    Summer Vacations

    Road trip on Memorial Day weekend to Melbourne FL to visit gf's parents. Pretty excited since I haven't been on vacation in 3 years.

    Films the family and I are guaranteed to watch this time of the year: Christmas Vacation, Home Alone 1 & 2, and A Christmas Story. Jingle All the Way, through the years, has found its place in our list of must see Christmas movies.

    I echo those who don’t post like they used to but still lurk here and there to stay on top of things. This place was truly something 2004-2006 when the Sox were adding all the right pieces to put a winning team on the field. We can only hope the same can be said about our favorite team in the not so distant future.

    Saw the original trilogy when WGN would play it almost every weekend late at night. I had to be 7 years old at the time (1997). Then came The Phantom Menace two years later and it was difficult to escape that movie without turning on the TV or going out to eat and seeing some form of advertisement on billboards, soda cans, etc. I was honestly hooked due to TPM. Now that I’m in grad school, full-time job, closing on a new home, I haven’t found much free time to read into what’s going on with the new movie, but that’ll make it that much more exciting when I go see it next week.

    2015 Films thread

    I thought Jurassic World did a nice job of referencing the original film. The movie didn’t have much originality but that’s kind of hard when there’s already two prior sequels. Not to mention they left it open for possibly one or two more sequels.
