Maryland is pissing their NCAA hopes down their leg now. Just lost to Clemson after leading by 20 with 11 minutes to go. Clemson hit a 30 foot 3 with 2.5 seconds left to go up one against Maryland and won. I don't know if any other conference has two coaches as overrated as Gary Williams and Paul Hewitt.

Maryland and VT have winning records in a much better conference, and more wins than Kentucky. Houston and UAB are on similar standing with Kentucky.

The SEC this year has been garbage. Kentucky and Arkansas should be fighting for the 5th and final spot in the tourney. Kentucky has to win at least 2 more games to get on the bubble sitting at 18-12/18-13. If Arkansas loses their next game at Miss and UK wins at South Carolina, then I would give Kentucky a solid edge to get that 5th and final spot.

Mayo is going to be 21 years old as an NBA rookie next year, and while he is a very solid NBA prospect, he has been passed by Beasley, Rose, Bayless, and Eric Gordon in his class. Deandre Jordan's potential should put him ahead of Mayo as well. Still in the mid to late top 10 Mayo would be a nice selection and instant help for a team looking for a scoring SG.

Nah I'm not kidding. Guys like Peterson and Haluska could do some damage with a PG, and you have some athletes at the SF/PF positions. You just have to find a PG somewhere that's worth a damn.

UNC defeats Florida Atlantic 7-1 in their opener, Ackley and Seth Williams with 2 HR a piece and Alex White pitched 5 2/3 6 K's 0 ER. Ackley is going to put up some monster numbers, he is something else.

So Heads I just got back from the ISU/Tech game, and it was a lot of fun. But I didn't realize how much talent ISU has everywhere but at the PG role. Hubalek is a monster inside, and the younger Haluska has got some game. The Bryan Peterson kid seemed like a great shooter, and the best PG option, but didn't get as much P/T as I would have thought. Wesley Johnson just couldn't stay out of foul trouble, same with Trevor Cook on our side. Anyways, if that Hubalek kid could have just found a reliable PG option, he could be putting up monster numbers.

As for Drew, he isn't really that big of a suprise. 4 PG's would be chosen, Drew was ranked #6, and #5 was Bud Mackey who couldn't be chosen. Drew was taken over the #4 PG Jerime Anderson, both have similar size and numbers. UCLA got their revenge in a sense with 3 selections in the Jordan Classic All-Star game to UNC's 1 selection.
