvement. -

QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Feb 10, 2010 -> 08:51 PM) John Henson and Ed Davis putting on a shot blocking clinic for UNC against Duke but this has been a really poorly played basketball game thus far. Roy can't figure out just how worthless Ginyard and Deon are on the floor. He just can't get past that they are seniors and it kills UNC. Ugh. -

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Feb 9, 2010 -> 07:12 AM) Its funny how a coach can win two national championships in 5 years, but he has a bad year defending the second one, and fans already call for this head and talk about how horrible of a coach he is Yep, anyone calling for his head is an absolute moron. I still wouldn't trade him for any other coach in the nation. It's just shocking how mediocre he looks as a coach with mediocre talent. Thankfully he's the best recruiter in the game and knows how to use the athletes. -

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Feb 8, 2010 -> 11:01 AM) Especially since there are SO many college stars that dominate at the college level, but can't do crap in the NBA: Adam Richardson, Marvin Williams, Andrew Bogut, etc... I think you meant Adam Morrison, but I don't understand the Marvin Williams inclusion. He averaged 11.3 points, 6.7 rpg in his only collegiate season. He averages 12.1 ppg and 5.4 rpg in the NBA where he has to find shots from Joe Johnson, Jamal Crawford, and Josh Smith. -

UNC about to fall to 13-10 on the season with a 20+ point loss at UMD. Roy should get a trophy for worst coaching performance of the year. 7 Mickey D's AA's and are a long shot to even make the NIT. The worst part is that Roy will come back to any fan questioning this years team with his usual "I have more basketball knowledge in my pinky than you do in your entire body" routine. -

Trade offer, would it be fair? Heat trade: Michael Beasley Dorell Wright Udonis Haslem Quentin Richardson 1st round pick Wizards trade: Caron Butler Antawn Jamison Wizards get a ton of cap space open next year and a young guy in Beasley to build around. Heat get two good veterans to pair with Wade. Heat would still have enough cap space to go after Chris Bosh next year with Jermaine O'Neal's salary leaving the books. PG: Chalmers, Alston SG: Wade, Cook SF: Butler, Jones PF: Jamison, 1st round pick(Brackins?) C: Bosh, Anthony Think that might win some games :-).
