I wouldn't even call USF beating WV an upset anymore. South Florida is loaded. Their only weakness I have seen so far is that their WR's drop way to many passes. On defense they have two early round corners, an early round DE, and LB's with speed. They are an emerging powerhouse, especially with the talented prick Groethe leading the show. -
You gotta love Podsednik's hardnose slide into homeplate. I wonder if Buck even felt that "collision"?
-
I know, I just find it funny that most people don't realize that most of the black quarterbacks have a terrible time with the Wonderlic. Even Warren Moon did horrible. Touchy subject though.
-
The Wonderlic thing is funny. Why doesn't everyone make fun of McNabb and Culpepper as well for that?

We have GOT to figure out what factory the Braves are getting their SS prospects from. That's ridiculous.

Texas Tech fired their DC after the Oklahoma State debacle. New DC Ruffin McNeil gets to be broken in against Northwestern State and then Iowa State, which is good, no offense to Heads :-). -

It was great to see from Gundy. The article on the former OSU QB is pure garbage. -
I'll just say, I've never understood the prevent defense. All it does it prevent you from winning. Oakland is about to lose a game to Cleveland solely because of it. Well nm, they blocked it.

You guys haven't lived until your team puts up 700+ yards and loses. -

TTU-Oklahoma State 35-28 at the half. Graham Harrell for Tech has 388 yards and 4 TD's in the first half. Michael Crabtree has 120 yards and 2 TD's to bring his season total to 640 yards receiving and 10 TD's now as a red-shirt frosh, he's amazing. -

Well I have heard some things that make me feel better about Zeller to UNC than I ever have. I still think it's IU though, hard for me to shake that. Zeller is a very good transition big man Rex, he's a very good passing big man and he runs the floor suprisingly well. He's not blessed with lots of offensive moves, or strength, but he's got time to develop both. -

I think A&M falls a clear step below Texas, Nebraska, Missouri, and Tech. Stephen McGee just isn't a good QB. -

It's Tom Brady and the Rock, there I solved it. -

Yeah, not much to it. Marvin Williams and Sean May were on campus with Raymond Felton playing pick-up ball in the summer like UNC alumni do each year and Iman played with them. Sean May and Marvin are also students at UNC now and were talking to him about coming to UNC, so there's not problems there, but Felton was also talking to him on the court and wasn't enrolled at the time. So they are looking into seeing just how much contact he had with Iman. Here's a good quote from Zeller about it, Did you talk to any of the NBA Tar Heels during the weekend ? “Yeah I talked to them all. I talked to them at the tailgate and at the football game. They weren’t allowed to just sit down and talk to us. " -

I would go with Willie McGinest, who moved to the Browns this year. As big as Ortiz is, I think 276 might be stretching it. -
My modus operandi the past few years in college has been to just read the books outside of class and you don't actually have to attend the class very often. I buy my books from amazon.com for cheaper and then usually attend class the time before the test to see if there's a review or information given about the test, and I have been fine. But yes, usually the class is simply a regurgitation of text books. Most of my better classes have come straight from the teachers knowledge and is actually interesting with their personal touch added to the information.

Again news for probably just me and Juice, but Arthur Brown the top defensive player in the nation named his top 5 who will get official visits and they are Alabama, LSU, Southern Cal, Miami, and UNC. *Starts singing* Which of these is not like the other? Which of these does not belong? Anyways, it would be amazing to get the top defensive player in the country two years in a row. -

Indiana has supposedly taken the lead for Zeller, after a hard recruiting push from Sampson. I don't expect to pluck him away from his home state even though he had a great visit. Shumpert is very intelligent about the recruiting game and plays everything close to his vest, so to speak, so it's really hard to get a feel about him. One day I think UNC looks good, then the next he's talking up Hewitt's use of big guards, then the next he's praising Dwyane Wade's progression from Tom Crean. Who knows. -

Kendall Marshall, 2010 PG is about to commit to UNC. He goes to the same school that Marcus Ginyard(UNC SG) went to. Interestingly, both commited during their sophomore years of high school. Ok, maybe not interesting to anyone else, but still. -
I'll say it again, it's just not fair how much talent they have on both sides now.

DBAHO is Greg Ellis making any progress with his injury or is he still leaning towards retirement?

Not local for you guys, but interestingly a couple of long winning streaks came to and end recently. Independance High school in North Carolina had their 109 game win streak snapped by Cincinatti Elder two weeks ago, and Southlake Carrol in Texas had their 49 game win streak snapped yesterday by Miami Northwestern. -

Zeller and Shumpert are enjoying their officials at UNC right now, will be interesting to see how much of a difference it makes. -

Need to lock them in a room and have Sean May sit on them until they commit, or death, either one.
