  1. Matt Ryan reminds me a lot of Ben Roethlisberger. Not sure Ryan is as strong as Ben, but there's a decent chance he's smarter.
  2. I have been amazed it has taken that long, Missou is a perfect fit for him.
  3. Glad to see Martin Zeno on there as well, he should have a big year. All 12 of us TTU basketball fans appreciate it.
  4. Zo played well beside Shaq when given the chance last year and he's more productive than Udonis in his limited time. Still, I don't see Zo playing more than 20-25 mpg even if he starts, he can't handle much more.
  5. That's the nice part about having Haslem and Blount as back-ups. Shaq won't make it through a full season ever again, neither will Zo.
  6. I was shocked to see Davis' 4.8 apg number. The Heat don't really need his defense, but rather an offensive minded player to fill in for Wade's relative absence, that and to get rid of Walker's lazy, albatross contract, self. I would bet you will see alot of Alonzo Mourning as a PF next to Shaq with Haslem backing him up.
  7. Heat are about to deal Antoine Walker, Michael Doleac, Wayne Simien, and possibly a future 1st rounder to the T-Wolves for Ricky Davis, and Mark Blount. http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=3077037 As a Heat fan, I love this deal. More scoring, rebounding, and get rid of Walker's contract, even if it costs an extra 1st. Might as well make 1-2 more runs at a championship while Shaq can still walk. Minnesota also gets a chance to let Foye, McCants, and Brewer get most of the 2-3 minutes and grow.
  8. Glad to see South Florida didn't drop out of the top ten. Rutgers had to throw everything in the playbook at them to get a win at home.
  9. Agree 100%. I'm sure we will see fair catch signals added to reviewable calls now. That was a ridiculous call.
  10. Not really, Missou had a lead on Oklahoma in Norman in the 4th quarter and just couldn't put it away. Missou would beat OU in Missou or on a neutral field. Especially if Temple is back.
  11. Yeesh, if the Steelers lose this game with Troy, Hines Ward, and Holmes back with Bailey out and Cutler colorblind then I'm going to go nuts.
  12. Might as well play him in a wheel chair, not like it's going to affect his defense. He was ready to take Gerald Wallace's SF spot away from him... teehee. But seriously, this is the season where Felton can catch up to Deron and Paul's level. He has Richardson, Wallace, Okafor, and Brezec in his lineup now.
  13. I despise that kind of quote from kids. If you feel that way, fine, but don't express it in an interview.
  14. Yeah, he's also having nightmares about his receivers dropping passes all over the field. Receivers caused two of the INT's by themselves, including Crabtree just quitting on a route and dropping 3 passes. Every year Tech goes on the road in a hostile environment and just lays an absolute egg. With that said, there's not a better team in the Big 12 than Missou.
  15. Les Miles isn't a great coach, but it's hard for even him to lose with that amount of talent. Must be fun coaching that LSU group.
  16. Anybody got a corner, closet, or basement I can go hide in for the rest of the year?
  17. Illinois and Maryland were always in his top 3. But then Maryland dropped off and Ohio State came on strong towards the end after their official. I really wanted him at UNC badly, has some serious speed.
  18. Agree. Didn't even notice that Lamaar Thomas picked OSU on the show as well. That's almost out of the blue to me, I thought he was Illinois to lose. “Anthony Gonzalez worked with me on my route running,” Thomas informed" Is that not a recruiting violation like it is in basketball?
  19. Jack also had 5 teammates that averaged at least 9.2 ppg that year. You seem to be under the impression that I said they are exact duplicates. I said they have a similar CAREER paths. Both put up somewhat similar scoring numbers, both are crappy 3 point shooters, Jack shot from the floor better, James turns the ball over less, both can rebound and put up similar assist numbers. Both are pretty good point guards, and James has a chance to be drafted late in the 1st round as well if he has a good junior season and increases his 3 point shooting the way Jack did between his sophomore and junior seasons.
  20. Jarret Jack Freshman: 9.5 ppg, 3.6 rpg, 5.9 apg, 3.6 topg, 28%3PT Sophomore: 12.5 ppg 4.5 rpg, 5.6 apg, 3.1 topg, 31% 3PT Dominic James Freshman: 15.3 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 5.4 apg, 2.8 topg, 30% 3PT Sophomore: 14.9 ppg, 3.1 rpg, 4.9 apg, 2.6 topg, 27% 3PT If you can see into the future and know that James is going to have a bad junior season then more power to you.
  21. Take a look at top 15 PG's in the past 5 years. 100% of them are in the NBA or getting ready to be drafted early (Collins, Lawson). Even a top 40 PG recruit like Jack took a similar career path to James.
  22. It's not exactly difficult to turn top 40 PG recruits into NBA draft picks. He didn't get either one drafted in the top 18 picks either year. Neither GT or Marquette were in on Iman early as well. There were 3 stages to his recruitment, programs like Wisconsin, Illinois, and So. Illinois were in on Iman early, then others like GT and Marquette came on to his recruitment in the middle and UNC came on a few months later. He will certainly get freedom at GT and no discipline what so ever. He can play glorified streetball for a year before leaving, lucky him.
  23. Decided to play for a gigantic whiner in Hewitt, yuck. Easily the worst choice he could have made.
  24. Crazy. 90 mins to go and coaches still haven't been called.
