We should have gotten a third piece in the Sale trade so I think settled is the right word. That's the worst trade of the bunch. He's a generational talent and about to be Cy Young winner. But yes, Robbie Cano and all that. The fact we got 3 legit prospects for Eaton and not Q and Sale is something

Sox acquire SS prospect Yeyson Yrizarri

QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jul 15, 2017 -> 03:03 PM) Meh.. he's young but that's about it. I think Rondon is the much better prospect for example. But nice to have a glove in the lower levels to help the pitching. Cleuluis? Sox released him last month because he was pitiful. Never got the soxtalk obsession with him other than that he was involved in a big trade. -

Considering we had 0 leverage here, sounds like a great pickup. -
Frazier to Boston Rumors getting heavy
Buehrle>Wood replied to whitesoxwinner's topic in Pale Hose Talk
If you take on all of his contract you better get Devers+. Taking on 45 million, including some going into the Sox prime years, negates the point of acquiring prospects to begin with. Of course a 45 million for Devers+ is a ridiculous premise to begin with. I don't think the Sox should take on any more than 20 million for any one player else there. -

QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 14, 2017 -> 10:41 PM) Rick Slattery??? He's been posted here before and of I emember right I think he either broke the first Frazier to white sox trade or the Samardzija deal. But fathom could be right too. -
Jimenez fell to #36 after the trade

This story has been floating NBA circles a lot today for whatever reason. Basically the gist of it is the Bulls received 3.5 million for a draft pick the same day they signed Jake Burger. The Robert signing also thrown in there. Most NBA people seem to believe it. Seems ridiculous given that Reinsdorf probably doesn't even own more than 50% of the Sox (or the Bulls?) And the transfer of funds is not that simple.

Some reports from Woj and ESPN they may get Crowder back in the sign and trade with Boston. I think Utah has a chance then to actually be better. Their young talent is in their prime years to step up and Crowder can replace a lot of Hayward's production. He's also younger and a lot cheaper with 3 years on his contract. Of course they'll be hard pressed anyways to win 50+ games again, just because the West got so much better. But anyways, I dont really see why they should rebuild yet if they can get Crowder. -

QUOTE (Sox-35th @ Jun 23, 2017 -> 07:49 AM) A lot of the smarter minds seem to understand the trade as part of a big picture (Joe Dumars gets the trade, for example). People who look JUST at the trade have bad grades, which is completely understandable, but the time was right for the Bulls to move on and they could not do that without moving Jimmy. Very few people are complaining about the Bulls picking their lane. Theyre complaining about the trade. Tanking and making an okay to good trade here are not mutually exclusive. Not sure why that is hard to understand for some. -

Alec Peters goes late in the second. Damn he would have seemingly been a lock to the Bulls if he went undrafted. -

QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 22, 2017 -> 11:11 PM) Would have been cool had they like, traded the pick for the Warriors 1st round pick in 2019 or something... The 39th pick would typically be worth the 30th pick in next year's draft. Assuming they have it, they should have done that -

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jun 22, 2017 -> 10:25 PM) Good call and I like this pick. Why do the bulls keep giving picks up in the middle of a rebuild? -

Love that this draft is absolutely stacked with point guards that would be a perfect fit for the modern NBA so Bulls trade for the bust PG from last year and draft a big -

I hate the middle of this draft and would love to trade down from 16. Portland has 20 and 26. Portland probably doesn't do that Lakers have 27 and 28. Not enough. Utah has 24, 30 and 42. I'd do it for those 3 but most probably wont. I love love Semi Ojeleye amd you can take some stashed fliers on some foreigners with the other 3 picks youd have. -

Are they taking Pelfrey out of the rotation? Why would he pitch tonight? Also, how many people are left? My power is out so can't watch

QUOTE (soxfan49 @ Jun 10, 2017 -> 09:59 AM) I agree that deserves a second chance, despite this being f***ing gross. Furthermore, this likely pushes him to round 3 or 4, and I'd definitely being willing to give him a shot, *if* he proves to be remorseful in interviews. Highly highly doubt he only falls to rounds 3 or 4

How high does he enter our prospect rankings? #2? How much are we paying in penalties?

Just got an email. Really odd survey. I don't remember them doing this in the past. Anyways they ask about Sox players and basically want you to rate them 1-8. Then they ask about certain minor leaguers too: 1. Adams 2. Basabe 3. Burdi 4. Collins 5. Danish 6. Delmonico 7. Engel 8. Fry 9. Fulmer 10. Giolito 11. Hansen 12. Kopech 13. Lopez 14. Moncada Everyone go destroy Ashe's and Covey's ranking while you can. It's too bad it's more of a marketability thing.
